- In 2007, Ke'onte was just eight years old, News 8's Gloria Campos featured him as a Wednesday's Child in hopes of finding a family to adopt him.
Following a failed adoption and disappointment, Gloria did another report on Ke'onte two years later, in hopes the second time would be the charm.
Now 14, Ke'onte returned to WFAA to surprise Gloria Campos, live, during the Wednesday, March 4, 2014 News 8 at 10 broadcast.
Anybody else burst in tears when he walked in and hugged her?
✋🏽
"I'm so happy that you're happy".
That's the one that killed me.
I'm sure this reporter had no idea she would end up being an angel for this little boy. He's loved, and is such a gentleman. Just beautiful 💗💗💗
Gloria Campos should be recognized for her contributions to helping these foster kids find forever families. I want to adopt an older child and I will in the next few years, and it's because of stories like this.
I come back to see this video from time to time, just see the utter happiness and love demonstrated here. Such a touching moment. If ever I get down on myself, I should return here to watch this.
Probably the only way to be happy is helping others.
How could you start adoption proceedings and then change your mind? You're giving a child a home. If you're not ready then don't make a commitment in the first place. All a child wants is someone to love them and feel safe. How hard is that? I'm so happy for Ke'onte. He's finally home.
Ke'onte is a champion. I just love this kid so much.
This one got me. I was all teary eyed.
What's beautiful is that no wonder there was a click! The boy, and his parents, share the same temperament and gentleness. They are a beautiful family!
What a great kid! I hope to adopt too 😭 so many kids who need love
I would love to adopt as well, just have a few financial hurdles to get over before I can even think about it.
He is lovely lad. Well brought up, you can see.
For she has almost 4 decades.
Gloria should run for governor, we need an intelligent person with a heart like hers.
Those people stay away from Politics sadly.
because they have seen the worst from politic
@@bshays21 Honest people aren't well liked in politics
She served Dallas, TX well and help highlight many minority business live both her and guy report
God is so good. This story touched my heart, couldn’t stop crying.God bless Gloria and this family🙏🏾💜
Beautiful story,I agree, children are too medicated, poor boy,I'm glad he's now happy
Step 1: Watch video
Step 2: Try not to cry
Step 3: Cry a lot
Then figure out how YOU can make the world a better place!
Step ZERO.
Almazan187 that was definitely me
Almazan187 o
Yeah... tried. Failed. Cried. Meh.
I'm not crying !...my eyes are sweating
enterBJ40 lmao
😅🤣😅 me too.
Such a great story. Crying also 😭
Somebody is cutting onions!!!!!
This is a great story...It's great to know that this young man has 3 wonderful adults in his life...This is truly a blessing :)
What a great kid. Thank you Gloria & adoptive parents. You are truly blessed now.
My gosh, that brought tears to my eyes. I miss Gloria as an anchor too.
What a fantastic person. The world is a better place because of you. My hat’s off to you.
So fantastic! This touched my heart. There is NO throw-away child.
i have a feeling this kid will become famous or something.
I KNOW ............
Give the lady a moment to cry some tears of joy….that was so heartwarming.
Gloria - you're amazing. The world needs more people like you.
Wow. This made me cry and cry and cry. Ms. Campos is a treasure.
The system has made it really too difficult for these kids to get adopted. Not every child in foster care gets to have this - thanks to the system - and that breaks my heart.
53 people are heartless. How can you NOT like this video?
Vincent Brown It's 124 now. Guess they don't like nice stories.🙁

163 NOW!
The elephant in the room is that some heartless people disapprove of transracial adoptions.
@@Leonard_Wilson haters gonna hate.
Had to punch a wall to feel like a man again...
Chamath Jagoda lmao
punching a wall?..ok but I think if your able adopting a cute bean would make you & the kiddo feel better
LOL - Me too!
God continue Blessing you Gloria. So inspiring.
These stories, oh my gosh!! Love seeing these, even though I have watched this probably a dozen times. Best wishes for many more happy years. To anyone in the process of adoption, I pray that everything goes well for you too.
Man who would not want him he's a great kid and this really makes me ashamed for just complaining about any little thing when there is truly kids with nothing God forgive me
What a beautiful young boy. I hope he has found all he needs.
She, Gloria, is a blessing. Kind and authentic.
Watching this story just made my day! How inspiring and uplifting! Thank you!
These beautiful stories make me cry tears of joy. Blessings all
I'm not crying...I'm just cutting onions, that all really 😢
Me too doggone onions
The "30 years with Gloria" celebration was for her retirement. Gloria Campos is retiring from WFAA station. A visit from the adopted boy was an excellent tribute to her honorable and well-respected time on-air.
I love it. Beautiful people and a ton of thanks to Gloria.
"I'm so happy that you're happy. You're right?" Asking the important questions
watching from London today BIG love to Gloria campos and the young man's wonderful parents
Goosebumps all over me! Who is watching in 2017.
Its a blessing that she saw something in this young man to do a special and find him 2 loving people that appreciates him.
Who in the world could dislike this story. Just a beautiful report on adoption. I can associate, I was adopted.
Wow man, praise God for doing so much good through a really good person who loves others the way Jesus would want them too! That's so amazing man! God bless you Gloria, and God bless the children you care for, I know they'll find a home too! And God bless you and your family Ke'onte, you'll be one heck of a broadcaster! :-)
Who gives this a thumbs down? Seriously? Fuck any of you who would thumbs down this shit. This is the stuff that dreams are made of, and both the child and his parents get to enjoy a relationship they never would have had otherwise.
This never gets old to me!
I think this young man's journey had to to happen for him to be with well spoken, astute, loving, caring and appreciative man he is becoming. This story gave me a glimpse of hope for the future of humanity in America.
All those darn forest fires! Smoke gets in my eyes!
Oh my God. This is what this world needs so very much more of.
Damn onions!!!!
Lool
lmao 😂😂
lol
LukaBlight69 lmao
Omg! This video made me cry. This will make you change your perspective in life. The little things we complain about everyday mean nothing. Having a loving family is all that matters.
So happy for him. What a sweet boy.
Gosh this brings tears when he went out and hugged her 😢😢
I'm having tears :( I am happy for him .
That made me cry I'm such a crybaby.....great story
What a wonderful, compassionate woman. Wow!
You can just see how different he is now, what a sad boy in 2007, no hope in his eyes.
So touching and inspiring. There are so many "Angels" here on earth :-)
I loved when she said. and you're happy? you are, right? she really cares. God bless. xx :)
i think a lot of these celebrities need to start Adopting kids here in America and stop going over seas to do it to make them look popular. we as Americans need to start helping our own and not other countries.
A kid is a kid no matter what country, origin, religion or race they are or from. Giving a child a home regardless of their country is irrelevant to why they choose to adopt!
So sweet, it brought tears to my eyes. Keep up the good work!
I love this video its been years and I still cry each time I watch it 😫💙
this is a good story I thank them so much racism has to stop all of us are equal
loko wright we need to unite, black and white are brothers and sisters! Do we really need an alien-invasion for us to unity and figth side by side.
