What Elon did was shut off everything else, turned it all off, and focused his entire mind on 1 thing, Tesla, 17 hours a day, hammering it, putting in the time to get what was needed done, finished all at once, Then after 10 days etc. he goes back to that normal life, which for someone in his position is probably pretty balanced.
