isnt it Hector Ferrell? says hector bravo
First thing I thought was, "Dad's gonna kick my ass."
Dad's are indispensable.
Thanks for sharing my story brother 🙏💯
Thank you for sharing man, you’re a badass through and through and give an inspiring story. Thank you for your service.
Hope you and your family are doing well. Appreciate you keeping it real, I’m sure your story has/will help and maybe even save many people. Thank you for your service
It takes a real man to admit you need help. Congrats, I did the same 6 years ago.
I'm surprised this channel hasn't blown up more. Thanks for the content
I been thinking the exact same thing
It will, you just found it early 👌
It's about to snowball
Because most people in the real world rightly take sites like this as just one person's glorified storytelling & tall tales.....
Not even military and I love this channel.
Hilarious story about getting turned down by the Marines because of an ASVAB score lol.
You have my respect for even admitting that on here man.
Semper Fi 😂
This guy is amazing at telling his story. I was all in the whole time
What a story. I've been sober in AA for 2 years and 9 months. Love when I hear other vets are in the program. Wish there was more of us.
Thank you for your service veterans 🇺🇲🙏🏻💪🏻
I'm going on 5 years myself next month in November. The particular group I go to is all combat veterans. It really helps out with so much since nearly all of our drug and alcohol addictions are closely intertwined with our experiences in combat.
❤ from Australia Bro. If you are ever out this way, reach out.
Great guy. He’s who we want in the military
RIP Edward Declan I graduated from the same high school a few years before he did. Really hits home hearing about this almost 20 years after. Hector is good to go!!! Great interview
Thanks for your Service Hector. One hell of a story!Congrats on your 12 years of Sobriety!
Thank u for your service to get me the freedoms I have today soldier..god bless u and your family
"Hit the hill 1st platoon!!" One of my best memories from B 2/54 in '99. God Bless you my brother.
Thank you, Hector. I can’t believe it’s almost 20 years since my brother, Edgar Daclan, has departed. Time flies. I still miss him dearly. 😢
God bless you and your family Hector. Getting sober is a real life changer.
This is a good man, with a great message.
He tells the story so well, thank you for your service and leaning into discomfort by sharing your story.
Hector TPG/LT much respect from Puerto Rico, 🇵🇷💯🎤🔥🔥🔥👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.

Hector Bravo Sent me here
Awesome video keep the faith Hector I've been sober since 2004 my prayers are with you and your family. God bless you all.
🙏
As an Australian, living in Australia & also serving for 22 years. 🙏 Thank You. I know these guys seen and went through the worst of the worst. Most left the Army, Marines after they got home because of the push.
I’ve seen this guy interviewed by a bunch of channels and they’re always really good, but this one might’ve been the best
You earned your spot at home, Hector. Hell, anyone growing up near el centro probably should get a break lol. Semper Fi
Would’ve been a great Marine…those recruiters were definitely talkin across the hall and hooking each other up
Thank you for your service, Hector. You have such a big heart. I'm glad you have a family. You deserve one. So much to give them!
The warden made a good call not firing you, I wonder if he saw your potential and imagined you would make LT. I’m a vet with past substance issues myself and you have my complete respect cause I’m not quite there yet.
Good luck brother. I am with you. For G-Ds sake, take it easy until you decide that it’s the right time for you. When you get to the point that you feel you need to be at to get well and turn your life around. Get well brother.
Thanks guys
Damn we got back in May of 2004....An Nasairya and Mosul,Iraq....
I in processed with him and deployed with him. We were attatched in Iraq. B. Co. 1-77 AR. TANKERS. OIF 2 and 4. Attatched to 1-18 and 1-26. 1st INF Division
I was at Uvanni with you in Samarra. B co. 1-77 Death dealers 2 platoon tankers.
What’s up brother! Man, 2004 was the wild wild west
44:50 you can see the memories coming through him and how much they hurt. Great video
Fighting an illegal war and killing people who did nothing to deserve it! Who care about his "hurt". Thugs and killers!
Hector seems like a straight forward and solid dude!
Man what a story thank you for paving the way for us currently serving !!
I feel bad for this brother. Especially when they lost the medic. That was very unfortunate. But he dealt with it like a man. You did a good job and kept trucking to dispose of the bad guys.
😂😂
Damn Hector this shit was fire asf even brought a tear to my eyes
Thank you Philip!
He's absolutely correct. I worked in the prison system and it's interesting how a person can get so corrupt in the CDCR.
I am grateful for your service Hector. It warms my heart that you conquered your demons and now you are doing well. You deserve it! I’m going to subscribe to your channel.
Hector Bravo, what a great name. Thank you Hector for your service and for sharing your remarkable story. Take care and be good to yourself. SEMPER FIDELIS.
He has a UA-cam channel : That Prison Guard. He's a solid dude, even as a C.O some convicts who had rank respect the dude.
I’m halfway through and I need a break. This is riveting. I don’t think this guy is afraid of anything although he has to be. Later: he had a lot of good things to say. So honest and that was really impressive.
Hector loves danger. Hector also has had the most unfortunate locations to be at from boot camp to deployment😅. Timing is also important and vital. Regarding timing he was fairly lucky and I like how he prayed to not have to go out on a mission and surely he was spared: until the next night 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲💪🏻☮️✝️
I saw this gentleman on a different podcast, about his experience in corrections, he briefly went into his experience in the Military.
It's really great to see a breakdown on his service experience
Hector I salute you for your service and for sharing your story with us. You are an honorable soldier and a man. I hope one day I could meet you in person so I can shake your hand. I have the utmost respect for you for being you. Your character and integrity and who are speaks to what a true human being you are. With that prayers goes out to your sir.
Channel is going to explode so soon. I’ve been here from the beginning !!
Great Interview. He was awesome. 🫡
Best interviews on the net 👍
Hector, I'm deeply grateful for you and to you ❤️
This was one of the most touching stories I’ve ever heard in my life, what our men and women go through for their country is legendary
In December of 76 I went from Ft Ord Ca to USAER and deployed to Fulda Germany. 30 days in the field sleeping on the ground in pup tents! I feel ya bro!
💪🔥🇺🇲 my man Hector is a good man
I love this channel so much - such great stories, thanks for putting this content out here. You should have 10 million subscribers.
Hector bravo is the man . My dude is def a conservative ..the shirt says it all 👍 fellow CO …and we were in the army the exact same years .. respect brother
That is as real as it gets! I was in Aco 1/506th in Ramadi Nov 05 - 06.
That prison guard 👏👏👏hell yeah my boy Hector !!!!!
The Basic Training he explained is the Basic I remember from 1996. BDU era Basic 💪
I’m currently reading The Body Keeps The Score trying to understand how/why we are the way we are and “somehow” I stumble across this channel!! It has been so interesting and informative to say the least! These men and women are nothing short of SUPERHEROES!! I love you all and I appreciate your honesty and you our commitment to serve and protect us. I am forever thankful and grateful for all you have done. 🌻💙
Appreciate you watching and for your support. I am going to look into that book- thanks for sharing that with us.
This has become one of my favorite channels. Keep up the good work and thanks for the excellent content.
I hope you find the peace and tranquility in your life that you desire man. PTSD and substance abuse takes a lot from the people that it inflicts. Knowing when to ask for help is the biggest step, and you did it. Thanks for letting us hear your story bro.
I love this person!!!!
Great interview, gorgeous great style Urban Valor... I loved seeing Hector in this light, when he dives deep into grace, the human experiences that we all want aspirational encouragement and affirm our nature to thrive🙏 ❤🔥
You are the true definition of a man bro! God bless you and your family and thank God for hearing your family’s and parents prayers … I’m definitely subscribing to your channel!!
I appreciate that
That's crazy I was in C co 1/77 armor out of Ft Polk LA 5th ID. Can't believe that 113 didn't have an M2 50 on the TC hatch
I watch hiurs and hours of this content and this was one of the best bro
Bro can articulate himself and is real and raw
This dudes unit replaced mine at Paliwada. Crazy shit
You were 4ID! Yea, you guys looked all salty. Some guys were wearing tattered BDU’s I was like “Hell yea!” 😂
@@thatprisonguard I was with 14th eng. We were attached to 1-8inf doing route clearance and TCP's out of Paliwada. Used to have the DVD and hodgie burger shack right outside the gate. One of the crazier small bases my platoon was at. Lmao
@@thatprisonguard from Feb to March 04 we were doing right seat drive to train up our route clearance replacement. Yall got hit with an IED like a week after we left to prepare for demob on Anaconda.
@@blizeb2002Bro, we got hit by IED’s that whole entire deployment March 04 to Feb 05.
@@thatprisonguard it sounds like yall went through some crazy shit after watching this interview. Sorry for the loss of your guys and thank you for your service. Also thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Thanks for your service bro. So sorry for your lost brothers. I dont think people understand what you guys went through.
Im glad you made it i can tell youre a solid dude and tell it like it is. Really appreciate you. I used substances to get by when i had lost my way or couldn't ease my pain and spent a lot of time living on the streets and in tweaker pads etc. Homeless, jail, all of it. I didnt care.
Its good for you to talk about this shit because people dont know what it is and what a human being will do to end their pain.
Thank you brother
As real as it gets brother 💪🏾
I wish more great soldiers like this man here stayed in for a career. It would really have helped him deal with all the issue that pop up when a troop like this come out of service young and lonely in our hyper individualized society.
Guys like this should be generals. Started from the bottom. Fought hard and survived combat. I doubt there are many guys left that have his level of experience.
@@Widemouth1832 people are leaving like a flood! Especially from the combat arms, the most important MOSs! The Army has had horrific Woke policies inflicted upon it. Instructors at Ranger School have been forcibly ordered to pass Women that are unqualified (obviously), same thing with Special Forces Selection, instructors Forces by the commanding general who was forced by the senate to allow 2 women to pass x. And now the cliff hanger, there is a female platoon leader in Ranger Battalion! LOL. I ask you, if u were a young Ranger and you made it to battalion and realized to had a platoon leader who herself was not qualified for the position of regular soldier let alone officer. How would you feel? Would u stay? Would u recommend other anti join after your experience? Same thing with infantry, combat engineers, cavalry…it is a calamity.
The army was short 10,000 recruits 2 years ago, and 15,000 last year. That’s 25,000 empty slots right now. You think next year is getting better? Not a chance in hell.
@@WorshipinIdolsI heard that they’re planning to recruit Retirees because they are so short.
My grandparent used to live on H St. in Brawley.
I was gonna ask you guys to future this guy in this channel lol. I’m a fan of his channel and he came out on fresh out. Thanks guys.
He’s a solid dude. Thanks for watching 🤙🏼
I like this dude he's interesting and funny
Im glad I found this channel
2:56 real talk. Stay hard brother !!!
3:23 😂. Rahhhhh
That’s the homie hector !
Foxtrot 2-54.. 2004.... been smoked on that hill he's talking about... bear crawls up the hill with one leaf on each hand. Dumpster placed atop the hill. Spring cleaning
Master Blaster! The name just came to me. That’s what they called the hill
This channel is awesome, the interviews are awesome. Maybe the channel might take off more if you give your guests free gummybears.
🗣️Warriors 💪🏼
This man is reliving the death of Doc...?❤
From time to time, someone says something along the lines of "yeah we'll help him, but we're not gonna run red lights" and i just hope and pray that one day, this person's daughter or mother will be in the ambulance with something thats serious but can easily be overcome. And the driver has the same attitude. If you don't want to help, stay home. If you cant handle your shit and donyour job, dont meddle only to the point of causing the issue then back out before you do the good guy stuff.
If ye seek ye shall find 💪🏻🇺🇲🙏🏻✝️☮️
im stuck out here in hohenfels and the weather definitely sucks lol
Was at Ledward 1978-1981 1/10 FA then 3ID Band 1981-84 Wuerzberg FRG.
Tight story telling man!!! Fuck yeah!
Echo 2/54 may 06 to sept 1st then airborne Can confirm those range shitters sucked and were nasty
Had a lot of problems with alcoholism during my service as an 11B. The infantry frat culture can’t be beat for camaraderie but it definitely has some side effects.
That prison guard, salute lt!
