@loisplane It's true. I stand up and dance to this at work. Contrary to what one might think, it really helps me work better and more efficient and not just happier. For sure.
Silverchair, how did you come up this video? I remember the Roseland Ballroom show, and I remember the Vh1 special, which culled a few excerpts from said show but definitely did not include Gotta Jiboo.
WHALE!!!! I love how people idolize pre-hiatus and rip on the whale/whammy pedal playing of 3.0, but what is Trey doing towards the end of the jam? And in the 10/4/99 Sand? And the 7/10/99 Chalkdust? Oh, thats his whammy pedal. haha
@jojojigaboo Most bar bands I know can't improvise their way out of a paper bag, let alone the way that Phish does. That and having a completely different show every night sets them apart from most bar bands, I think. If you're looking for stronger lyrics, listen to Farmhouse or Billy Breathes. Good introspective shit there. The reason that some of their lyrics seem a little weird or esoteric is because they delight in not taking themselves seriously, which is a uniquely Phish thing.
@Nugz102 Except, forgive me, I really dislike the "drinking" lyric. It's no joke that booze destroys more families... Or maybe, if your philosophy holds true, maybe it's a sobriety song for those who for keep on drinking. Like, when someone accept that they are an alcoholic it's then that they can really begin to move off it. I like!
@jojojigaboo You don't even know phish, you have no idea what you are talking about. im glad you don't know phish cuz that would just be one more person at the next show makin in crowded
