    Fr Gabriel thank you for talking with Austin. He is a humble young man. 🙏🏽

    Austin and his various interview partners had a rather large hand in my reconnecting with Christianity, and ultimately being chrismated in an (Eastern) Orthodox parish, about a year ago.

    I'm Lutheran, but I have a soft spot for the Coptic church. I enjoyed listening to this conversation! Also, can confirm that we hold to the Real Presence in the eucharist. However we hold to more of a presbyterial succession rather than apostolic succession.

      what is the key different between Presbyterian and Lutheran?

    • @RyanOlander
      @RyanOlander 7 днів тому

      @@ClipPerry We have different understanding of the sacraments, church polity, and generally how we interpret scripture.
      Presbyterians will typically have a memorial view of the eucharist (though some hold to spiritual presence) and covenental/symbolic view of baptism. Lutherans hold to sacramental union in the eucharist and baptismal regeneration.
      Presbyterians strictly hold to presbyterian polity where Lutherans allow for a number of polities.
      Presbyterians typically use a covenental paradigm to interpret scripture where Lutherans use a Christological approach.
      There's more, but I think this is a fair intro to the distinctions.

    Love my Coptic brothers but they are not Orthodox. I started my journey through the Coptic Church before switching to the Genuine Orthodox Church

      As a Protestant I am fascinated that every orthodox denomination says the others are not true orthodox. Why is that?

      Is it the official doctrine of the EOC?

      Coptic Orthodox Church has not changed in 1,800 years unlike the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic Church! That makes me think they are more likely to be the genuine Church.

      @@Marcosnationalistos Can you tell me where you got the information on how the Coptic Orthodox is the right one? I want to read more about it!

      @@gfujigo cause they think everyone that doesn't 100% agree with their dogma are heretics that are Anathema. That's the general issue with the apostolic churches as I call them.

    He is not an Orthodox priest but a Monophysite heretic.

    • @natg1m
      @natg1m 10 днів тому

      We are not monophysite please understand before you accuse people of heresy. If you really want to be genuine, you should admit and recognize that in council of Ephesus it was declared Christ is of 2 nature but 1 composite nature. Just read St. Cyrils writings on the topic and the 12 anathemas. Then come back and tell us who changed their theology when they accepted Leo’ Tome. It you are genuinely wanting to learn about it then you can reply back, but please don’t start accusing people without first understanding what you are uttering

      @@natg1m You are under anathema ever since the 4th Ecumenical Council and only way to change that is for you to repent and confess faith of the Lord's Bride - Eastern Orthodox Church. Until then, may Lord have mercy on the souls of Miaphysite/Monophysite heretics.!
