hey girl, I know that you switched from sociology to comp science and how did u get used to it? Like the switch from arts to stem? how easy was it to go into doing subjects like chem psychics and math esp when you aren’t used to it before? I just want to know because I want to transfer from arts to science and I thought ur advice could be helpful for me! luv ur vids and wishing u the best;)
i was actually pretty used to doing math courses (i did calc in hs and stats in first/second year) so it wasnt as bad as it couldve been. i think the hardest part tho is getting used to the fact that i had to consistently study😂😂 like arts was simple bc its easy for me to memorize & do an essay a couple days before the due date but the hardest part was just organizing my time to study more consistently (like every day) bc its a lot of application of theory. does that help?!?
@@yoonkai yess! thank you so much!!! i am actually going into arts first year right now and I don't think its the right fit for me and the only math experience I have is till grade 11 functions and applications. so, I might take some math courses this first year like you to see if I can get used to it. thank you so much again for you insight and advice!
Glad you're having fun Yoon and enjoying life in general and yeah Hehe oh by the way there's this anime called hi score girls it is so good when you get the time do check it out trust me, you'll binge watch it all. by the way here's the short plot summary of this anime "High Score Girl" is set in the 90s and follows this gamer kid named Haruo, who’s obsessed with arcade games. He meets a girl in his class, Akira, who’s quiet but turns out to be amazing at gaming-she totally crushes him in Street Fighter II. The anime is all about their friendship, growing up together, and how gaming ties them together. It’s nostalgic, fun, and has a bit of romance, perfect if you’re into retro games or just love a good coming-of-age story. A bit of side note when I first watched the title of the video, I really thought you went to Korea I was like wait did she go to Korea for vacay or something cause I have no idea what is Seoul Cafe hehehe and then I realized oh it's a cafe in general that just has the name seoul in it hehehehahahahah!!!😂😂
One of the major challenges I’m facing is the lack of opportunities for extracurricular activities at my school. It feels like it’s too late to get involved in anything school-based that could lead to significant achievements or awards for my college application. I’m considering taking the initiative to find opportunities on my own, like contributing to my community or developing new skills independently. But I’m not sure how to identify or pursue these opportunities effectively. Any advice on how I can tackle this would be greatly appreciated.
maybe you could consider starting a club if your uni offers that! it would show that youre able to take initiative. sometimes reaching out to professors or faculty members about ways to get involved are good as well. and you can also always do self learning on different platforms, theres a lot of resources on sites like edX, coursera, skillshare etc
