    Hi Paul,
    Lovely video as always.
I went to Hindhope Linn last May with my trusty little TZ60 and the waterfall is fairly accessible if you are physically able to get up and down the steep incline and steps.
Anyone planning to visit this site should be aware that this waterfall can dry up quite badly in the summer if there hasn't been any rain for a couple of weeks.
You and Denise stay safe and keep up the great work and UA-cam content.
    Lyn

Nice work Paul and it looks like a location with plenty of compositions to pick from. I though the tall skinny waterfall around 09:20 looked like it had the best potential and yielded the best results. 👍

It's a great place but quite small. I am sure with more time and a bit more concentration on a second visit it would be a different view. Thanks JB

Well that was a nice place that you and Denise found, and you managed to take some very nice pictures so well done, I am glad you mentioned the green colours that were really too green I noticed this when you started using your latest camera, it never happened when you was using your Canon and I am not a Canon user, of course all this just maybe my own viewing equipment but I do watch on a laptop and on the TV, but I am glad you have changed the white balance a bit.....anyway that was a nice way for me to start the week off doing all my catch ups now that I am back in the uk for 14 days only., lifes tough being a pensioner!....thanks for sharing....

Nice vlog mate them greens are very vibrant! Well the canon will obvs capture more detail that’s for sure! I have really motives since giving back the lumix. The files are more contrasty and look more worked in my opinion, the full frame files are more clean and natural looking! Love you shots buddy

Haha I think I over did the greens again but saying that the place was really that green haha. Yes my 5dmkiv is far better in detail but I like using the fuji and thats more important these days. I still need to come visit seaside

Lightroom does not process files from the XT series very well. Where as Aperture 1 is different and renders them beautifully. (Canon/Nikon Lightroom...Fuji / xt's Aperture 1)
    Hope that is useful :)

@@paulcomptonpdphotography from Alston, take the B6277 road to Middleton in Teesdale , at a stone bridge which is in a dip and bends both sides( if you pass the farm on the right , you gone too far ), park up on the right just before the bridge, on other side of the bridge, there is a style built into the wall. follow the path down to the falls ( very steep and muddy ) facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=695456084215097&set=a.252588711835172&type=3&eid=ARDi4u4PPeS-f8dhRPNHTjHbdig_GTmstkJGq7cmSFVg2iD2o6_FnBupEhG7wKiSX-ba2GnlKzZIC2Ux

In our local area we have Linn's (Old English, prob Anglian) Loup's (Scots/Middle English, prob Saxon) -lets not forget the Norse influence that's nearly spelt the same, and Eas's (Gaelic). What a great mixture of peoples we British are....(unsubtle political point).
The colour balance is much better. I'd still be tempted to tinker by:
    - Copying the background layer in PS, Auto Colour Correct (which will usually add blue to water/mist)and fading the layer to your personal taste
    - or desaturating/darkening the yellow a little (what we see as green is usually yellow in photoshop).
Lovely shots of the falls. I much prefer to come across new places by doing a little exploring rather than looking through a photographer's guidebook and then having to clone people out.
The honeypots arn't always the best places and as soon as they're well known they're ruined. We now have a famous site, thanks to the internet, very local to us and it drives the locals insane as a small country road has numpties parked all over it, even had a caravan parked there with a dog tied to it in the road, poor thing was scared out of its wits.
Is it reading or spelling dyslexia or both. Does it help if people put a spacer between paragraphs to break up blocks of text?

    • @paulcomptonpdphotography
      @paulcomptonpdphotography  4 роки тому

I am slow at reading and rubbish at spelling. The wife says I am dyslexic I will take her word for it haha
