I was all for Demaris bringing a different perspective, but this is NEW RORY AND MAL!!! These past few episodes have been hard to listen to when they guys are constantly being cut off from finishing their thoughts and she counters with Twitter logic. I was looking forward to what the guys thought about “slapgate” but she ruined it for me 🤷🏻♀️
I got to start look at Demaris with a side eye going forward. As a older married woman with grown kids, she definitely needs to get more life experience under her belt.
She's approaching this with "Black women are offended" energy when he wasn't trying to offend Black women. Will just got emotional and the rage pinned up and he exploded on Chris. Jada also publicly embarrassed him by talking about how his sex game sucks so it was all built up. Very unnecessary but he felt that he had to "be a man" in her honor smh
That just shows her inexperience to me like bro if my feelings ACTUALLY mattered you know how different the world would be for me and my people fuck outta here 😂 these kids need parents till they 30 at least fam
Just like how you relate to how Will may have felt as a man when Jada was talking about Will that you deem was unfavorable in the public all the time. BW related to how Jada may have felt about someone making a joke or unnecessary critique about her hair/appearance and people expecting you not to be offended..
I mean to be frank. We should've learned from Chadwick Boseman to slow down on joking about people's looks. We never know if she was diagnosed with cancer and was keeping it hush hush, we just don't know. Plus people can only laugh off so much, your words have consequences. Should they be physical? Absolutely not. But you gotta be open to the possibility when you playing in people's faces
Demaris im dissapointed on your breakdown. like attacking her disease? Alopecia? Thats the medical term for balding Yet we clown lebron and others for balding. MAL won this debate.
Lol I’ve known a couple girls with alopecia and I GUARANTEE anyone else in Jada’s position would’ve just chucked and brushed it off. Because they don’t have immense egos that can’t handle a little joke. Shit was mad mild too. Not like he said she was ugly or something we know that’s not true …
This is an underrated comment. The amount of people using the condition in the same sentence as cancer is disgusting! Her bald head should have taken a joke. And I say that as someone who has suffered from alopecia!
Baby D is wrong on this issue, the Oscars is meant to be an award show for the actors, but also a roast of the actors to all the audience watching at home. These guys are millionaires, being the butt of a joke for the audience's entertainment is how award ceremonies operate. Will Smith's act of bravado, to me, is nothing short of a display of a character with deeper internal conflicts. And justifying violence to defend your "family's honour" is nothing short of deflecting responsibility and accountability for your actions.
Demarius turning into the girl who i wouldnt invite anywhere....she gets offended by EVERYTHING and blames her sign etc for it. Like Will smith wrong 100 times over.
“Mal, you love me right? You gon let someone go and disrespect me” 😂😂 bro, these women want y’all to risk y’all lives for a joke so they can go on Twitter 😂😂 be smart fellas
They truly can’t reconcile between their traditionalist “beliefs” and “Progressive” ways. The irony of viewing a man as a sworn protector while presenting yourself as independent feminist is hilarious 😂
Absolutely she seemed hella ratchet and trying to play the black women protection card when two black men were involved in a physical altercation is goofy as hell. I watched a video off comedy hype on this and a older man said it right “if your woman isn’t trying to stop you from fighting someone that is no physical threat she’s trash”. A good women doesn’t let her man go on that stage. Black men don’t need to fight over no trash ass joke
It’s weird hearing women actually thinking this was a “protect black women” moment. Nah, this was a “mental health matters” moment. Hoping that Will gets help and that Chris does too, so embarrassing.
Will was wrong. Period. He laughed at the joke until he seen Jada wasn’t laughing. Rock crossed a line as well. It shouldn’t be this hard for people to understand. Demaris sounds like a child on this topic.
We have a lot of men dead and in jail because of women like Demaris. Defending your wife is one thing, however there are ways to handle situations before it should even escalate to that. He looked like a complete fool in front of the entire globe. The Oscar’s heard the complaints and adjusted accordingly. We don’t even know that because he took away from the entire show. Of course you have a ton of black women hyping the dumb shit-as usual. Mal is 100% correct, this was absolutely ridiculous.
If you think Will was right to go up there and slap Chris, then I guess you'd justify Trans people walking up to Dave chappelle on stage and slapping him for his JOKES. But we all said at the time it's just JOKES, this is no different IMO
Will Smith is an icon, with years of experience in the business, he knows better, he made a mistake and Chris Rock showed he is next level professional. People that are emotional end up losing everything over nothing. 💯% with Mal on this, putting your hands on a comedian on stage over jokes? I dare anyone else to do that and see how that ends.
Mal definitely on point On another note Yo on everything, Will use the same body language and speed force. People use throwing down the Big Joker during a drunk ♠️ game.

Block mentality will get us no fucking where. Jada wrong for reacting that way as well. Hold it Sis. I've held my shit time and time again in an effort to keep my man at said time out of any hot water because he'd be reactive to my energy. Keep your hands to your damn self. i agree with Mal - it was cumulative. Will got tired of being the butt-end of jokes and of his marriage being memed (although he did open himself up to that) I think Will just laughed initially cos it took a minute to clock the reference to a 25 year old film. Have you never laughed out of politeness before clocking someone is being insulted? On top of that, as mentioned in this podcast, the crowd groaned at the joke and that's when Will got up. Cos that's when he clocked he was insulted
No.. Sorry.. Ppl keep saying that. A GI Jane joke is very clearly a baldy joke. I've laughed at awkward shit but you can see that I feel awkward.. Damaris and Rory fail to see this sets a precedent that it’s okay (and commendable) to use violence against comedians when you don’t like their jokes. That’s a dangerous stance to take when you have a platform where you speak in such an unfiltered fashion.
Been having to say this up and down twitter all day and it’s frustrating seeing people don’t see the real problem with what he did here. Everyone thinking with feelings.
Bruh comedians have BEEN attacked on stage , someone got attacked by a mic stand a couple years ago . And anyone who attack a comedian going to jail they not will smith

I had high hopes for a 3rd mic but Demaris is not it. I was hoping it was going to be Weezy, because they had some great chemistry. Most of the time when Demaris speaks it either sounds like someone who still has a high school mentality, or is speaking from emotion and no logic. Two similar examples stand out to me.Scottie Beam getting removed from state of the culture, because she brought some of the same vibes. Or when Joe tried to give Savon more mic time. You realize he’s good to crack a few jokes, but is nowhere near a constant contributor.
I wish this pod was just Rory and Mal talking. Rory’s take was immature and emotional. I still love you both. I agree 1000% with Mal. It was a joke. We need to show emotional intelligence and be strategic especially on national tv. I don’t care if the whites were there or not. That was a terrible decision Will made.

Heck I'm surprised Mal didn't just straight up check Demaris since I'm pretty sure he had to before & they just muted the audio when it happened. That whole Akademiks thing Rory initiated by talking crap over the years then proceeded to leave a note in Akademiks mailbox as well as threatened to dox Ak's address on Twitter after Rory officially became a millionaire & Akademiks ended it by exposing Rory's side chick which made Rory's fiancé leave him. I definitely agree with Mal, especially at Will and Chris’s current age, Chris may have needed to go with a different joke, but the MAX that should have been done by Will is briefly checking Chris on his joke, I don’t believe that joke warrants to have hands put on him. This was clearly a case of Will reaching his breaking point, the glass was full, Chris’s joke so happened to have been the one drop that finally made the cup spill over. It’s that simple….
So, if someone slap Demaris for some of these jokes on here she saying it’s justified? She blew passed the part where Will should’ve set boundaries and never did.
This. By her logic Rory would've been justified in slapping her, mal, and the guest that was on here laughing and joking about his failed engagement weeks ago.

She doesn’t come with logic sometimes
She also made a big deal about Rock talking about black women hair but then go on to agree with Mal that it wasn’t only about hair.
Demaris increased role gonna kill this pod for me.
Already did for me
She's approaching this with "Black women are offended" energy when he wasn't trying to offend Black women.
Will was wrong. Period. He laughed at the joke until he seen Jada wasn’t laughing. Rock crossed a line as well. It shouldn’t be this hard for people to understand. Demaris sounds like a child on this topic.
Not just on this topic….
We have a lot of men dead and in jail because of women like Demaris. Defending your wife is one thing, however there are ways to handle situations before it should even escalate to that. Of course you have a ton of black women hyping the dumb shit-as usual. Mal is 100% correct, this was absolutely ridiculous.

i agree with Mal - it was cumulative.
He thought the joke was humorous.. his wife didn't like it so he saved face... Which is cool..

I was also surprised by Rory's takes, but then I remembered he had a whole altercation with DJ Akademiks for speaking on his business with his wife and wanted to put hands on him cuz "actions have consequences" and Will sort of validated that for him lol
@@devanvieira9174 For the few minutes I could stand listening to I think Rory was 50% trolling, 30% trying to appease Demaris because he's scared of her & 20% actually agreed with what he's saying.
