This game actually looks pretty good.
David Firth A lot of people things this game is crap because of it's difficulty but actually they thing this game sucks because it's not from a famous publisher. Game is not harder than Ghosts'n Goblins or any one of TMNT ganes. Infact it might be a bit easier.

It actually wouldn't have even started because it starts at 12 noon, but ends in the morning at 12 midnight on that same day of April 11th 1992.. No one was gonna win it

It’s so rare to see a UA-cam series just get progressively better as time goes on, where the formula is changed time and again, new things are added, but it still has the heart and soul of what it was at the beginning. In fact, AVGN might be the only series where this is the case. And that’s truly praise worthy.

Tim Follin (the Silver Surfer composer) is a legend. If you haven't, check out some of his work if you have the time. I recommend the Solstice theme, it's amazing.

Sure it's a character, but what made the early episodes better was that the character was informed by his actual feelings, even if it was exaggerated.
Now it's really transparent that he has to actively look for things to get angry about and it becomes more apparent that it's a character being acted, it removes suspension of disbelief and shatters the theater.
No one in the top 30 comments I've seen so far said anything about him needing to relax.

You can't get wrong with the Follin brothers, no matter which system their music is on.
That man is a genius.
The Treasure Master title theme however, is an 8-bit rendition of "Gotcha," by saxophonist Tom Scott. The same tune was also used as an intro theme for "Starsky and Hutch."

The graphics and overall gameplay looks pretty advanced for NES: I mean just look at that title animation and the main theme. The gameplay looked fine aswell. A bit cryptic, but the Point'n click games at the time were even more cryptic. Looks fine. Probably even one of the better ones on the NES.

Yes, I met the guy. He lived in Charlotte, NC for a number of years. He came into my game store I worked in in the late 90s. He showed me a polaroid of him with the scholarship check as I didn't believe him. Name was Martin but I have forgotten his last name. He did steal my copy of Dragon Force for the Sega Saturn as well. But yes, someone did actually win the contest.
