Coach, you've never done a disservice to us. Seriously, thank you for everything you've done. My jungler friend is jealous there isn't a Coach Curtis for every role in League lol
Exactly
There is actually Nathan Mott, who's a good friend of curtis and does jungle content!
Nathan Mott is the Coach Curtis of Jungle. Really recommend his videos.
I would love a Coach Curtis for Top Lane, though, haha.
^^^^^
@@trashgames8121 Thank you, I'll have my friend check him out!
Coach Curtis has slowly become one of my favorite content creators everything he puts out is pure gold :)
Thanks legend
@@CoachCurtis Make a guide on Swain mid plz that would be epic
And he is VERY detailed. You can tell he puts his heart and soul into this content, really valuable stuff. If I could subscribe twice I would.
I remember that the first time I hit master, I didn't care about warding, jungle tracking, win cons, anything. I just focused on spacing, csing and tempo. You guys have NO IDEA how absurdly important clicking is. The beautiful thing is that, once you can properly move your character and always do mini-outplays on your opponent, all the other stuff like warding/wincons/jungle tracking starts making a bigger impact than normal, since your fingers are able to translate the lead you get from decision-making.
This was a great video, Curtis. Thank you very much
What champs u played
@@lastwhisper1425 It was when Akali and Irelia mid were nuts. Since both champions were lane dominant, it really fit how I played. I prob wouldn't be able to do it today since both are not as stupid as before.
@@KhoraTV oh ye with the shroud that could protect from tower shots LOL
Really good point man! You are spot on, appreciate the insight and thanks for tuning in
@@lastwhisper1425 The Akali healing and the 4 stack irelia passive. I miss them hahaha
"Point and click abilities have less value"
*Laughs in Malzahar*
Twisted Fate: *Am I a joke to you?*
Malz Q is a skillshot :3 and actually a quite unique one is the game.
*Laughs in Garen*
Laughs in veigar
I think we can all agree that Malzahar's ultimate is the #1 most bullshit ability in the entire game
Laughs in cleanse/qss
I never thought I would find myself saying "holy shit" out loud in response to someone clicking. But my god those Knight clicks are clean af
coach just moaning to knights micro lmao
LOL
The coach... the only dude teaching for free and still flames himselfe for not doing it in the right order
Bro you are to nice for this world keep it up u r doing great 💪
the amount of detail and work you put into just this one video alone is outstanding. Appreciate you!
This is one of the most important and best videos you have produced yet. I appreciate this!
Just found this channel and my god, really amazed that people get to watch these for free. Knew about these topics for years but only understood the surface level. But this is extremely detailed and has lots applicable advices. Keep up the work Curtis!
The breakdown of AA range was really informative. I can think of a really good ARAM game i had last night on Azir, and most of the instances i died, im pretty sure i was walking in a straight line and got blitz-hooked. Love your content Coach!
i was used to tether but never look into it so deeply, i just applied what you said and starting from game one i could notice the difference and was actually able to avoid needless damage while still doing damage to my opponent and able to roam/farm freely without wasting too many potion or recalling too much. Looking forward for part two.
my english is garbage.
WHAT A MAN OH GOD. just saw the first minute of the video and i have to say, you are really an amazing teacher AND an amazing person for your concern for the quality and effectiveness of your content. People like you really inspire me and reminds me why i'm studying to become a teacher. All teacher suffer from the curse of knowledge, so it really is understandable why you only thought about this video later. its actually a very good sing that you even thought about it at all. Keep up the amazing job my dude, you make us all proud.
I believe that even when I'm not able to do this thethering, the knowledge of this already makes me pay more attention in what my opponent is trying to do, and also I can also easily identify my mistakes and improve on them. Thank you again, I've already improve a lot seeing of your videos, now im just trying to avoid playing Galio to carry my games haha
* makes tons of high quality informational video's * "I have done you a disservice"
I get what you're saying, and it's good to keep reflecting. Keep it up! I'm learning a lot from you.
I've always struggled with playing melee mid laners, seems like this video is exactly what I needed, thanks so much!
My pleasure :)
I kind of knew this was important, but having you actually break this all down truly shows how important this fundamental is. Thank you!!!
Recently I've found myself gravitating towards higher skill champs like akali and most recently (past week) azir, and I feel my biggest issue is my micro, but I could never find any real tips on improving my micro. I'm so glad I found this channel when trying to learn azir, because this video and the others I've watched are insanely informative and useful. One if my bigger issues with akali has been playing into matchups like the orianna and the syndra and not understanding how to bait out those abilities, and simply from watching this video I feel like I can be more confident and understanding in these matchups (although obviously I'll need to out work into my click speed, and probably more important for me click accuracy).
Thanks Coach, and keep up the great work here!
Great video as always. There’s no need for you to apologize, you’ve taught me more about league since you started your channel than I’ve learned from everyone else combined. Thanks again for the great work.
My pleasure Curtis :)
Thank you for this video, coach curtis. This is my first time watching an educational video in League and the way you explained yourself was amazing.
wow i learned so much in just the first 8 minutes thank you so much
the value of clearly slowly and in detail explaining these concepts its so high and hard to find
This is a topic you should do more content on, especially since no one talks about it. I think a lot of people have the opinion this is a skill you can't learn. You hear things like "he's a mechanical player" vs "he's not a mechanical player". If you could get a couple coaching clients who are willing, I would love a series following their development micro wise. Just to see how much can someone actually improve their micro and how much effort does it take.
good idea, I would like to see that too and I really think coach curtis is more than able to coach someone micro wise.
LS has videos on practicing tethering and he always goes into that in his coaching. That's why he stopped coaching low elo players for most of the part because he focuses on too advanced stuff.
Oh nice! I've been wanting something like this, ever since i saw your channel! But just like many others said, you haven't done us any disservice. Its just like you said, those skills are easily taken for granted once aquiered (or how ever that is spelled). GG! And keep up the good work!
Thanks for tuning in Andre
You are amazing. Thank you for this vid. You explained this so well, it's like my eyes are open for the first time. No one else covers this
this kinda video is really interesting opens up an entire new aspect of the game for most players keep up the good work coach
thanks for all the help curtis your content is amazing. never stop
This is SOOOO useful, THANK YOU! I've seen hundreds of videos for "Newbies" and "Low Elo" that assume you've already been playing for years, thank you for breaking things down to the micro game
My pleasure :)
My god. So much beautiful and interesting content. U're such a talented coach/teacher. Thank you so much!
thankyou so much this is exactly what i needed and im super excited for part 2!
Man. Believe. You made this perfectly. There is no other detail in the world you haven't mentioned. Thank you man. Thank you coach curtis.
Yo this channel actually helps a ton to improve. Thanks coach!!
Such high quality!! Really great insights that I am going to try in game
love the subject. i like that with this you start cover the whole espectrum. micro/macro. keep doing your amazing job man.
Thanks for tuning in Fidel!
Thanks a looot. It;s actually very important topic to cover. And another thanks for the recomendations about mini games and services which can help with this skill. Just love it.
Your channel has grown immensely over this past year. Congratulations!
By far the best Educational content on LoL
Thank you Rui!
Nicest juiciest coaching out there. Bravo!
You're doing a great job Curtis just keep at it :)
I just want to let you know, that we enjoy your content and that its very helpful.
& I have my ad block turned off when watching your videos, to give some tiny support. XD
Once again great vid and Curtis you don't know the look of joy on my face when i got to practice the ori vs syndra matchup in solo queue.
i loveeeee that matchup
Man I gotta say these videos are absolute GOLD for us midlaner.
What champion guide arenyou working on right now? Always looking forward to those
Keep up the great work man 😄
Don't have one lined up right now, still working on some other videos :)
Melee mid laners are my favorite, so I really appreciate you making this video coach! It will help a lot
You are the best, i have no doubts about it. Thank you!
Broh, u are so good at coaching, i learn so much new and get better couse of this. Thank you for your hard and great work!
Super video man !!! Keep it up
in your extra knowledge section, you talk about the importance of wrist health. i have spent my life as a gamer and have always had a love for fitness. but when my physical health started to suffer because of my gaming habits. it took about 2 years of hard work, trial and error as well as finding good sources. to improve my posture, extend my range of motion, and a series of stretching. this journey still continues and i can feel a lot of the same aces and pains come back around because of the new limited lifestyle of being inside because of the pandemic. i have recently started a career path as a personal trainer and i would love to work with clients to improve their gamer health. my dream would be to work with some of the pros LoL teams one day.
as always Curtis thank you for your content this video came out at the perfect time. i had a brain blast the other day that working on my tethering skills would improve my laning. we all now have so many good examples to look up with all the pros on the super server.
Love this man, I think it's important for people like you to help educate how gamers can better look after their body. I also started doing stretches every morning to make sure I don't turn into a potato. I need to probably talk about this more on my channel
One of your best video, love it
I actually have been waiting for this video, clicked on it right when I saw it, thanks so much!
same, thank the gods for this
Glad you clicked on it ;)
My pleasure Brian :)
Thanks for this video Curtis. I'm desperately trying to climb, you have very good content I hope it will help me out.
Hopefully this can help man
thank you for you effort, love your videos !
man i actually needed this. thanks bro
Another banger of a video thanks curtis!
My pleasure Josh!
I was talking to my friends who are new to the game about this exact topic just a few weeks ago, and how no one admits how much of an impact having good mouse movements are in league of Legends. Everyone talks about macro, mechanics, cs, etc. but no one has made an actual guide or has talked about mouse movements in this game till now. Great work Curtis!
My pleasure buddy :)
Thanks man I really appreciate your effort and those videos you make are the best
Great video as always man!
these videos are amazing. I'm a top laner and while I can't translate everything you're saying 100% to the top lane I still learn tons an have seen improvements
in bot lane tethering is very helpful for autospacing, ever since i saw the clip of deft autospacing viper i've been inspired. you should watch it too if you can, very beautiful! i've been wanting to improve my micro for so long lol, this is super helpful! thank you so much :>
Wow... so this is one of the thing that I need to improve, learning this will help me to improve my laneing phase. Dear lord Coach... Thank you so much
Thank you, now I now what to look for when watching vods
Coach sounds like steve erwin talking about faker's clicks lol
CRIKEY
Really love your videos Curtis, don’t feel like you’ve done a disservice! Your content is so helpful man, you don’t even know lol
I'm a top lane main former adc stuck in silver peaked gold and your guides are the only ones on youtube that actually address the issue of helping bad players improve. I've been playing for 11 years watching guides to no avail. They don't address my fundamental issue of bad micro. Thanks man
Man this concept is so alien to people i swear, only by tethering i usually create leads on lane and I rarely see people do that to me. I wonder how terrible my macro is that i can't get out of plat 1 past couple of years.
I have a question tho. How do I identify my weak points since I can't afford a coaching session? Maybe you have a video on identifying your strenght and weaknesses as a player? If no could you make one?
Anyway, I appreciate the content.
Hmmmm it really is difficult sometimes to find your weaknesses as a player, the best thing you can do without coaching is to literally study my videos, and then go into your own vods and see if you can see the concepts being implimented and then compare that to other pros playing the same matchups
skillshare s never gonna get a cent outta me as long as you upload. You re insane.
you did no such disservice, you made me learn mid and i enjoy the game so much more thanks to you!
i really love your work coach, u are amazing, keep it up
Coach, all your videos are awesome seriously i love them you do such a good job
My pleasure Michael :) Glad I could help you out
Very useful information that I never know
Thank alot
No problem :)
your channel is a gold mine man you don´t have to apologise for anything
Woah, this guy just had 1k subs last time I checked..
Finally getting the attention he deserves!
thank you brother
This was honestly the ONE video I was missing. I kept losing lanes due to bad micro/being unable to tether properly.
Mechanics max has helped me recently. Before the podcast I shit you not I could vividly remember failing to click accurately in several team fights that lost me the fight/kill etc
this is better than any coaching service you could pay for.
Very good video once again! A nice example for reallife tethering would be bruce lee ^^
Tethering is also very champion specific so it explains why otps work so well
Bruce Lee has maxed out his irl tethering hahah
There's some micro topics LS talks about that I think would be good to cover. One is this idea of "pockets" where you break the lane into various areas your character could be in and the pros and cons of those locations. The other is developing brain hand character coordination. LS describes that as knowing where your character is without needing to look at it. If you have this skill well developed you know where your character is without looking because you know where you clicked by feel so you can focus your attention solely on other things. LS recommends training yourself to only look at your character through peripheral vision.
This is a video where LS talks about "pockets" ua-cam.com/video/0VFpr_NAIPk/v-deo.html
Great video Curtis!
Super interesting this is something I'll have to look more into
I started implementing this concept with more focus, and i already see great improvements in my games, i'm climbing fast
I got problems related with that. Sometimes my head is faster than my hands and is not the first time i caught myself standing in the middle of the wave just autoatacking the wave. Is just that i put so much focus trading autos and skills with the enemy (ori player) without losing cs that my hands cant take it all at once and I stop moving my character. Not sure if this is common or not. Great video Coach, waiting for the next one.
I clicked to learn micro, not to attend a Caps roasting session, poor guy ;-; helpful guide as always though coach! :)
Wanted to see a jungle video tonight but you released this and I said: this is more important xd
I think since I play alot of Katarina I naturally learn to bait skill shots and when I play a low range mage like Cassiopeia I am able to be comfortable at less range dodging skillshots because I started playing league with mostly assassins (ekko, Irelia, ahri, and Elise/nid/Evelyn in the jg, etc).
This video was very helpful, great video!
I normally hate the idea of playing zed, but I think I should pick up zed (as an ad assassin) since i already have alot of experience on assassins
Telling yourself that you've done a disservice to us isn't true whatsoever, coach. Your content is some of the highest quality educational league content that is FREE nonetheless. You deserve nothing but praise for what you've already put out on this platform. Desiring to improve that content is never a bad thing, but saying it is a disservice that you forgot one aspect of the game where you have so much to talk about only showcases your humanity. Thanks again for all you do Coach. We all greatly appreciate it
Thank you so much
This is huge. Thank you.
Yes, this video is incredibly valuable advice that I've been looking for.
You probably became my favourite youtuber league related 🙈
Thanks man
we dont deserve an angel like you
Great video couch! Don´t you have any reccomendations about mouse sensitivity? I play with quite high sensitivity and I don´t know whether it is good, as I sometimes struggle with my clicking acurracy. Thanks!
Im a top laner I still use some of this information very helpful
Great vid
I've poured thousands of hours into youtube and I only have 4 subscriptions. Watched first 20 minutes of this vid and was happy to add to that collection.
Damn i started doing this naturally but now i can consciously practice it. Gj
I like how you dont act like you're the best but you point out your own mistakes
love this
Omg you did it :)
The goat of coach
Woah I’ve never been this early :)
Earlier the better
Huge Video again! After watching this Video i feel Like i have Always known what tethering was but did it anyways subconciously. The Problem was i never knew how i could improve my tethering expt of playing More. When U mentioned the Champs that would get OP after mastering this Skill i was suprised U didnt mention tf, or am i missunderstanding Things Here ? And is showmaker good at tethering?
TF is another that can be much better with tethering you are correct!
Showmaker is also very good
I see a new Coach Curtis video, I click like
Tried out some of these techniques facing a yasuo otp, just demolished him whilst having better cs all game :D Ty Coach!
wow I legit spent 100s of dollars on league coaching. this guy has helped me more in a few hours than several days worth of coaching from proguides
Hi coach! Thanks for all the awesome content you make. Is there possibility to include in next video an example of immobile mage vs irelia/fizz? I'm low elo viktor player and I feel like with proper tethering these matchups should be bearable, but I can't assess the distance properly due to amount of gap closers they have.
I think this would make a solid video, I'll note this down
@@CoachCurtis Thank you!
Awesome video! Just to add to the tip about using smurf acc to practice. I myself just use flex que for this since I am not high enough elo to be bothered to get a smurf. But flex que is a nice middleground for seriousness and fiesta to use for practice of micro and champs, atleast for me
That's a good point actually, I might spread that message
Coach Curtis the lol professor the great of all coaches ❤️❤️❤️❤️
