Peppermint neem oil. Colorado with 80 plants. Mist your soil and plant with this to keep the bugs away. Had spider mites in fall; spray the focal plant area where you see them: The plants, soil, pots... And wash/soak the hell out of them with water more then you think you should. If you have the right soil drainage, this won't be a problem. And as this man says: 'Be persistent.' All those little buggers will be no tribble at all.
Thank you for this info! I had good luck getting rid of fungus gnats by watering my plants with mosquito dunk tea (makes eggs sterile). Then I used water with apple cider vinegar, water & a drop of dish soap in a small cup near the plant to draw in the flying gnats.
@@HouseplantHelp Surprisingly it is necessary to do a few rounds of this dunk tea. Prior I was using peroxide & even alcohol. I knew the alcohol was not my highest choice, but I thought the peroxide was contributing to the soil,. A friend who grows plants for a living thought it was destroying the nutrients in the soil.😥
I was just gonna comment that he forgot the flying satan themselves that is thrips. Tho I've heard that pyretine and maybe systemics are supposed to work on them too. Even neem oil works.. kind off but you have to be frigging treating all your plants many times in a week and the worst part is.. that thrips like to spread so treat even the plants that aren't even close by.
I started bottom watering helped by 75% at least.
