Hi Taryn.. I just found your channel, and loved what you said about each of our homes.. everyone has a unique space, I live in a log cabin in the woods, 30 miles away from the nearest grocery store! So yes, we have to get very creative when it comes to cooking/ cleaning… love your cleaning and declutter tips also!.👍🤗❤️
I am a minimalist woman and live most of the points that you made. The only one I don't get down on myself about is not resetting the kitchen at night. I prefer to just do 1 major reset after breakfast but I'm lucky that I don't work outside the home and have the luxury to do that when my energy is at its best. It's not so bad in the summer when it's light out in the evening but I tap out after the clocks go back and it's dark even before dinnertime.
Today I'm sharing 15 smart habits of minimalist women that you can do today to keep your life simple! I'm not a minimalist but there are certain minimalist habits I've adopted that really make a big difference. Please subscribe to see more content like this, I'd love to see you around my channel 😊 www.youtube.com/@tarynmaria_?...
🚫 TV 🚫 📺 We did just that. Never been a fan of tv and time it comaumes . I reached my limit on 📺 and how unhealthy sitting for hours had become and unplugged tv and apple box. Wow. What a difference it made . Became way more productive than thought we would be .
Great tips. I do rough meal plans, but I batch cook ingredients and only a few "complete" meals because my kids (due to changing appointments, sickness, tastes) sometimes want something else rather than what's on the plan. Because I have cooked ingredients, I can change the meal up from Thai, Indian, Mexican, Italien etc with no issue. I also have a zero waste kitchen..better for environment and finances. In Europe we never wear outdoor shoes in our homes. A load of washing a day is not environmentally friendly. I do 1x white, darks, colours, and a cook wash 1x week with all my and my kids clothes together. Bedding every 2 weeks. Air dry, then if needed do short fresh-up, low heat in dryer and fold.. no need to iron then.. saves time, electricity etc I love Scandinavian, light woods and colours, but since having kids, I now have dark greens, blues and reds in my soft furnishings in the living room..a cream sofa would not be cream after a few months with kids!
What I wear just to grocery shop I immediately take off and re-hang in closet. It's just me and my husband so I get by doing 1 load laundry a day. He runs and works out and in summer mows 2 yards so I have more laundry then. Usually I have 1 day a week I don't need to do laundry. It works out well for us.
Leave ALL your shoes at the entrance your family uses regularly. You can swap them out according to each season. I think if you take them off and then put them in you bedroom closet, that defeats the whole purpose. The Japanese have been doing this for centuries.
We leave shoes by the front door too. But don't freak out if company leaves theirs on, as long as it's not raining or snowing. Then we make company take them off. Everyone we know are pretty good about it

Love you saying clean when needed!😅
If I get up early and do a brisk walk first thing, I’m usually more prepared the rest of the day.
Love that!
Thanks
You are so welcome!

Awesome! Thank you so much and love the idea about batch cooking ingredients!

Also do you work out a lot? What do you do?
Hi! I lift weights at home 3x week. I don't like cardio much but I will also do some walking :)

Thanks Rebecca!

Same! When we have company I don't make them take their shoes off either! @@JaneH3675
