I was gutted for Ireland after the quarter final. I'm a Bok fan but I honestly believed Ireland would win the whole thing, especially after the pool game against SA. I have been an admirer of Sexton for many years. Truly one of the greatest fly halfs to ever play the game. He played an old school style in the modern game and he did it very well. My Dad died in 2021. He would have been so happy. He played rugby for St John's College in 1959 and their record was only surpassed a few years ago. He loved the Springboks, especially Habana.
Incredible game, rugby is a of dominance but what makes this game unique is that you must play to your strengths not necessarily attack but anything which the team of players are good at. In the case of South Africa, they are great at defense and forcing their opponents to make errors. NZ had their chances and missed it. Well done South Africa.

Man, it's good to watch these final minutes again. Nail biting stuff! Power House Springboks, brutal force, keeping calm, and then jubilation!! BOKKE! 🇿🇦🏉🥇 🏆..🏆..🏆..🏆
I made 6 predictions before the final: 1. Neither team would score more than 20 points 2. Winning margin would be less than 3 points 3. The team ahead by halftime would win 4. Springboks would lead by halftime 5 .Springboks would win 6. Springboks would win by 1 point All my predictions came true (I should have placed a bet, but I didn't) Thank you, Springboks!!!
@@mrgotitfordalow Why the doubt??? It was really easy to predict: 1. Scores tend to be lower in finals than in preceding matches (fact) 2. NO team trailing at halftime in a final match has ever won the world cup (historical fact) 3. Score margins tend to be small in finals (fact) 4. Springboks had a better RWC track record than NZ since 1995 (when they first played in the WC), having won 3/8, while NZ only won 2/8 since 1995 5. Springboks won their preceding 2 matches by 1 point I just followed history, statistics & clues ... Easy!!! Get my point???
Rugby World Cup matches of teams versus the Top 6 ranked teams played - Scotland played 2, won 0 against the Top 6 - England played 1, won 0 against the Top 6 (Reached Semi-Final ! ) - France played 2 won 1 against the Top 6 (Reached 1/4 Final) - All Blacks played 3, won 1 against the Top 6 - Ireland played 3 won 2 against the Top 6 (Reached 1/4 Final) - Springboks played 5, won 4 against the Top 6 The above showcase how difficult the road was for the Springboks.

I can watch this over and over and it still gets me in the gut… One of the greatest one moments in sporting history. The springboks win a 4th World Cup from a very tough draw. Excruciatingly close 1 point wins in the quarterfinals and seminal and then making history.. cometh the moment cometh the team!! 🌈❤🇿🇦
Say what you want but the last 2019 World Cup was a lot easier for South Africa, they dominated every game after the the first game they lost against New Zealand, even the final against England they ran them down like grass. But this World Cup was a heck of lot tougher South Africa had to work hard for every single game, the loss against Ireland made me doubt if they would even clinch this World Cup, but they did the last three games was the toughest games South Africa ever had to face all three victories by one single point, that’s all it take’s really to be the best rugby team in the world. Congratulations South Africa We the Bokke now truly stand alone.
A year on and rewatching this, you cannot underestimate Faf de Klerk’s world class decision making. Charge down in their 22m, the ankle tap that disrupted their counter attack and avoiding the put in to the scrum before the reset. Small margins and high level rugby IQ. Bravo sir

The only time in South Africa that we experienced Joy and happiness was 1994, from there onwards just heartache and Sorrows and Frustration until Now 30years Later the Whole Country was united and Happy, the Springboks have brought Happiness to all, maybe the Whole Springboks must occupy the Parliament and Rule this country and show all this politicians how things shud be run without Corruption and Tenders, we need this unity but only Rugby and cricket can deliver us, we wait for another world Cup to be Happy. Absolute scenes!!!! Well done Bokke. making us so proud!!!
Congratulations from Russia!!! Springboks are the best !
Yes I watching staring of rugby 🏉 world Cup from india country 🇮🇳 Tamil Nadu, yes, rugby 🏉🏉 is wonderful sport, congratulations south africa for winning trophy 🏆 super.
🤝
Did anyone see the big hit from Piter steph dutoit on Bauden barret
Love it ❤️
Well deserved on Sputh Africa for winning the cup for the forth time. NZ hardluck, we all know you'll bounce back after this. Congrats to both sides for putting up a spectacular show and performance 👏🏻🙌🏻
South Africa will have to rebuild and all blacks will have a charismatic new coach surely destined to win a World Cup
@@darrenleejones3516 Pure speculation!😮
0:43 I honestly thought Pieter-Steph wasn't getting up from that hit! The man is a machine!
28 tackles is CRAZY dude. You could see how he was physically drained after the 80 minutes. It was worthit tho❤🇿🇦🛐
Great game Bokke. 50% success rate at World Cups! Played 8 won 4! This record speaks for itself. 😂❤
Émouvant !!! Bravo l'Afrique !!!
❤🎉🎉❤🎉🎉❤🎉🎉❤
Well done Bokke! 🎉 Well done NZ, mad respect for them every time. South Africans always respect NZ rugby. The Northerners media wanted to count us all out. But the 2 best teams in the world were in the final. Now Bokke are the best...till next time, NZ✌
Every now and again, I come and watch this video. Every time I feel some anxiety.
Yes, I watch a replay and still feel unsettled. Wow, what a match. Well done Bokke.
My Dad died in 2021. He would have been so happy. He played rugby for St John's College in 1959 and their record was only surpassed a few years ago. He loved the Springboks, especially Habana.
Sorry for your loss
Incredible game, rugby is a of dominance but what makes this game unique is that you must play to your strengths not necessarily attack but anything which the team of players are good at.
In the case of South Africa, they are great at defense and forcing their opponents to make errors. NZ had their chances and missed it.
Well done South Africa.
This was the most nerve wrecking world cup for bok supporters
The suspense and the tight knot in my stomach was too much - more than I can handle - I thank God my heart did not stop in those last minutes of this epic match.... Truly Love the Boks ❤
Peter Steph Du Toit my word goose bumps❤❤ its like im watching this final for the first time 🎉🎉🎉❤ 🔥 🔥 🔥
Love the past player Bryan Habana n Brian O'Driscoll reaction cut out❤
I still get goosebumps when watching this ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Los mejores son campeones 👏🏽
Faf was amazing, the tactles he put in were unbelievable, he and Siya should be joint winners of the best players in the tournament
What about Pieter-Steph du Toit?... That man was on fire. His tackles were on point. He really saved us on many occasions. He should be the player of this entire tournament. ❤🇿🇦
PSDT by the way ; he gave self 100% plus plus .... let say the BOKS super ...
This is a tale of Legends, against all odds going into this world cup, the toughest road to the final. Casually reminding us of their brilliance. They are our Beloved and represent the best of us. ❤️🇿🇦
That was intense even now, wow... the All Blacks are Awesome , but the springboks are the true champions. I felt like this 80 min was very short..😂
When Siya Kolisi raised his hands and said "Thank you Jesus" twice, i couldn't control the tears from running down my face. Thank you BOKKES for making us proud as a country. God bless you guys.👏👏
I've watched this moment a million times and today is the first time I've noticed that he actually thanks Jesus 😅
I thought he was thanking the TMO
It always feels like yesterday..
Die bokke you guys are incredible we are proud to have players like you in SA really you made us proud you are the nation's pride may the good Lord bless you in every way
Tears will Always be in my Eyes..This Moment never to Forget..See Bryan Habana in Prayer..Thanks To All South Africans..Springboks Coaches and Next Generation Kids..❤❤❤We Go Green And GOLD❤❤❤
My heart my heart..the BEST of the best..love our Bokke..watch and rewatch again..its BEAUTIFUL
Kudos to Pollard and PSDT but please also acknowledge Faf de Klerk's heroics in the last five minutes that we've just watched. He certainly qualifies for the nickname 'pitbull'.
So proud of you guys Bokke.
3 x 1 point wins.
I love them -
when they’re wins.
They were.
The rest is history -
even if it’s just a game.
(it’s not).
I know what happens but watching this still stresses me out🥶 Our Bokke!!! So much love and respect for the nighty ABs. May the rivalry between the two greatest rugby teams in the world live on for many more generations.
Man, it's good to watch these final minutes again. Nail biting stuff! Power House Springboks, brutal force, keeping calm, and then jubilation!! BOKKE!
🇿🇦🏉🥇 🏆..🏆..🏆..🏆
Me watching hunger this in July and still having goosebumps. 🇿🇦
It's funny how Cheslin's Kolbe couldn't watch the last 10 minutes or so. I was wondering more of what was his reaction when the Sprinboks won.
He was praying, shirt kept him focused.
@@RianL04 Yup, tough for him because he knew the only way he could prevent an almost certain try was to try and cheat. So he was repenting big time.
@@kevinrtres lol, you guys got a yellow and a red in a single game, never mind the other card’s during the RWC 🤣
@kevinrtres You can't keep a Good man down.
@@RianL04 Me se is springboks supporter...!
209 tackles by the Bokke Vs 93 by the ABs in a World Cup final!!
Offence wins you games but Defence sure does win you titles, take a bow!!
I made 6 predictions before the final:
1. Neither team would score more than 20 points
2. Winning margin would be less than 3 points
3. The team ahead by halftime would win
4. Springboks would lead by halftime
5 .Springboks would win
6. Springboks would win by 1 point
All my predictions came true (I should have placed a bet, but I didn't)
Thank you, Springboks!!!
Doubt
@@mrgotitfordalow Why the doubt??? It was really easy to predict:
1. Scores tend to be lower in finals than in preceding matches (fact)
2. NO team trailing at halftime in a final match has ever won the world cup (historical fact)
3. Score margins tend to be small in finals (fact)
4. Springboks had a better RWC track record than NZ since 1995 (when they first played in the WC), having won 3/8, while NZ only won 2/8 since 1995
5. Springboks won their preceding 2 matches by 1 point
I just followed history, statistics & clues ... Easy!!!
Get my point???
Any idea who the lead commentator was
Andre Pollard makes penalty kicks seems so easy but actually it is not
HE IS THE GOAT
Handré*
@@hellospacemanthanks😅
Handre Pollard has ice in his veins. He hardly uses even half the "kick clock time" to slot those boomers !
A talented bunch of brutes, well done boks
Peter Steph Du Toit- Absolute Animal. A worthy heir of Schalk Burger.
All i can say is two great teams we will never forget this wc sa was tired thou they played hard games in this wc
Agree...and they won the final because they were tempered by their hard route to the final. So they were more prepared for a tight match than nz were
Rugby World Cup matches of teams versus the Top 6 ranked teams played
- Scotland played 2, won 0 against the Top 6
- England played 1, won 0 against the Top 6 (Reached Semi-Final ! )
- France played 2 won 1 against the Top 6 (Reached 1/4 Final)
- All Blacks played 3, won 1 against the Top 6
- Ireland played 3 won 2 against the Top 6 (Reached 1/4 Final)
- Springboks played 5, won 4 against the Top 6
The above showcase how difficult the road was for the Springboks.
What a victory for the Boks and this small country under siege by their ruling regime.
❤
Oh Gosh! This is so stressful even now!
Just as intesnse watching this again even though i knew what was going to happen.
In 2024 watching this 😭my heart is till beating fast😂😂
We still have PTSD from this one 😂😂😂😂😂what a game!!!!
Ver ese partido en vivo es inolvidable...que nivel de rugby x Dios!, South África,Nueva Zelanda, Irlanda,Francia todo en la sima de la excelencia
Watching this a year later, and even tho I know we won, WHAT a nail-biting last 10 minutes - STILL - FANTASTIC RUGBY!! As always, the greatest of respect for the All Blacks!! Anytime the Springboks vs All Blacks you KNOW you are in for nail-biting, TOP CLASS rugby ❣
I can watch this over and over and it still gets me in the gut…
One of the greatest one moments in sporting history. The springboks win a 4th World Cup from a very tough draw. Excruciatingly close 1 point wins in the quarterfinals and seminal and then making history..
cometh the moment cometh the team!! 🌈❤🇿🇦
I and other family members we thank your effort to show us we dint get a chance to watch it but wearing the untering shirt of honor ❤thanks alot
. Beautiful .
That's how we do it boys. For Africa! For world! I am still finding my scarted nerves a week later❤❤❤ 🇰🇪
Omw poor Brain Haban 😂on the verg of passing out 😂😂
Kolbe should have been on a ventilator for the last 5
Still get chills literal chills 😪😫
The best part of this game was when all the backs on both teams didn't hear the whistle and carried on playing for 30 seconds 😂😂
It was the adrenaline. 😂😂😂
Congratulations South Africa We the Bokke now truly stand alone.
i prefered the 2019 final though with the mapimpi and kolbe tries
This is what I call a true American football, no helmet all RAW skills
American football is for sissys, this is rugby. Far more tactical and far more superior.
Fat De Klerk, what a player. So cool and collected. The guy is got class. Period.
A year on and rewatching this, you cannot underestimate Faf de Klerk’s world class decision making. Charge down in their 22m, the ankle tap that disrupted their counter attack and avoiding the put in to the scrum before the reset. Small margins and high level rugby IQ. Bravo sir
The best moment ...last 7 seconds and the whistle blowing with scenes to follow. Still brings me to tears.
I am so glad and inspired by the Bokke! Well done, we are so proud! I am sorry I couldnt watch the actual game as I dont have DSTV! A lot of us South Aficans cant afford it! They have the monopoly of this! Sad! Well done though Bokke!!
It was available on SABC. You may be complaining just to complain
Welldone Boks.
I like your fantasy, but it's just that.
Tomorrow they'll carry on stealing, it's a sickness, they can't help themselves.
Only way is to vote them completely out of power.
Will the ANC voters have the guts to vote their corrupt leaders out of power, maybe if we win the RWC again in 2027.
Faf De Klerk is legend
Eventhough I know the outcome of this game, I'm still panicking while rewatching it
