I downsized my purse a few weeks ago. I haven't missed anything I took out. My chiropractor was thrilled to see me carrying a small purse. He said it will be better for my back and wished more women would downsize their purses.

I’m a medium sized backpack girl but that’s because I’m an artist so I usually carry my small sketch book and minimal art supplies with me, or my iPad if I’m doing a digital drawing. It is also handy to put shopping in since I hurt my shoulder/back it is easier than carrying extra bags.

Team backpack. Most practical because my daily transportation is biking.

May I as a European suggest another essential for your bag? I always carry a reusable bag with me for groceries or stuff like that, so I don’t have to buy a bag at the store every time. Even if you don’t have to buy them but get them for free, they are a waste of plastic (or paper).

ALL of my reusable grocery bags live in the trunk of my car! I was always forgetting them when I would go shopping and they took up valuable real estate in my kitchen. No more!

Something that sounds really hard work but in reality I have found takes seconds is to do a quick pull out of any rubbish or receipts once I get home. It means my bag is never really messy and is just part of the routine of putting my bag away.
Also over the years I’ve found I need so much less than I thought, no cosmetics, medications, pens etc and really focus on the health of my back by having a really light bag. xx

I love the new bad and the minimal organisation. I would add in only a cotton bag to use when shopping so that you don't have to use plastic bags. You can get a cute small one.

I sort through my bag daily. Plus I have a ton of pouches so everything stays clean, nice and neat. I take out my cash daily and count my money. Manifestation tip. Counting money energetically brings in more money. I say hello, smile, count, organize my bills, return them to the wallet with a bye and a smile. Get more cash all the time. When i say cash in my world it means even electronic credits of money.
Carla, you should take the sample size alcohol wipes with you when you travel. To clean your phone, plane seat, hotel room remote control etc…

Toilet bowl cover ( although I find in the states most if not all provide it)

I am so with you on this! I would love to downsize my work bag but would much rather carry one bag instead of a lunch bag, laptop bag, purse... I really just have to commit to one or the other. Love your summer purse- so cute!
i feel you! the black bag was my all in one I would toss my laptop in there my food my planner my trash oh my gosh it weighed a ton. I have a slim case now for my laptop that has a few pockets and I like that as my separate "work item" from my purse now. work bags are a whole other thing. thx elisabeth! ❤️❤️

something I've done in the past, is put a scarf over the top of your stuff in your purse; so it's not exposed. small silk scarf

I use to carry a big bag too. And would take ages to find anything. And then I reorganise everything into small pouches 🤣 and then I decided enough is enough, got myself a small bag and purged every nonsense item in my bag 🤣 my shoulder is thanking me now. This lifestyle is a gamechanger! I have been getting rid of probably 70% of my stuff over the course of the past three years. It has been a process. I thought i was done, but then i kept finding new stuff to declutter. But now i would say i am about 95% done and it feels amazing. My mindset and focus has shifted so much! I spend wayyyy less money now and i am feeling content and free. And the stuff i actually buy is good quality stuff that will last me forever because i really thought it through. I love to watch decluttering vids to relax and i am so glad i found your channel! You are so fun and chill. Love everything (except for the unprotected sunnies + keys combo lol)!

A purse is something I've been good about keeping minimal for a few years now. I carry a card holder about half the size of yours, attached keys and airpods to it and a bow keyring just to make it a little cutter and that's all my on the go.🙈 Thanks for sharing love watching your videos beautiful 💖💖

I think your toiletries bag is great I have one too. I call mine ‘an emergency bag’ I keep everything in it same as you but some scissors, clippers, plasters, painkillers your sample wipes! Lip balm, anything you might need when out in your neat little bag! I’ve helped people with this bag with plasters to wipes for babies!!!! Love your videos 💕

I like to use a purse organiser, so it isn’t all just a jumble on the bottom of the bag! I also have a lot of bags, so I like ones with lots of pockets so everything’s got a place
I have always used a little pouch with normal and blister plasters, pain killers, and a mini pen to have things I might need in an emergency!

Currently in the process of moving and it is the perfect catalyst for minimalism. If you don't feel like packing it and moving it then get rid of it. Works perfectly every time I move.

I just bought a wristlet wallet that can actually fit both my keys and phone. I also stashed a lip balm and extra contacts (only toiletries I need all the time) in the coin pouch. This is my essential bag then I can throw it in a crossbody bag if I need more carrying space for that day or I just grab my wristlet. This is working out well for me:)
thinking of getting a coach wristlet from the outlets over the holidays...had one for years and it was so convenient!
I did the same thing with my wallet. Just 5 card slots and a zip pocket. So much easier to use!

I can totally recommend switching the toiletries and essentials bags to bags with clips or clasps! Easier to use with one hand than a zipper.

Don't apologize for the lines on your hands! You were made that way and you have beautiful hands (and the 'hand cover lense magic' is a fun a thing to do when the hand is pale or when it has a darker tone in the lines).

I am a huge fan of David Allen. He advises to only handle it once (ohio). You pick an item up, decide, put it away. He mainly talks about email and paperwork, in the context of productivity, but you can apply it to decluttering in general too. I t was a gamechanger for me.

My problem with gift cards was I always took them back. Ended up having to go to stores, online, and phone calls to find out if any of them had money. Now once the card is empty I leave it with the clerk toss. Great job. Just the essentials. Looks great.

As soon as I finished this video I went immediately to my bag and cleaned it out, got rid of all the things I carry and don’t use, consolidated, etc.. thank you. Tomorrow will be the fridge and freezer clean out.

Carla love your channel. Just some tips: Your cards. If you shop in the malls or travel. To keep you ID's safe. Please get a static guard bag. (they even put them on hard drives for shipping) You get them at the computer store, Cost about a dollar. You put your wallet in it. Then no one can steal your cards information. If you fly have it in the bag, But when you go threw the scanner. Take it out. After its threw. Put it back in. Because even the scan machines can't read or see your cards. Someone could just pass you and steal your information. Gas and ATM and post office receipts, Keep until you get your statements or if its a package. Wait until it gets were its going. That's how I got my money back from an over night letter. It took 2 days. Gas receipts, the attendant didn't clear the pump, and was charged double. I had the receipt to prove it wasn't my charge. Not in less you bank sends you a text every time you use it. Hope this helps.

I recently bought 2 bigger bags that’s more suitable for the office environment so now I have enough room for the stuff I usually bring with me every day: a water bottle, a book and a cardigan. But I can also fit my computer if I need to. So happy about that! Your purse declutter makes me happy, love your new bag 😍

that's perfect!! I used to use the black bag as my work bag when I would go into an office...just never had it organized but would always throw in a scarf and my planner and water bottle and more haha.

Life is soooo much easier with a paired down purse. The mini bags inside the purse help for switching it up (which I tend to do with purses :)) Thanks for subbing YAY!!

only thing I would change is the keys with the sunglasses as they will scratch them. I keep my sunglasses in a sunglasses pouch to protect them. Great job!

Love that particular small purse. I would suggest that you get RFID card holders. And someone mentioned a scarf for the top of the handbag which I think is a good idea.

I keep a small nail clipper and a tweezer in my 'essentials' bag. You'd be surprised how many times those items come in handy whilst away from home!

Love the new bag. Use the alcohol wipes to clean the headphones and phone often, as they get sooo nasty. Maybe the headphones have their own little pouch too.
