    My mom showed me this yesterday - If you stans the bell pepper upright, and press in on the centre (stem and the surrounding area) you actually take out the core and the membrane without having to cut anything! I really like this way too though, I'll have to try it! :)

    I usually just bust out the top with my thumb and pull the core out, with the seeds along with it. You have such good lighting in your videos!

      But if you were to pop out the green bit with your thumb would've made it much easier and plus it wastes less pepper

    This works better for a female pepper, which you have there. The male peppers have three (or less) bumps, and this process works better from the top. Handy tip!

    I cut bell peppers by first cutting the top the cutting the inside where the seed is attached to then I just wash it to get rid of any leftover seeds, after that, I just turn over the top and cut the stem then I just chop it up for my guinea pigs

    love this tip! +TheDomesticGeek for the overnight oatmeals, are we eating them raw?

    • @thedomesticgeek1
      @thedomesticgeek1  10 років тому

      Selina Pratiknyo The overnight oatmeal basically 'cooks' overnight by soaking up all the yogurt and milk. You can heat them up if you like or just eat them cold, straight from the refrigerator :)

  • @furrypetzoo1286
    @furrypetzoo1286 9 років тому

    My method gets ALL of the bell pepper the only things that are leftover are the top of the bell pepper where the stem is and the seeds

    If you look more carefully at Grodon, he does not cut along the "ribs" of the pepper; those white linings. Because they are bitter to the taste.

    This is NOT the best way to cut a pepper. You slice the top and bottom off, set aside for a moment. Slice the pepper once and slide your knife in flat along the inside, then rotate the pepper until you slice the core and white-pith out in one piece with all the seeds attached. Then you have a pepper ‘sheet’ that you can slice up any way you want. Then pop the stem out of the top piece like a cork, then slice up remaining pepper :)
