Surrounded by rich towns where the cheapest houses are $750,000. But the fairytale bullshit you are spouting is just that. Let me tell you about the real world. I grew up being in the top of my class in great catholic schools. I’m constantly being dumbfounded by how poorly educated people I run into on a daily basis are. My whole life I did the right thing, including moving in with my grandfather to keep him out of a nursing home. For years until the day he died. And currently doing the same thing for my grandmother. And what did that get me? I have now exhausted my savings, have a few months before I have to find a new place to live due to my uncle putting her in a home and selling her house. I have sciatica for the rest of my life from shoveling snow last winter. I have several family members who’s living room is bigger than the 1st floor of most peoples houses, and it wouldn’t even occur to them to offer to help. A mere $10,000 would be enough to completely change my life by providing me with 1 year of rent for a small apartment so I could get my feet underneath myself. But even though I know several people with millions in the bank they won’t even help me find a job. And considering my doctor advised me not to lift even 10 pounds and every job I apply for says it’s a requirement to be able to lift 50 pounds several times an hour I don’t see how I’ll be able to remain indoors for more than a few months. I’m so glad you get so much money for doing practically nothing but for the rest of us we struggle every day just to not blow our brains out thinking about what we are going to have to do for the rest of our lives.*
