Mameryu is my favorite maiko. She has such distinct mature features that the geiko style will look gorgeous on her when she changes. I was able to make a beautiful shot of her smiling when she was qalking in gion street and fell in love.
They are real - these "beer" gardens allows for outsiders to have a small geisha/maiko face to face experience interactions that wouldn't normally happen.
