I just now noticed that Star Wars reference "My Friend doesn't like Alliance Types, I don't like Alliance Types Either" "My friend doesn't like you" "I'm in the middle of something" "I don't like you either."
***** I wish they'd kept the pinnacle station throughout the series, one of the most fun parts of ME1 and you should have at least been receiving rent in ME2 and 3
So disapointed that this was the romances for Ashley in the Citadel DLC. The romance scen with Ashley should have been family dinner with Ashely and her sister, Shepard should even be given the option to propose.
Ash - "I wouldn't miss it for the world its been one hell of a ride" Shepard ".....The best." So much emotion for just two words but seriously though Coolest line ever
ever time i hear shep say (The best) it bring a tear to my eyes because it has been a hell of a ride. I never thought a game could make me so emotionally attached to a game series. thanks bioware for all the great memories
The fact that this is the first game that made me cry is one of several reasons that this is my favorite and probably always will. I dont say such things lightly or casually.
This whole damn DLC has got me confused with my feelings. It's so cheerful, but at the same time they're basically waiting for their deaths. And BioWare delivered it so well with that ending.
Am I the only one who really enjoyed Ash? I mean I do feel like she got the short end compared to many others, but I dunno I still really enjoyed the relationship.
no way I love ash....Ash is a great romance... I love all the characters in the game theres a uniqueness to all of them that isn't like any other but, ash's personality meshes with shepards so much better than anyone elses. (some will disagree please no flaming :)) ..) On an emotional and military level ash finds so much common ground with shepard, that theres alot already understood between them because they've lived such similar lives. A big part of this romance is breaking through her emotional barriers. Even in ME2 when ash is gone thats the same kind of struggle you could deal with in real life especially on a military level. And lets be honest Shepard was gone for 2 years yeah he was "dead" but its not like she ran off with some other guy she was building her career and thinking of shepard the whole time it even says that in her letter to him..If you love someone you stay true to them even in times of doubt. Then you meet up with her again in ME3 and you see how crazy shepard gets when ash's face gets bashed in by the cerberus AI and you realize just how much he cares for her...With Ash you get all the stages of a real relationship even the hospital scenes visiting her when she's out so rich and full of emotional detail most people are upset because of the lack dialogue and interaction but really its alot less like a fairytale relationship and more like a real one at least from a military standpoint. Ash was built for shepard and vice versa
Nope I liked this romance I think with it feeling shortened is because you pretty much break up in Me2 because of the whole working for Cerberus thing but that relationship definately says they love each other the most
While Liara is the love interest that seems to get the most attention in the games, I always found it interesting that the love theme for ME3 is "I Was Lost Without You." The only character who says those words is Ash.
I romanced Ash in ME1 and ME2, resisted Liara's attempts to seduce me and Miranda's perfect body looks. And in the end I ended as a friend with Ash. Gosh. This line no easier, than in real life!
You know it's a good game when you get those feels at the part where Shepard is just staring at his/her ship. That music is so perfect, making you reflect on every game you played, every mission, every choice. Bravo Bioware, you've done in a game what most drama movies can't even dream of; make us care about the characters.
I think what upsets me the most is that the whole game the characters talk about defying the odds and surviving the reaper war. I think what every player truly wanted to see was Shepherd rising from the rubble at the end of the game as he did in the first. Mass Effect will always be my favorite game but Bioware really screwed it with the endings. Should've just let our decisions play some sort of role in the end.
GENERALSPARTAN27 Alive is a real big word... We hear him/her breathing under a pile of rubbles... Even if (s)he lives, how much are the chance (s)he he dies before anyone find him/her anyway!? WAY...TOO...MUCH! And even if (s)he does indeed survives... look at the cost! Almost all his friends and crew are dead! I actually like the endings of the game ,because it's really Mass Effect like ,but come on! Shepard went through a fucking lot of shit in his/her life... Give him a break! After all that,(s)he clearly deserve to live to tell the story and peacefully rest! I think it should have been an option... If I hadn't bought the trilogy on xbox , I would have downloaded the MEHEM mod (Mass Effect Happy Ending Mod...search it up ;) )
In fact,it's 4000EMS ,and 5000 if Anderson was shot down by the Illusive Man. But yeah...That's not easy to get. And still not even really satisfacting... But well... If he's just under some rubbles, maybe it can be revived like with the Lazarus project? But well it would be quite expensive... (not counting the even higher price if the work of Cerberus was destroyed),but hey. Shepard is probably the biggest hero, the one who defeated the mighty reapers! And war... Will always exist. I'd like to think like that.
Well, sorry. It's only 3100 with the extended cut DLC (which is really possible without online after that, but yeah... ) And also,I looked and if I believe what the wiki says, the Crucible said that "it's possible new machines will be built in the futures" ,so I think it could be really possible shit could happen again... And than only someone like Shepard could clear the mess. Of course it won't be as much as the reapers... They are truly massives and use technology from a thousands of thousands years old ! But well... I'd like to think it's not the end of the Commander... He deserve really better. He went through so much shit,he deserve to rest now. (Speaking of that, the only thing I didn't like about the ending is the fate of the normandy... I just don't know why? Why do the Normandy crash? Why did they decided suddently to just destroy the emblematic ship and kill most of the crew? And the survivors... They land on an unknown planet and their ship is destroyed... So what? They're going to die too? )
Why would it be? The beauty of this scene is the foreshadowing of the tragic ending to come, with that little hint of contrast that after it is all over, you will be with your loved one, making the ending strike so much harder. It all comes into place together.
I prefer this version of Ashley with her looks rather than the way she looks in Mass Effect 2 and the First Mass Effect game and damn Ashley in that dress just wow
Ash always felt like Garrus for dudes to me: she's your girlfriend, but with that she's also your best buddy who you can hit the bar with, shit talk each other and than go for some sniping competition on the roof. That's a woman for Commander Shepard. I also don't get why these two never developed any friendship, at least "on-screen". They seem like perfect homies with a lot in common who can spend some marvelous time together, and honestly Ash and Garrus as at least close friends make far more sense to me than Garrus and Tali. Oh well
Ashley didn't trust turians in ME1. She was completely over it in ME3 but I suppose there was too little time for befriending each other. Garrus and Tali, on the other hand, were with Shepard for all three games so they had plenty of time.
I thought all three were really good. I thought the conflict with Ashley/Kaidan made the love story that much better, adding some awesome tension, making the overall reunion that much more worth it. Liara's was boring, but you may argue that is was nice how she remained by your side the whole way through. If your talking about the DLC romance, then yes I agree Kaidans was pretty sweet, best of the three.
Only thing I don't like is the fact that Ashley is the only person whose "hang out" event in the citadel dlc is little to no different than when you don't romance her. Just one line different pretty much. Liara, Garrus, Jack, Miranda, Kaidan, hell even Thane! They all have big differences when you hang out with or see them if you romanced them. And she also didn't even get an apartment scene. Me being picky I guess but still
Bioware didn't care to bring back Kaiden or Ashley till the last minute so they got almost no lines. Then you see fucking Liara with a fucking new diaoglue every time you walk into her damn room in 3.
Ashley is the real waifu. Let's face it, she's been there since the beginning, and she's tough just as Shepard. She's human, she's a family person, she's a military person, and she's a Spectre. Miranda? She's infertile, and all that beauty is bought with money. Jack? Too much testosterone on that woman. Pretty sure most guys would choose Ashley if they were in Shepards place, I know I would.
i chose Ashley in ME1 and then did 2 saves of that same character in ME2, but on the second one i chose tali, and in ME3 i was defiantly amused, and slightly attracted
I felt like this through the whole game. I liked the ME1 romance with Ashley quite a bit, especially since you actually had to spend time talking to her. That, and I actually missed the bun.
01:29 - Funny enough, that's exactly what they did and had a Batarian/Vorcha punch-off later, as an all-too familiar scene to Star Wars Episode VI, A New Hope, if you think about what the Batarian mercenary, Blood Pack I reckon, his Vorcha buddy as well, you tend to remember your old merc enemies in this series by a mile off and yeah, I'd say they were Blood Pack. Anyway, it's eerie that Ash said that and funny enough they actually do just so later on.
they'd have to accept destroy as canon since its the only ending where there can be conflict, under control shepard becomes the guardian of the universe controlling the reapers and in synthesis there is no need for more war because everyone understands each other which would piss people off who chose control and synthesis, most likely it'll be a prequel showcasing the rachni war krogan rebellions or the 1st contact war, showing leviathan etc would need a whole new lore since its a different time
Given the dialogue in the final scene and the overall plot of the DLC, i'm guessing i should save this until near the end of the game before the assault on the Cerberus base.
I don't get the various "nice outfit" lines from the other romanced characters. Isn't it the same set of clothes Shepard wears all the time on the Normandy?
Every time ive played this game when it gets to the bed scene at the end i always get the same dialogue as you get in this video but the last time played it for some reason the dialogue was different.
am I the only one who enjoyed her romance on the ship compared to the citadel dlc. not because it's lil graphic but because it just seems more intimate between the two
but that would affect it, destroy means that synthetics will be created beginning the series of events that eventually lead to the reapers and the cycles, control shepard handles conflict and protects the galaxy and in synthesis there is no conflict because there is complete access to knowledge and everyone understands each other , the only way your idea works is if they accept refuse or destroy because they're the only ones where conflict could exist, setting in the past eliminates that need
Her writer from the previous games either left the company or was working on another project. I'm not talking about Drew Karpyshyn. Even in the main game, her character didn't have a lot of dialogue.
Hmm.. Well, it is a video game. Anything can happen. And having two endings where Shepard definetly dies makes me think he miracliously survives the Destroy ending. He is Shepard. Wakes up, and slowly walks around in the ruins of the Citadel. And finds somehow a computer that is working or if his comm channel is working and then contacts the Normandy and Joker. Having 2 endings where he die and 1 where he lives makes sense.
I just now noticed that Star Wars reference
"My Friend doesn't like Alliance Types, I don't like Alliance Types Either"
"My friend doesn't like you"
"I'm in the middle of something"
"I don't like you either."
"You should be careful we're wanted men, I have the death sentence in 12 systems"
It was amazing!
Logan Mainord And then comes Ashley with a concealed lightsaber, cutting through both of them like paper
99thJediWarrior um...omni-blades? Shep has one too :D
***** Well I'm not THAT familiar with Mass Effect so I just went with the Star Wars reference. That and Omni-Blades are too short.
does anyone else find it ironic that when Shepard FINALLY gets an apartment, the Citadel is destroyed in the end?...
No one said the apartment was destroyed....
Jacob Pilgrim McReady considering the damage done to the Citadel when the Crucible fired, i wouldn't rule it out as a possibility

Playing me3 tells us that, we all had a good run..
Also, I LOVE the way he says "the best". Even better than FemShep, I think.
I bet that bar didn't let EDI in. "We don't serve your kind here!"
