Jokingly mentioned adding Shuko for Nadu but what about lightning greaves? It used to be there and wasn't so good but it could be a nice marginal card that becomes deck changing with Nadu
@@fwg1994 but shuko is literally unplayable without Nadu where Greaves is a playable card in many decks, it just asks you to have more than one creature.
love 7 pack winston!! Respect to whoever made that decision :) I used to jam winston cube not stop with a neighbour for a summer and we started with 6 and went to 7. Stuck at 7, convinced it was more fun (for us).
The consensus in my group was you want enough packs to get as close to a quarter of the set on average. Seven is the most fun for cubes since it's just under that quarter mark.
@@KennoxGaming that was for small standard sets as cube wasn't on our radar in 09-10. It's far simpler to do for cube the pack numbers can be chosen around the style of cube, id probably do 8 for a standard or pioneer cube for example.
Im not sure if the 7th added pack made it less likely to do Best of 3s and if it did I think a Best of 3 makes for better viewing. Also, it seems like the 6th pack making for less optimal decks is what separates this from a regular cube draft more interesting.
It might be a shot in the dark, but I’m interested in getting a regular in-person vintage cube group together. I don’t have 7 others that would be down, so if you live in Edmonton, hit me up!
Was there any argument to not hit with the thief and try to strand him on 2 lands? You knew he had no land in his top 3 so you're just clearing the top of his library for him
no offence to the MH3 drafts but cube is the king of the formats.
In what sense?

Yes. @@ryanwesneski5359
From a viewing experience, I think MTGO + Draftmancer over Arena also has something to do with it.

Thanks for introducing Winston draft, my buddy and I just did a vintage cube Winston last Friday in park hill and it was great.

The problem with greaves is that it doesn't re-equip to Nadu because of Shroud. You can juggle it between two creatures, though.
I think Shuko having synergy with Urza's Saga, plus the shroud issue edges it out compared to Lightning Greaves.

aww man, only two today? Thanks for the content! These have become my favorite
I love these weekly formats! Especially good ol Winston!
Loving Winston Wednesdays! Keep them coming!

540/4 is 135, which would be 9 packs not 7 :). I agree 7 is a good number though

I made the suggestion to the dev to allow an odd number of packs! That was literally me! Love it!
Great suggestion!

Instead of the super narrow Shuko to support Nadu how about the broader card Lightning Greaves?
Love Winston Wednesday!!!
If 7 instead of 6 means 2 instead of 3, I'm heavily against it. :-)
I love the guts to play Show and Tell against Flash deck
how I missed you, Winston Wednesdays
Still enjoying the variety with some Winstons!
Boarding in Cast into the Fire seems good vs. Jitte and Clamp
I have been thinking about shuko in cube, was thinking cephalid illusionist might make a decent replacement to consultation.

That "Worldspine Wurm!" gives the same energy as Michael Che being forced to diss Kendrick Lamar
Can I request original art for Elves of Deep Shadows?
I love lsv vintage cube its the best.
I miss the cube videos every Wednesday
I like the 7 packs! These decks have been more dynamic and interesting than your prior drafts.
My vote is for 6 packs. Winston doesn't *need* the decks to be better.

I would love to see what kind of constructed deck you could come up with that would include Bolas's citadel
