And here we are, everyone! One last remix to top off 2023, and it's a doozy. I really can't stay away from Ninmark's handiwork, can I? Mega Man X Corrupted is a sort of mythological beast of a fan game project whose existence was one of the primary ways I started listening to Ninmark to begin with. ESPECIALLY the Strike themes! I can firmly say that I feel advancement in my music skills from the start of the year to now, with this as proof.
The song is heavily the Strike Battle theme, but I also used another Ninmark track as inspiration for part of the latter half, as sort of the "halftime" before the synth solo. VSTs used this time include (there are a *lot*):
-Shreddage Hydra
-Shreddage Telos
-Super Audio Cart (and SNESverb)
-Korg M1 Legacy
-Memorymode
-TyrellN6
-ISW Mega Brass
-Arturia Augmented Grand Piano
On that note, it's time for a break until 2024. Happy Holidays, everyone!
Somehow this feels like "what if Strike was in a Final Fantasy RPG" theme
I feel like this could fit an exciting turn based battle for sure! Or even the action RPG direction of the newer FF ones, either way it carries that "sinister bad guy rival" vibes I'd want in a reoccurring antagonist battle.
He does laugh at the start of his fight and has is clearly unhinged so I feel there’s a bit of Kefka in Strike.
I’ve heard many Strike Battle remixes, but I can safely say this is the best one I’ve heard!
Excellent job!
Aww, thanks! I've always loved this song, so I couldn't resist giving it a try. I felt like my fondness of guitar and synth were a good fit!
Admittedly I tend to stay away from well covered songs (there's so many good remixes of these already!), but I'm so glad my take on it is just as enjoyable. I really appreciate the kind words!
when some random green guy steals a superweapon:
... Strike is green biker dude?
@@schizophrenic_rambler idk.
I had a smile on my face the whole time I was jamming to this one, this is easily your best one yet!
Nice work 👍
Can't wait to play this game in 21XX with the real megamanX
It's been 20XX for a long time and mega man still ain't even real
Zamn, niice remix yo!
Killer.
Can't wait to watch my grandkids fight this guy once X Corrupted comes out. Good remix, by the way!
This comment got me good, I love and hate it's so true lol
Even if I am old and frail, I will do my best to play this game on release and revel in both the gameplay quality, and Ninmark's absolute banger work.
Excellent remix, can't wait to play in the year 2177 when my consciousness is uploaded to an an android and the game finally comes out.
Thank you! I'm very happy people have been enjoying my remix, I spent a lot of time tinkering with it!
In 2177, will I be simply a Reploid, or will I have turned Maverick by the time of Corrupted's release? The world may never know.
@@korshalvalent the world may know on the other hand because the game will eventually come out
right???
*sweats nervously*
JKB Games, you can't let us down now!
This is cool and i love it but that "strike stage" track isnt really strike stage
Oh, is it not? When I found it, the video description was in another language, but the title was in English and it seemed to credit Ninmark. I'd be happy to update my description with more accurate info.
@@korshalvalent it isn't, in fact strike stage wasn't really a thing back when that was uploaded, it just became a thing recently, but that's a different topic.
is just reuploaders finding twitch content and putting weird titles on them and confusing everyone by doing so.
Interesting, I appreciate you filling me in! Shows I should always be careful what I read on the Net, even fan game music, haha.
Just to make sure I'm correctly crediting who should be credited, is the song still Ninmark's work from X Corrupted? If it's not actually a Strike Stage theme, but still from the game overall, then I feel a bit better about that one. If it was someone else who worked on it, I definitely want to credit them for the riff inspiration!
@@korshalvalentit is made by dominic, is just not for strike's stage
Gotcha! I've changed the description just to credit it as a Ninmark track for now, in that case. Thanks for the heads up!
