Great little power supply. I use one to power my FT-840 and an FTM-3100R when i bring it in from my vehicle. Never a problem, and i dont get any reports of noise. Love the dentent at the 13.8V position on the voltage adjustment knob.
I’ve had this model for 3 years now. Still going strong. I charge my Bioenno batteries with it as well since I can raise the voltage which is very handy. I did wrap a type 31 torroid several times around the 120v power cord for some small rfi noticed on 40 meters.
Thanks for commenting. Curious, do you direct connect from the power supply / power pole to the battery, or do you use some device in between to regulate the charging? Never though to do this.
@@HOAHamRadio I called Bioenno on this before doing it and they said the BMS would be fine to plug the battery PPoles right into PPoles on the Power Supply. You can watch the Amp meter fall as the BMS takes over when the battery is fully charged. ☺️
I also have found a compact universal regulated switching power supply of 30 amps on Amazon. It is called the JESVERTY SPS1330. I highly recommnd the JESVERTY sps1330!!!
Can i ask what size anderson power pole is needed for the rear connection? I just bought one from Us wanted to get ready with this power pole. Great explanation! Thanks to you
A nice feature is a switch that locks the output voltage at 13.8v so you don't have to constantly check the meter to see if you bumped the adjustment knob.
Angel, I do not have any actual experience with the Astron brand, so unfortunately, I can't offer an objective opinion on that. Thanks for stopping by and watching.
I recently purchased this. I am impressed with how quiet the fan is.
Just does what its supposed to and doesn't cause any problems; perfect!

A great piece of gear...never even know its there, as it should be.
I have the same one. It's amazing. It runs my 100W HF, 2 - 50W mobiles, my APRS Digipeater, and charges my 40AH battery.
It is small, versatile, and just plain old gets the job done without ever needing any attention.
Great Supply - Tiny footprint and does the job. Have two and both are 5 yrs old I think. No issues, no regrets, and would/will buy again if needed.
It is indeed...just does what its supposed to do!
I have is good 3 years still have and working perfectly never shut off 24/7
You bet, mine just keeps on sending out power; never have to think about it.
I've owned this unit for 1.5 years. It's great.
It sure is great. Thanks for watching The_Happy_Ham

I wish I would have thought to mention that, it is a good feature.
My knob had a very pronounced detent. No switch though.
What is the paneling you use on the back wall?
It is a metal diamond plate pegboard: amzn.to/43NbsEd
Thats a good power supply i like mine👍💯
