  • Amir Hossein Kabiri, a 33 year old perfume seller, was shot dead on November 16th, 2019 was shot dead on his way to pick up his nephew from school. His only crime was being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Kabiri is one of many who were killed or severely injured due to brutality from the authorities in November 2019.On November 15th, 2019, following a sudden spike in fuel prices, nationwide protests broke out across Iran. While the protests were largely peaceful, in certain cities some banks, government buildings and petrol stations were set on fire allegedly by the protestors. On the evening of the 16th, the Islamic Republic implemented a near-total shutdown of the internet, lasting five days, while launching a brutal crackdown on the protestors. This crackdown took the form of shootings, violence and mass arrests.
    Justice for Iran has thus far, documented incidents of the use of unlawful lethal force in 39 cities across 15 provinces, over the course of just five days, resulting in hundreds of deaths and thousands of injuries.
