Follow our Path - Mark and Fiona Rammells adventure of having built the very first N51 in Istanbul Turkey by Telgeren. They will pick up the boat in October 2023 and sail her back to Wellington New Zealand. Follow their adventure

Man, this build is taking forever. Wonder if all the 51's will take so long. Yes, anxiously waiting for updates:-) I'd be going stir-crazy if I were the owner of this one:-) Hope you guys get her soon and can begin sea trails. We will be in the market next year and are comparing this one with the N41 and a couple of Kady's and a Fleming.
Thanks for the comment…yes it’s taking time but I can assure you they want the first boat to be perfect. Having seen the N41 production line I am very confident that once the first build is complete after solving all first build issues production will kick in. One day after we take delivery we will forget the time taken to get her. She will be one special boat. Next week we get a confident date for proposed launch which we will share. Thanks for reaching out.
I hope you are very happy with it. Haven't heard much. There must be some production issues. Obviously, they want to get it right and I can't imagine it's an easy process. I'm just being impatient. Please keep us posted:-) Happy New Year.@@AwanuiNZ

Hi guys…they are doing an amazing job over here. Many challenges including staff and product availability - sound familiar? Seems there is a great lack in young people wanting to enter the boat building industry and parts are difficult to source. The work they put into each boat is incredible, it’s been amazing watching them. Turkish people are so welcoming. Home Thursday

Hi Anita…it’s fun making these but lots of work. Old men like me learn slowly now. No doubt in my mind the art is in getting footage that does not need much editing…duh kind of obvious eh. We need to count how many times Aunty Fiona says “wow” or “amazing”….next video soon…
Have a boat built in a third world country,you will regret it,never ending problems, unskilled labour
Sorry disagree the Turkish are rebound boat builders. We are extremely impressed with the end product. Few niggles but nothing that would be unexpected for such a complicated build. In hindsight we should have insisted upon a third party survey prior to taking delivery…funny thing is even with those things still get missed. These boats are CE certified from beginning to end. I guess time will tell but there are already 30 + boats out there from this boat builder under the Nordhavn brand
