Hey Ray! What are your thoughts on resale hosting? Would you still recommend the same companies? And do your affiliate links still work accordingly?

Yea, I personally bought HostGator's reseller package as my first hosting plan back around 2010 because I knew all along I'd either want to freelance or create multiple blogs. The reseller hosting adds one level above cPanel with software called WHM that controls all your cPanel accounts. The links should still work regardless of the option you choose, and if you decide to go with HostGator the coupon code (WPC3) is the best method!

Also I published a video walking through the reseller steps to create a website here - ua-cam.com/video/B7zwx4F2N0w/v-deo.html - much of my process is the same to this day.

Hello, I would like to show you what to do, because I already have a website and apparently I have also logged in to my website. The problem is that when someone else goes to my website, they should watch the videos. They don't see the video. They only see it when they do research. My website is A New WordPress Site is COMING SOON Bali. The picture is from HostGator. I hope you can help me.

I went with HG's basic package (which has a page limit that I quickly found limiting) and used their website builder. Then I started listening to you and started thinking I would try Wordpress. I tried to upgrade my package to multiple sites/ pages with HG and they would not offer me a discount. They said I was limited to one deal even though I was willing to negotiate a prorated fee. They would not even credit my current plan towards an upgrade. Other than that, I have had no issues with them. Here is my question: if I bought another basic package for hosting a second site using wordpress, could I merge two wordpress sites onto one plan through you when my current obligation (3 years) expires? Hope this makes sense.

Yea, they normally only give discounts to first time customer accounts, all the renewals are regular price, which is how almost all hosts operate. The limitation you found (I think it's called Gator Builder) is the exact reason I don't like using those proprietary website builders... you sacrifice power and flexibility. WordPress is the most professional website content management platform that works across all hosts. Regarding the specifics of your last question, I'm not sure if you're asking me to personally help or whether you should select one of the hosting companies from this video. The short answer is if you want to host multiple WordPress websites on one plan, you need to select a plan that gives you unlimited domains. This is normally the mid-to-high level package, not the basic shared hosting that I recommend in this video for all hosts. However, if you want to build two websites, I would NOT wait 3 years! See if you can potentially get a refund for cancellation (that's normally 30-45 days after purchase) and it could be worth it for you to seek another company like Bluehost or SiteGround so you can get their initial customer offer. Ultimately these decision are up to you, I don't know whether these are serious business websites that must be launched or hobby-orient that are open-ended.
