We all want to have a perfect life, a happy life with no problems. But unfortunately it doesn't work like this. Life needs this ballance of good and bad things. Without sadness, loneliness, anger, hate we wouldn't value all the good things in our lives, we'd lose our meaning of life if everything worked out the way we want it. And the more bad things happen to us, the more we value what we have and what we get. The worst thing nowadays are the media, we tend to compare ourselves to the rest of the world, we can't get enough and seeing so many people having a much better life makes us more depressed than ever before. But we never think about all the people who would give everything away to have at least a life like us. The message is that life is shit for every single one of us, important is what you make out of it and how you react on the circumstances, for some of us life always feels like hell, the rest just knows how to hide it behind a smile.

I seen the top comment about writing life stories etc... but I came here to write this anyway. Not sure anyone will read but whatever... Been searching for this song for ages - but they were all took down :/ My life had been pretty terrible to be fair. Not quite as bad as those suffering right now in absolute poverty or those growing up in Syria right now etc etc. But to the average person who has a normal 2.4 life with caring parents and a normal background. Yeah I didn't have any of that. i was bullied throughout my entire life in school, always in fights, always outcast to everyone. Never really understood why... never really had anyone I could call a close friend... and sometimes I'd find myself with noone too talk to and speak about the ways I was feeling... I always had pressure from the whole family to excel and do well because they could sense I was intelligent. But I never knew how to channel it properly in the right direction. I tried my hand at start up companies, playing poker, going into college, university... Failing at them all and giving up when the going got tough. Instead of sticking through it. --- Today I am in university for the second time, final year, and through the experiences I've had I won't say things have gotten any easier... but I have matured, and learned to deal with the things life throws at you, and I can kinda see the bigger picture to how things can be in the future. Its hard work and still feels like a struggle everyday; but I just keep sticking at it, and every now and than I return to songs like this which helped me through those tough times. --- I'd have to say, above every other song I like and which has helped me - This has to be my favorite. It just speaks to me like no other song does. My advice to anyone out there who is struggling with life, is sometimes not to rely on other people to try and get you through it... because people may not always be there. Those who are doing it for plain attention should stop. But those people who vent on these kinds of songs might actually have no one to turn to. When you say they should just get a therapist, that costs money. And maybe they don't have enough money or can't afford it or something. Maybe their friends won't listen to them or their family. And they Refuse to listen and deal with it. Sometimes people can't continue to bottle up their feelings and need to let it out somewhere. I've tried talking about my problems with people and I always get the one asshole who gives the: "theres people that have it worse than you" excuse as to invalidate my shitty experiences in life.
With which I've replied: "is there someone in this conversation that's had it worse? No? Than what does that have to do with what I'm saying? It's not a contest"
People who say "theres people who have it worse" are in my opinion who have never experienced real loss or hardships in their life and that's why they talk out of their ass.
Real people with real struggles would never say something like that to someone,they would actually be empathetic.

My life had been pretty terrible to be fair. Not quite as bad as those suffering right now in absolute poverty or those growing up in Syria right now etc etc. But to the average person who has a normal 2.4 life with caring parents and a normal background.
Yeah I didn't have any of that.
i was bullied throughout my entire life in school, always in fights, always outcast to everyone.
Never really understood why... never really had anyone I could call a close friend...
and sometimes I'd find myself with noone too talk to and speak about the ways I was feeling...
I always had pressure from the whole family to excel and do well because they could sense I was intelligent.
But I never knew how to channel it properly in the right direction.
I tried my hand at start up companies, playing poker, going into college, university...
Failing at them all and giving up when the going got tough. Instead of sticking through it.

Today I am in university for the second time, final year, and through the experiences I've had I won't say things have gotten any easier... but I have matured, and learned to deal with the things life throws at you, and I can kinda see the bigger picture to how things can be in the future. Its hard work and still feels like a struggle everyday; but I just keep sticking at it, and every now and than I return to songs like this which helped me through those tough times.

My advice to anyone out there who is struggling with life, is sometimes not to rely on other people to try and get you through it... because people may not always be there. Try and find the answers within yourself and grow as an individual.

To those who hate people writing depressing comments about their life's story;
Some people do it for attention, and some others are just plain venting and pouring their heart out. Those who are doing it for plain attention should stop.
But those people who vent on these kinds of songs might actually have no one to turn to. When you say they should just get a therapist, that costs money. And maybe they don't have enough money or can't afford it or something. Maybe their friends won't listen to them or their family. And they Refuse to listen and deal with it. Sometimes people can't continue to bottle up their feelings and need to let it out somewhere. If idl people won't listen then they turn to the comments section of songs they listen to and love and help them through bad times. And maybe they feel relief after seeing as maybe someone out there understands them or listened to them after everyone else turned their backs on them. Or maybe their looking for advice.
If they're being sincere, please don't be so harsh on them. It also sometimes takes a lot for someone to post something tragic or sad on a public place.
