Why don’t you also comment that after you activate the ticket on the app you have to wait two minutes to be really valid and if they catch you on the entrance they will fine you even if is a system created by them , why don’t you also say that in andel for example you activate your paper ticket on the entrance and need to go downstairs for at least one minute and sometimes wait for 5 minutes metro that makes you use 25 out of the 30 minutes that you bought. If you don’t tell the truth your video has 0 credibility, you do a good work spotting the foreigner scams on your country. Why don’t you start to spot the scam the metro from your country do with foreigners? Why don’t you talk about the controllers that act as they are sheriffs or detectives trying to embarace people. I am waiting for that video.

Yep, they're scumbags who get paid based on how many fines they collect, so they have a huge incentive to fine anyone if they can, which means they often fine people who should not even be fined, for example if you get a ticket that is printed incorrectly from the machine, which can happen, and it is something a local might not even notice, let alone a tourist. You paid the ticket, punched it in the little ticket puncher, boom, 1000czk fine. Yknow why? Cause fuck you, that's why.

I just spent four wonderful days in Prague and I used many of The Honest Guides helpful tips.
Everything from how to get from the airport to city centre to the best place to change money.
I made sure to eat at Linda’s Cafe, (Alfredo Cafe)
also U Maleho Glen Irish Pub and had a fabulous hamburger at The Black Dog Cantina.
I even had some coffee and cake at Olivers Cafe before riding the old tram.
Thank you very much to the Honest Guides for helping me enjoy my first and certainly not my last trip to
    the beautiful city of Prague.

I haven't been there in a couple of years, so the features might have changed a little, but the PID app is soooooo awesome. You can also buy single tickets for a set amount of time (which the app tracks for you) and you can plan a trip and the app figures out which tram/bus/etc to take and tracks the trip and all the stops for you. Hands down one of the most useful apps I've ever used anywhere.
And big thumbs up for daily menus!

Another thanks to Janek & Honza for this video, and a hugh thank you to the people of Prague for having free over 65 transport - other cities of the world wake up this is a massive plus point for bringing in us pensioners. I was a bit wary that this was not going to be applicable to tourists but yes all transport (trams, buses, the underground and even the funicular up Petrin Hill) was FREE! The service is excellent, plenty of options to get you around the city, its clean, the people are polite (even in the morning rush hour) and the majority obey the rules - no pushing and shoving to get on like the dreaded London underground. Well done Czech Republic you can be proud of your transport system.

Also find accomodation that is far from the city center. On my two visits to Prague I staid in pensions that were a 10 minute bus ride and a 10 minute metro ride away from the city center and it was soooo cheap. One went for 24€/night and the other for 27€/night. They were all very cozy, clean, beautifully decorated and perfectly safe with very pleasent owners. One was Pension u Báti in Libuš (the cheaper one) and the other was Pension Inka in Řeporyje.

Honestly the daily menu is often better than the regular food - especially the sauces and soups because they prepare them in large bathech and slow cook them. As a Czech, I nearly always choose the daily menu. The drawback is that, unless it is a vegan restaurant, they are mostly meat options or sweet options (which contain milk/butter).

It should have been about 220cz crowns according to the menu with 10% gratuity include but I only paid about 160. I've wondered why and how public mass transport is free in Portugal and Spain, but now I have to ask why and how is it free in Prague too? Because in the Nordic countries, a fee has always been requested for the use of public transport, i.e. the ticket, and for example here in Finland, a local bus ticket is around 4 euros within the A zone (can vary depending on the city) and gets more expensive the further you go (B, C, D and E price zone, the ticket price increases by one or half a euro, depending on the city). And the duration of the ticket is one hour, and the price includes one additional ride, for example for a bus change. Of course, we also use travel cards which are rechargeable once a month, for example in Finland the A zone card costs around 60-80 euros per month (previously 40-60 euros but they just raised the prices) but with an A zone card you cannot travel to B zone (and vice versa with the B zone card) because you need an AB zone card which costs twice as much because you pay for two different travel zones (and triple the price with the ABC zone card and so on).

If you are over 65, do you just ride the transportation without a ticket until someone comes and asks you to prove your age? How does it work? I’m going in a week and a half and it’s my third time to Prague. Really excited and love your channel!

Hei! Thank you for hte info! I plan on visiting Prague soon, so this comes in handy :D
A question about Lítačka app: Any card can be used? I currently live in Norway and in order to use the Public Transportation App, I need a Norwegian Card, because those are the only ones accepted.
