I jump back on my Downeaster 38 Ketch to clean and relocate my 1500GPH bilge pump then install a new 500GPH bilge pump and float switchafter vacuuming the bilge clean with a "shop vac". You make like the simple cage that I built to protect the pump from getting blocked.

hey buddy you’d love my bilge on the 41 the sole is highe i only have 3 steps from cockpit not a ladder
it’s very deep and access is the floor over engine

Wait until your fuel tank starts leaking and you have to cut everything up, including the tank to get it out.
FYI the bottom of the tank sits just about in the bottom of the bilge and always in bilge water (not the best idea.)
