These videos are such gold mines. I just wanted to ask. How do I get to a level enough to start following these tips. I am too much of a beginner to follow anything here and learning scales, chords and lil songs is already taking all my time.
All of these at the end of the day are very fundamental aspects of modern guitar! You just have to start very, very slowly and trust the process. For a lot of people it even takes teaching yourself how to actually feel time slowly
Guiseppe, one thing I’ve been wondering is how to properly finger the fretboard for prog metal. I remember being told that you should press down with your finger tips, but in some videos, like here around the 1:07 mark, it looks like you are fingering a particular fret using your entire finger or the pad of your finger instead. Am I making sense? Sometimes progressive fret fingering looks different from like regular rock guitar and I was just wondering how to learn or practice this different type of fingering style.

I think he said he worked on his legato skills for 12 years or so. 😂 so no rush.
