I think this film just shows that somethings never change. This was an excellent film of how laws seem strange. My disgust is also felt for lack of integrity in the Supreme Court and in some of the courts today. If one could enforce homework for judges I would assign Talk Of The Town with Ronald Coleman as a judge headed to the Supreme Court and Stranger In Town. The speech made by Frank Morgan about the law is priceless and applies very well today.

However, I've come to feel over the years, Beau has become the more versatile more captivating actor, than his brother. He becomes the role in which he plays we can more identify with, I feel. That likable human side that keeps you coming back is always the true sign of a great actor.

    Hi
If the Judge in his daughter’s rape case had explained to him why he couldn’t convict Johnson, he would not have taken matters in his own hands and killed him, but would have found a legal way to pursue justice. The judges THEMSELVES should be the ones to rectify this, or any other terrible ruling that prevents justice from being done! In the end we ALL have to stand before THE judge!

Judges and lawyers fell asleep and have sleepwalked through the years ever since... letting criminals and traiters bent on destroying not just the justice system but justice itself join their ranks and be treated with respect. The solution truly is the people, seeing the truth and stepping, one way or another, outside the box.

"The legal system is designed to justify injustice. And of course it does not apply equally to everyone.

That is only a SMALL part of the Role that GOD assigned to HIS PEOPLE, regarding keeping Government Accountable, and them keeping CRIMINALS accountable - and it includes GODLY INSTRUCTIONS to the NEIGHBORS who KNOW what they Neighbor did and DID NOTHING ABOUT IT, Old AND NEW TESTAMENT:
      Leviticus 20
1.And the Lord said to Moses,
      2. Moreover, you shall say to the Israelites, Any one of the Israelites or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech [the fire god worshiped with human sacrifices] shall surely be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones.
      3. I also will set My face against that man [opposing him, withdrawing My protection from him, and excluding him from My covenant] and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given of his children to Molech, defiling My sanctuary and profaning My holy name.
      4. And if the people of the land do at all hide their eyes from the man when he gives one of his children [as a burnt offering] to Molech [the fire god] and they overlook it or neglect to take legal action to punish him, winking at his sin, and do not kill him [as My law requires],
      5. Then I will set My face against that man and against his family and will cut him off from among their people, him and all who follow him to [unfaithfulness to Me, and thus] play the harlot after Molech.
      6. The person who turns to those who have familiar spirits and to wizards, [being unfaithful to Israel’s Maker Who is her Husband, and thus] playing the harlot after them, I will set My face against that person and will cut him off from among his people [that he may not be included in the atonement made for them].
      1 Corinthians 5:
      1. It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, impurity of a sort that is condemned and does not occur even among the heathen; for a man has [his own] father’s wife.
      2. And you are proud and arrogant! And you ought rather to mourn (bow in sorrow and in shame) until the person who has done this [shameful] thing is removed from your fellowship and your midst!
      3. As for my attitude, though I am absent [from you] in body, I am present in spirit, and I have already decided and passed judgment, as if actually present,
      4. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, on the man who has committed such a deed. When you and my own spirit are met together with the power of our Lord Jesus,
      5. You are to deliver this man over to Satan [a]for physical discipline [to destroy carnal lusts which prompted him to incest], that [his] spirit may [yet] be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
      6. [About the condition of your church] your boasting is not good [indeed, it is most unseemly and entirely out of place]. Do you not know that [just] a little leaven will ferment the whole lump [of dough]?
      7. Purge (clean out) the old leaven that you may be fresh (new) dough, still uncontaminated [as you are], for Christ, our Passover [Lamb], has been sacrificed.
      8. Therefore, let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with leaven of vice and malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened [bread] of purity (nobility, honor) and sincerity and [unadulterated] truth.
      9. I wrote you in my [previous] letter not to associate [closely and habitually] with unchaste (impure) people-
      10. Not [meaning of course that you must] altogether shun the immoral people of this world, or the greedy graspers and cheats and thieves or idolaters, since otherwise you would need to get out of the world and human society altogether!
      11. But now I write to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of [Christian] brother if he is known to be guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater [whose soul is devoted to any object that usurps the place of God], or is a person with a foul tongue [railing, abusing, reviling, slandering], or is a drunkard or a swindler or a robber. [No] you must not so much as eat with such a person.
      12. What [business] of mine is it and what right have I to judge outsiders? Is it not those inside [the church] upon whom you are to pass disciplinary judgment [passing censuring sentence on them as the facts require]?
      13. God alone sits in judgment on those who are outside. Drive out that wicked one from among you [expel him from your church].
God Requires us to KEEP the Blessings He gives to us, By Diligently Guarding over them and turning back the ATTACKS that would Destroy these Blessings from Him.
He has showed since the Days of Adam and Eve and of Cain and Abel that boasting in Tolerance is a Destructive Reaction to UNLAWFUL behavior.
