yeah you are right. was a bit short minded there but since destiny 2 went away from activision the micro transactions only got worse imo. I know they had to handle their funding alone from these but the last dlcs and expansion were really terrible. CoD i stopped playing after MW2 tbh
Helldivers 2 DOSENT usse FOMO??? Just because the items are always available for purches, doesnt mean you dont miss out if your not playing. Theres a tone of events that Ill never be able to experience, missions that dont exist any more and no way to play them. FOMO is Helldivers 2s main mechanic,
@@ArBee123 what missions do you mean exactly? Currently there are nearly all planets playable . I know what you mean but helldivers 2 in my experience was a game i could let set for a few months and then just return to it and have fun
@@EightEs I see what you are saying (you can not play during a long time and still get all the contents at your own pace afterwards) but you will miss the narrative of the war (maybe dont get to fight on legendary battlefield such as Malevelon Creek or blow a planet into a black hole like Meridia, and if you missed out the return of the Illuminates you will not be able to experience it)
@ I didn’t know that, I never really looked for the lore in the game but that sucks then. I thought that these planets are just kind of in a rotation and they come back. Thanks for clarifying this 🤝. Seems like there is still a lot which can be done in these games too to remove the fomo. Maybe they implement something like no man’s sky where you can replay expeditions because they rotate them. Maybe a event rotation would be cool to see in the future
Afaik the only "timed event" in HD2 was the suicide mission blowing up meridia. Btw illuminati are went back and they're moving towards meridia so Probably we will see a similar mission event soon
@@EightEs the thing with helldivers is the story is being told by the community and arrowhead. It is not possible to redo the creek because it will never will be the Same. That what made it spezial Was the Kontext in which it took place wich isn't possible to be revived. It is only special the first time araund. It is not necessary in my opinion to change anything abaut that in Helldivers2 because it is the way Helldivers is meant to be. It is like an dnd campaign if you miss out a session you will also miss out a part of the journey. I also want to say to you that your video is great. It made my day. Thank you.

@@longliness454that’s right. I played a lot of destiny 2. Nearly 400 hours. I loved these games, bought every cod since bo2 and every destiny 2 dlc. I just think they can do better. Don’t just erase planets but make them optional downloads. Fix the servers before releasing a bundle with skins. I know these are often bound decisions to their publishers but maybe one day they can catch a break and deliver a fun experience to everyone without the fear of missing out on important content

@EightEs Yea, I feel like it's a lot easier to exploit players in mp games and to waste a lot of time and money there. I don't really regret any of the hours modding Skyrim, playing dishonored, the Witcher, mass effect, doom etc. While for mp games like league or CSGO, I wish I could get my time back, just getting addicted to doing the same things over and over again just to see your rank number go up, or being addicted to getting stimulated by the sound and gold of dead minions etc, or spending money on little shitty skins that cost more than a bunch of great games or some cool irl stuff, or paying for that pass thingy(I never did). Feel like single player games are much healthier for my brain, my time and wallet. I'm more satisfied with 80 hours in a mass effect trilogy than 10k in league. I also loved rdr2, hope you enjoy it brother and merry Christmas
@ I totally get you. Man if I could get back the money from the item shops of Fortnite, black ops 4 or cold war. But when you are playing you don’t realize at first that these are useless. You think ,,why not,, and press buy. Merry christmas to you too!
This reason is why i jumped off the destiny cycle at lightfall. D1 will always be special but the burnout on d2 is real
