- Did a quick trip into the boundary waters wilderness area in northern Minnesota with my dog Skeeter. It was a fun time, we covered a lot of miles and explored an area I hadn’t been to before. #diy #outdoors #homestead

The Boundary Waters is truly an experience. My family has explored the Boundary Waters and Voyagers National Park since I was 7 years old, I am now 67 with only 3 years missed.
The most loving and honouring thing you can do for Cierra and your baby is to wear a life jacket and even one for Skeeter, good on you Kyle! 🤗 Thanks for sharing your little journey, really impressive.

My Dad too his three sons and son in law on this trip. They came back so happy and full of stories for years. It was wonderful to see all the men getting along and caring for each other. Skeeter really turned out to be a great dog... super low maintenance as he never goes off on his own. He knows to stay within range of where you are at.
One tough guy !...great to see life jackets all worn . That is one heavy pack !
I think you will never regret living the lifestyle you have chosen. I think many of us will regret not living that lifestyle! 😀

Thank you. I live most of my life (70 years). I have done 20+ years of annual trips into the BWCAW for the east to the west. It brings up so many memories. Thank you , and give Skitter a hug.

I started going into the BWCA in 1972, my first biology professor was avid outdoors man. He took our classes up there 3 times a year. I continued going until my mid 40's. Always loved my time up there.
Really enjoyed the trip . Felt like I was taking it Nice when you are 73 . Like your new hair cut . Makes you look younger .
You are really ambitious building another cabin .

It’s amazing how well trained Skeeter is. He doesn’t seem to wander far. Glad you had a couple of rain free days. It’s beautiful in the Boundary Waters. We used to camp at Bear Skin. Hope you got some fish.
Morning Kyle, …it’s always good to go on a boundary trip with you for a day or two. You and Skeeter are always great company and always show us a great time and as for the night fire well why bother you can always eat your steak raw but making cold coffee in a morning is a big no no. We’d be worse than a bear with a sore head all day and that’d ruin the whole trip. Yep it’s all about getting the priorities right that makes the trip a worthy trip and for all the right reasons.😅😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 thanks for the memories Kyle.😊😊😊😊😊

To go out into the wilderness, kayaking with just a map, and camping all by yourself, in addition to building cabins... you've definitely lived before this life. This isn't your first time here.

I went to the BWCA in the summer of 1967. Was there one glorious week. Was in a church group from Illinois. It was my job to bring all the trash out. I was happy to do that. Pleased that that mining is being kept out of there. May it Always be done elsewhere.

Cool trip. Forgot to mention you also need to get some art on the walls of the bedroom and living room. Make sure your lighting is warm red light and not the blue daytime colored lighting. Take care.
