      Hi guys, I have used ExpressVPN for over two years now and so far haven't had any issues. I use it mostly for passing geo-restrictions for streaming US content outside of US. Depending on what your needs are, your experience might vary. What I like from them is the customer service support and ease of use. There are some other VPNs as good as ExpressVPN and cheaper too. Surf Shark comes to mind in my personal experience, but again, depending on what are you using a vpn for, your experience might vary.

    You can't trust any vpn service to not keep logs. Linux logs *everything* and it really takes effort to configure a vpn server that doesn't log anything traffic/user spesific. Its cheaper to leave your server logging and just say "We don't keep logs". At least assume cheapest services to do this. Only way to know if vpn service is logging or not, is when they're required to give all their data to authorities and that doesn't lead to customer prosecution.

    Here is just a few recent problems occured with NORDVPN.
    1. Traffic Bottlenecks
    2. Traffic Priority at the Data Center level-Networks setup to DC's that are not dedicated to one VPN.
    3. Intra-VPN attacks. Main goal to VPN hacking is to track users, attack users and to create multiple attack platforms.
    4. Certificate attacks against unprotected VPN users. (routers have very little port protection.)
    5. Excessive fragmentation.

    I use TorGuard for streaming and get 2 dedicated IPs. I run it on my router so all my devices are on VPN. I can do Netflix, Disney+, Prime, all without getting a proxy or VPN error. Plus I can access any website without it throwing out an error. And I have a plex server I can reach behind my VPN. It works perfect for my set up.

    • @aware24
      @aware24 4 роки тому +3

      Craylor Made I love TorGuard and the kicker is that it’s 60 bucks year with promo code, not 120 a year. It’s as fast if not faster then ExpresVPN. I was testing both on my router to compare. I love not having to change my location so that Prime or Netflix can work at the same time with VPN on. I had to do that with ExpressVPN, because of that the dedicated IPs and speed were my requirements. TorGuard met them. Just remember that if running on a router, it must support hardware (encryption) acceleration. Ac86u is one that can easily handle any VPN you throw at it, that along with Merlin firmware to make use of hardware acceleration on firmware and then AES-256-GCM to make use of the device’s encryption accelerator. I get near all my ISP speed. Anyways probably said too much, but yeah it’s god like. Had PIA, then ExpresVPN, and now TorGuard which is the best of them all. The TorGuard app is ugly though so that’s a negative on it, but like I said for me running it on router it’s perfect and can handle everything I need. 😜

      @JeepingCali 4 роки тому +1

      @@Craylor Yeah, 100 Mb/s (which is my actual contractual bandwidth) is more than enough for 1 user in this house. Very few sites/DLs even make use of that. I have had some torrent DLs max out around 11ish MB/s but it's very, very rare. If I had a family or roommates, I can see upping my overall bandwidth but for me, for $30/month that would be utterly useless and a waste of additional bill $$. The company I work for uses Cisco VPN with our own servers and honestly, I can't tell much of a difference in speed (throughput or latency/connection speed). Works for me. Great review, btw.

      Have you tried contacting them about the streaming? They proudly claim they support Netflix streaming on their website. As for the speed, that's not surprising. Since I typically get 150-200Mbps down without a VPN, seeing 100-150Mbps down on a VPN is "great" to me, but I have no way of testing the "ceiling" on these VPNs since my internet speed caps out where most VPNs handle it fine.

This is one crazy load balancer with a nefarious nature. UA-cam in the 104 range has also been attacking streaming from obfuscated. The warnings I and others experienced set off MTU warnings, warnings only happen above 6,000 packets per hour. We always test the MTU's. Fragmentation is the main enemy of privacy as such as it slows handshakes and blisters encryption.

    I've used Express VPN for 13 months. On my Android it constantly drops the connection and reconnects, sometimes 10 - 20 times a day. How is this secure? Also customer service must handle several users at a time because response times are really drags out, and if you mention that to them I think you get a little mark by your account and the service gets even worse.My subscription is up in a couple of days. I've stopped the auto renew from Paypal and the reason I'm here watching videos is to find a better one.

I usually have 800 down 300 up but with express it’s 400down 300 up and when a few people are connected to my network it can get as low as 200. Now that’s good don’t get me wrong but I’m suprised it would get cut in half.

      If they don’t have Columbia as a country, then yes and no. You can visit Columbian sites from a VPN located in another country if they aren’t region locked, but the websites will think you are in that country. This could cause issues with Google search, online stores, etc. I wouldn’t recommend doing it.
