Every day is something to have viewers feel sorry for one of the host and the hosts are "crying" or have the I feel so sorry for you look, she tell's it like it is on TV knowing she CAN do it WITHOUT consequences not having to FACE anyone. I personally like Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, and Miley Cyrus, and I think they are wonderful artists. Mainly Cyrus and Perry, considering they have much more experience with writing their own music, while Selena only writes a handful of hers. Not saying she's untalented though. I will agree that artist and pop star are two different things, but you have to think about it in the minds of a recording company. What are they gonna do with someone who has no personality, is physically unappealing, and doesn't have social skills? That person could be the best artist on earth, but they aren't going to get very far when it comes to popularity. Who is going to want to produce an album for an artist that's not very popular? Well, now we know why we'll never see Sharon come back on America's Got Talent. She has brought some good points. We need to see more judges to be more brutally honest and not too nice. But, I still enjoy watching America's Got Talent because it showcases many different talents other than singing. I'm sick of hearing people sing. There's nothing special about it. Do you have any idea what people, particularly women go through in the music industry when you don't look like 'how you're supposed to look'? I'm not saying I agree with it, I just like good music, but unfortunately there are people in powerful positions who do care about what you look like. That's why people were surprised when they first saw Adele (she's seen as 'overweight') - it was like she was a rare gem.
I dont agree with her opinion of The Voice. It should be about the talent, not with appearance. They are making music for the ears, not for the eyes. They should have a chance. I do agree that there are too many sob stories though.

I agree with Sharon on almost everything, except for two things, one, I don't believe you should judge on looks, even if you're not "classically good looking" if you have a beautiful voice, you should share it with the world, I've often found the people who aren't the best looking tend to have great voices, just look at Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, Joe Cocker, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker etc. there's a reason they'll be forever remembered in the music industry and are legends, there's a reason why people like Bieber and 1D won't be remembered all these years later, cause they're all looks and no voice, so I disagree with Sharon there, the other point I disagree with is not listening to a recording of someone, you never know what talent you may find with people so be open minded and hear people out

Voice wise they're all the same. You look at folks like Bob Dylan or Neil Young. They wouldn't be approved in such contests. It's ironic but true, music is not just about music.
Sharon is the best. I miss her on AGT, but after watching this it made more sense why she left. She is spot on, that's what all the shows are like now, especially AGT and especially with their singers. It was never like that when she was on AGT, and I'm thinking she knew to leave at the right time because the producers were changing the show for the worst.
