The top is solid spruce, the back and sides are rosewood laminate. You don’t get full solid wood until you move up to the 16 series unfortunately. That be it said, on resale sites you can find the solid versions for much cheaper almost all the time. Thanks for watching!
I owned a LS16 for a little while as well as an LLX16 which had built electronics. It sounded great but I’ve found for me I prefer something smaller bodied. I’m not a big dude so dreads or bigger make me look like a child behind them! 😂
They are easily the best value acoustic you can buy. You can even find the fully solid wood versions for ridiculous prices on Reverb, or FB marketplace. Thanks for watching!
It’s ok to admit it, most of us have G.A.S. lol. With only 2 hands why do you need more than one guitar?? I’ts never been about NEED! Lol, thanks for watching! Stay tuned for plenty more acoustic and electric guitar reviews.
@@Sick_Strings01 P.S. Yes indeed. Two of my Yamahas have the sunburst finish. By the way, if you can, please include some fingerstyle segments in your videos.
I love my LL6M A.R.E. I got mine used last year. The laminate back and sides are fine. Yamaha uses high-quality laminate materials.
Having that aged top really makes a difference too. Such a great guitar overall. Thanks for watching!
These are solid back and sides. Not laminated.

@@jobcentrepuss7545 no biggie, just glad you watched. Do you own any of the L series guitars?

in my opinion, you can't beat a yammie at any price range...an ll16d can hold it's own with a d-28 for less than half the price.

Thanks for the review. I confess that I am a Yamaha guitar fan. I would like to have one of these, but I already have five Yamahas. We'll see....
