Hi, thank you lots for such a nice comment! Indeed, the dev told me that just through emails, it seems he got over 200 requests for adding more large ships. He only added the current Command ship so soon due to the amount of positive feedback and requests around it, so who knows... :x :D
I know this isn't directly related, but what are the differences between the player built stations? Capital, Station, Outpost? I am not sure how the words are stored in the system, but I'd be more than happy to correct some spelling, there are quite a few so no way to list them all. I am really enjoying the game. You have to be careful on some quests, like protection quests. I used to program, way back in the day (1980 is when I learned) so I ran into users not performing tasks as I had programmed them just so they could, "see what happened" You can never think of everything and really have to rely on people reporting issues. There are far too many players who expect early release games to be perfect. This is an unreasonable expectation, but I am always pleased when developers don't let the bad comments bother them as that is not how the majority of the player base feels.
Hello! Capital Station is a unique station that can be upgraded and deliver many important "perks", like early-warning of enemy attacks, or a "Hospital" upgrade that lowers/prevents friendly soldier casualties. I believe normal stations are in mostly for fluff (placeholder) purposes at the moment. I'd imagine Outpost are cheap small stations to quickly claim a territory, and normal Stations often have lots of Population in them (on AI stations). This is only speculation as I don't really know the future plans regarding many features. And thank you for your kind words! The dev often focuses more on the positive feedback (but does respond to negative feedback, hence the latest "mode switch" into bugfixing) and keeps chugging along working fast. It is indeed disappointing sometimes when specific folks go out of their way to troll or even threaten devteams (which already happened more than a couple times here), and I find it even sillier on Early Access. But oh well, the best devs are self-motivated, and they find joy in delivering good stuff to like-minded folks. And thankfully, this is working just fine here. Thanks for watching!!
@@GabeuxGaming Thanks for the reply. It's as if they feel entitled in some way. Me, as long as there is forward motion, then I am happy. I just finished The Conquer mission and I didn't know what ot pick. The last system I grabbed didn't have any free planets to build anything around, so I assume it will be taken back. Which is fine, it's part of the game. I might have jumped the gun and added all the modules to my first station before I was supposed to, but I will see as I have to have a 'counsel meeting' next. Nothing that can't be fixed.
@@mbraden66 That is a lot of experience. o7 to a fellow tech worker! :D Oh not having any planets is a bit strange (although personally I would like having such systems in the game), I'm not 100% sure that is intended. I'll check in with the dev, but maybe that is what Outposts should be used for in the future - after all, these types of Stations are often placed freely in space (by AI).
Hello, i just discovered your channel, here is a question, i have played the game a while ago, and i experienced HEAVY memory elak using the auto turret perk or and using combat drones carrier ship, AI drones or turrets did not trigger a memory leak, only player drones and turret, i wanted to know if its fixed or if i was the only one experiencing that ?
Hey there! I'm not really aware of that. The Drones are being looked at for the next version, so I'll let the dev know to watch out for that. Thank you! :)
On your point about ground combat being too hard: for me, at least, it is ridiculously too hard. I am currently at the point where i have to pick Momo up after he has grabbed the blueprints. The last 1 or 2 guards (level 20/25) are (so far) completely unkillable and I have been trying for 3 days and it is driving me insane. Is there a way to skip or auto complete individual main story line missions if you get stuck? If not there probably should be. That is my only gripe about the game though, i think it's absolutely brilliant and was having so much fun up until this point
Indeed. This seems like the usual case of feedback being too strongly in one direction ("game is too easy!"), which made the rebalance a bit exaggerated. Hopefully next couple versions it evens out a bit. Thanks for watching! :D
Hi, its been a few weeks since I played this game. Currently Im waiting for the main raid mission to start. But as Im waiting, I joined the Freelancers guild. I did the first mission but when I go back to the contact, she does not give me any new missions. So now Im looking at Galaxy Web -> Looking for Pilot. Im assuming all the missions are there now from the guild? I should pick the 1 skull missions as they should be easy? Besides that, I absolutely love the big space battles btw different factions. I was doing a quest and a fight broke out and the sounds of explosion was amazing. Id love to watch more of that. Also, from the main quest, the quest made me upgrade a few parts on my ship and maybe Im wrong here, but it became far worse. Before it was taking me a min or less to destroy a fighter but after upgrade it took me almost 5 min to destroy one fighter. This was a few weeks ago and I see there have been changes. Hopefully I was fighting higher lvl people which is why it took so long.
Hey there! Hmm there's around 3 times in the game currently that the game tells you to "wait", but basically you have to jump around (warp jump) in order for it to count as "time passed". This is the way of the game to direct players to explore and level up before proceeding with the main quest. When the time comes, you get contacted by some story character to proceed with the story. The LFP panel shows Freelancer missions, LFM shows Mercenary (ground combat) missions. The Skull sign actually means the hardest type of missions, that can involve Bosses and legendary enemies, actually :D 1-star missions are the easiest ones. Regarding damage, at the start of the game the difference between enemy levels and tiers is really dramatic. Overall, it really is not worth it time-wise to fight enemies that are too strong and take too long to kill, for now I prefer levelling up faster at the start then going for harder missions. Once you get better gear and higher level, it becomes a different story. :) Thanks for watching!!
It can take a little while. Not exactly sure how many, but those wait steps are usually about Warp Jumps than time. So the best (and only) way to "wait" is to play around with the game, such as doing Guild missions, trading, or exploring :)
I got a flagship, but you can't upgrade the tier at the Hanger. Where do you upgrade the flagship? Also can't dock it at your capital base yet. I made a tools factory, not the one the story has u build for ships, but it doesn't make any tools? Don't know if this is a bug. Good Vid
Hey there! Capital Ship upgrading is not fully implemented yet. Some of it can be done by parking the Flagship near the Faction Hangar and using the upgrade system - no need to dock it. I believe Command ships come with Tier 4, so they don't need to have their tiers upgraded. Capital Ship (including Mothership) level can be upgraded, and Component/Turret slots added, but Perks can't be customized. There is an issue with player-built stations not producing resources currently. This is marked to be fixed by version 2.0.1, hopefully. :) Thank you!!
please don turn ground combat into a buleltsponge rpg, i liked how enemies died when shot, just increase the damage player takes instead of making everyone bulletproof.
Not really at the moment. But there's a type of ship (called Capital Ship, but the game lists it as Command/Flagship) that already has an interior and you can see your crew inside it in a simple way. I'm not sure the devs plans regarding small ship interiors, but since it is a common request, he could end up looking into it (hard to say though). Thanks for watching!
Sad to hear it. I'm outdated in terms of the game's issues, but the game was incompatible with most Win7 users. Other than that, for some reason Steam really likes to not install the required redistributables, so a reinstall can help. After updates, I also got Steam forgetting a file or two a lot, which required to Verify Files. This can happen to every game, but for some reason it happens a lot with SB2.

@@AutisticViking83 It's really hard to say, as with all the reports we tried but could notice no patterns. When recording this video in 4K for the first time, I derped with encoder configs and didn't realize that I was driving my CPU to 100ºC (and thermal throttling) while recording. I've noticed the game was much more unstable by then. I can't be sure if folks are doing similar things and running things too hot without noticing. Some people reported strange issues, but then it was verified they were playing with Vsync off and no FPS limiting on the GPU. This makes GPUs go into 100% utilization 100% of the time, which can lead to instabilities in different builds due to different reasons (PSU issues, cooling issues, etc). These are just my hunches, though. So, if wanting to try to lower instability, I would recommend monitoring the PC temps and making sure vsync is on. Other than that, hopefully the dev manages to find the cause of those crashes. As the game matures and gets optimized, those hopefully lower over time.
