If we wanted to, we could use free assets with the animations already made. The question is how do we actually add them to a platformer without different animations on one character overlapping and playing when they arn't supposed to?
you could try naming the animation costumes and set a couple of forever blocks and if then blocks to only trigger them when a key is pressed, like attack_0, attack_1, walk_0, walk_1, etc. Whenever you're not playing an animation, it goes back to the idle state.
It's really hard for animations to overlap in scratch because it's just not built like that.
@@JacksonAcademy1 right, but say you have a 12 frame run cycle, and you stop pushing the right arrow key while the character is still half way through it. The forever loop will force the character to finish the cycle, but because theres another loop telling it to return to idle when the key isn't pressed, he will snap between an idle and some random frame 6 times before it's done

Hello, could you do something related to the Resistance game series please?
Gimme some specific ideas (at least 3)
@@JacksonAcademy1 1) Recreate the demo of one of the Resistance games.
2) Recreate Resistance 2 co-op mode.
3) Recreate Resistance 2 multiplayer but offline with bots.
4) Recreate Survival Mode from Resistance 3.
These are the main ideas, but I have a few more if you don't like these, but if you do, my favorites are idea 2 and 3.

Like multiplayer games in Scratch?
@@JacksonAcademy1 I like it, the scenery is good and the game is cool, but the game would need some changes to look like Resistance, such as the character Nathan Hale and the Hybrid enemy (Chimera), and the Carbine weapon for Nathan Hale and the Bullseye weapon for the Hybrid, and for the Spire Missile scenario, so it would convey more of the feel of Resistance, do you think that would be possible?

I think you kinda overdid it with the smear frames. I recommend just doing the first frame for the baseball smear
Yeah, kinda dramatic though, but they are game animations. The smear frames are just to cut down on the inbetweens for the younger people and give them a simpler way instead of dragging out the tutorial. like, "Just stretch out the character"
