2:32 A 100% Pen project is a game that is 100% made with Scratch's pen extension. For example, 3D games use the pen, but some aren't 100% pen because they could have, say UI. It is extremely hard to make a 100% pen project with good textures, so most don't have very good textures.
Yeah it's only not 144p in turbowarp with certain settings too.

100% pen means that the creator used an add on called pen which draws using code, so they bassically made the whole thing with the pen tool
Which is absolutly insane, i cannot fathom how hard that is

100% pen basically means that every frame the game individually draws everything instead of just using sprites/models, it’s pretty impressive and hard to do
The part where Quincy got his revenge on DDT and said "It's Quincin' time!" was easily the best part of this hidden masterpiece.

the 100% pen game is actaully really impressive because the entire game was made using pen which means its drawing everything real time and its really limited
2:28 For those who don’t know what 100% pen is, it’s a challenge where you can only use the pen extension for rendering. That means no sprites, no costumes, none of that. 5:27 you should check out his crystal seeker game, it’s a full 3D game with like 10 areas each with 3 levels and some boss fights!
its funny you mention the DS version of btd in this video, almost nobody knows about it. It was one of my first bloons games and i got to round 350? or something around there before my ds crashed when i was 10, 13 years ago. there were no sun gods or bloons above moab, so i had a whole screen of plasma monkeys basically demolishing every round because im assuming there was no freeplay scaling. if i remember correctly, i had to glitch my way into freeplay, as i dont think it was an intended feature
I was actually really surprised to not find any footage of the game so I had to use an image. It makes sense people don't really know about it since it was a DSI-ware game.

I loved the part in the bloons tower defense 7 storyline when Pat Fusty said "ITS SQUASHING TIME!" and then he started squashing all of those bloons

I hate how people undermine scratch when you can do some really cool shit on there I'm like people manage to make 3d games on it and I managed to put a scratch game on steam

100% pen means that the sprites were made of code and not drawing or making it with squares and circles. The pen is an addon to the coding program and can be used to make some cool stuff

2:28 A “pen” in scratch is an expansion you can use where instead of drawing the designs, you code the designs, it’s usually used for Scratch’s 3D games.
This means that the 100% pen Bloons game has had the entire graphics section coded out. It’s a lot more impressive than it seems.

100% pen was only using the pen tool. That means you don't use any sprites, but instead draw them using pen code (which is extremely hard). That is the reason that the sprites weren't yoonked from the og.

I had to make a game on scratch for a school project some years back, and if it weren't for me spending 20+ hours ttying to code this and giving up with depression, I'm certain the game would have ended up here

Could you make a game in scratch too? I think it would be interesting since I assume you have at least seen some of the code in some of the games you reviewed. While yes coding in scratch can be difficult, it's very fun and pretty simple if you are making something more easy to make.

In Scratch Bloons TD (4th chapter of the video) There can be more than 1 tier 4 because in bloons 4, 5, and six there can be more than one tier four.
I'm sad you didn't get to see axelorzoco's btd 6 remake of the dipler's btd 1 and 2, both are really impressive. (Also the dipler's btd 1 is basically btd 5 and btd 2 is basically btd 6
Also on scratch when u search something up try changing the popular to trending on the top left dropdown it might help finisding new improved ideas of the search.. the default popular shows old remakes from years ago that was popular at the time

The hardest part is making the bloons continue along the track at different speeds when popped mid track.
There's a lot of bloons so they HAVE to be clones.
Also, Scratch doesn't have many options for clones. Which they need.
i made multiple td games on scratch and it's easy for me, | tower detection | bloons speed and health setup | make them follow a track (with line detectors) | and rounds (costs alot of time) | haha.. .. .. h a ... .

as a scratch developer, I can tell you it's actually hard to to make a FULL recreation of bloons. You need to make all the bloons,monkeys,and their range which is the hardest to do,which is probably why that one game you can't put monkeys where you want them.

2:45 pen uses a pretty complicated thing called "stamp" and "pen down" and "pen up" which i don't think you quite know that it's not drawn by vectors

It’s saying that the upgrades are cross paths but that’s a mod for the game the upgrades are actually called tiers
