Well it's simple cause Tejas MK2 is a totally new fighter jet it's not based on Tejas it's body is bigger than Tejas there are lots of aero dynamic changes as well even on a podcast a retired pilot from Air force said that when HAL did research on Tejas MK2 they didn't knew they have to make a whole new jet so the timeline they offered was before the research so they did a mistake by not evaluating Tejas MK2 and gave the timeline

Getting new engine into su-30mki like al-41 or modified idelizya-30 would be equivalent of putting "new and powerful hearth and soul into the su-30 mki aircraft which is an f-15 class of fighter.
AL 41 F engine would be sufficient izidyle 30 has more power not needed for su 30

HAL Will make Tejas mk2 rollout in 2027-28.
As per my knowledge this new 12 su-30 mki will be under completely new air command and will be used for nuclear deterrence .
All aircraft will have lazer weapons in future. So a bigger engine helps or maybe a smaller local compact engine with a high output will help power lazer and EW pods
SU 30MKI is one of the best aircraft in terms of design. if we will be able to reduce it's radar signature, it will be a game changer.
DRDO should provide highly compact survival kits like US army to not just SFs but also to all soldiers including under the ejection seats of airplanes.

Even though su 35 doesn't have AESA radar its IRBIS-E PESA radar is quite powerful enough to get the job done. China also has j-16 which has AESA radar so it's not like SU -30 mki will only face su-35..

Without AL 41 F1S Jet engine (145Kn thrust power) in SU 30 MKl fighter jets the they will be totally useless against Pakistan and China.
IAF's current service availability of SU 30 jet is only 60%.If lndia install new jet engine in SU 30 jets then lt will be very good.
Indian government should go with Russia for license production of AL 41 F1S Jet engine in HAL koraput Jet engine production factory.
India's 250 SU 30 MKl fighter jet upgradition process cost is 1.50 lakh crore.
All this is fine. But question is can this dominate the airspace it is in and deny access to F16s of Pakistan and the Chinese planes that might try to breach Indian airspace. India needs 200+ such jets to deny access to our airspace and standoff distances beyond our borders.

India su30 is more like su34 than su35. For the uninitiated, su34 is more into ground support and su35 is an air superiority fighter.

Indian su30 is more of an ground role fighter due to how heavy load it can carry. Su35 cannot carry much load as it needs to be really light and nimble. The only aircraft in Indian inventory that can carry heavy loads are su30, mirage2000 and one more.
What makes you think Indian su30 is similar to su35?
Indian airforce is worst in upgreding and new equipments procurement process. It's my opinion.

It's a phased upgrade program.. And it has already started... Uttam MK3 will be added when it become available.

@@achyutgawade1668 Bhai topic ke bare mei P a d o.. Su30 MKI is a 4.5Gen aircraft... It will become a 4.5+ Gen aircraft when upgraded with new avionics, software defined radio, digital flight computers, data link, radar absorbent paint etc. A 4th gen aircraft is one with digital Fly by wire, air to air refuelling like JF17 block2... Combine that with use of radar absorbing paint, some RCS reducing features and you get what can be called a 4.5 Gen aircraft. Su30 MKI is considered 4+ Gen because of use of thrust vectoring nozzles like the F22, F35 and J20.
