      Knowing extensions, know what scales you have available, have a vocabulary of voicings, be rock solid on the basics, stay in the goldilocks zone of needing to pay attention to nail your exercises, do the work of finding a musical community that is better than you, a bunch of stuff on complex harmony, ear train to hear the root note and function of a chord. Plenty of things for you to take action on to become at improvising.
