+springy 2112 Indeed thanks. Going to be using it with our youngest lad so he can get some riding practice before his CBT. Then it's got to go! Going to be very hard to avoid replacing it mind.
Hello my names max and I have a Yamaha xt350 1989 with really squeaky back brakes. What do you think I should do? I don't even know how to take my brakes off. Is there a video that can show me how of yours. Thanks!
Hi Max, nice bike. squeaky rear brake is quite common with drum brakes. You need to take it apart and clean up the pad surfaces as they may be glazed and also check the drum in the wheel is clean. I don't have a video of it yet but will do in the not so distant future I hope. Procedure is simple, but you will need to properly adjust up after. Disconnect the rear brake rod - push the arm it goes into in the wheel forwards and unscrew the nut. Remove the rear wheel (just like any other rear wheel removal video) and lift the brake unit out of the drum. Lightly roughen the pad surfaces (Do this in a well ventilated place with a mask as you don't want to breathe in brake dust). Reassemble. There are a few other bits to do as basic maintenance I will include in a future video. Hope that helps.
Just the end can replacement with the stock headers seems to be fine with the standard jetting. We will have to see about the carb work! Thanks fir the comments. Always good to have feedback.
Hiya. For service parts here in the UK there are three sources - Yamaha (very limited stock), eBay parts factors such as M&P and Busters and there are a number of online shops such as Wemoto. Best place to start is to know what you need by knowing the part number from a parts manual for the bike. Some online parts suppliers like Wemoto.com will just list everything whilst some will show the pages from the parts manual - very useful as you can see what you need but often don't give the part number. Parts manual will look like this pcfarina.eng.unipr.it/Public/Yamaha-XT-600E/4PT/Yamaha_XT600E_4PT_Parts_Catalogue_English.pdf
Hi overbror. As you might see in the opening shot, it’s an Arrow end can on stock header. Nice exhaust but way too loud even for me with the baffle removed. Skäl. David.
its getting a proper seeing too buddy...

What kind of pegs are those?
I don't recall the brand, I put the stock pegs on my Bandit.
Hello, which exhaust are you using?
