Nope. I like to see the shock. Shocks are cool to look at. I want to be able to upgrade or change to a different shock if I feel so inclined. Scott is sort of like Apple iPhone, here it is, leave it alone because we know what is best for the consumer.
What a show, I never thought I'd get an ebike but it's the most amazing thing in the world. At the moment I'm struggling with the weight change but I'm getting out more and that's the big thing for me. Love the show and keep up the good work guys 🤘🏼🤙🏼
I've ridden full power emtbs, and honestly, I really prefer the lower power motors that have a small form factor (huge Fazua R60 fan - yeah, I know I know all about the reputation) that still make pedaling an emtb feel like riding a meat-powered mtb......it's definitely a taste, and not for everyone, so I'm glad I still have the option. If you're gonna go lightweight emtb, go all the way in....
Steve, look for a fidlock bottle, they have a cover . I personally wouldn’t buy a bike without a bottle cage option. On normal ride, I carry a bottle and toolbox on my bike, and on big ride, I even put another bottle over the seat tube close to the saddle with a fidlock strap (so the equivalent of 3 bottle) because my bike can have 2 bottle on the down tube.
About Scott! Don't get it? Why hide the Shock it's Cool looking looks like a'Full susp! And the Best way to carry Water is on your Back a'couple of liters in a'Camelback and works as the best back protection to,landed more than a'couple of times on my Back over the+ 30 years i have been Riding Mtbs and having that Blader with al that Water there is soft 😊
And it even doesn't make sense. What's the point of putting everything inside the frame other than making maintenance more difficult? Never change a running system 🤷🏼
It is even laughable, you must be a fool when you don't understand how ugly it is. Other new Scott E-bikes look very nice, but this is unacceptable. They should have chosen a 20-kilo mark. They made it even heavier.
I have a 2022 Scott Genius ebike and a Scott Genius acoustic bike. On the acoustic I use the lockout all the time. Pedaling efficiency is important. On the ebike I eventually removed it. The shock is set open. I do not need pedaling efficiency on an ebike, I just boost the power and smash through. Once the lock buttons were gone I moved my dropper button from the right to the left. Ebikes do not need to worry about pedaling efficiency, they have a motor to make up for the loss. I have owned my last Scott. They ride really nice but there are too many proprietary parts and gimmicks. Replacing something as simple as a chain guide is a royal pain. Their form over function scale has gone too much towards form. I am looking at the Santa Cruz Vala. Simple basic proven design with durability in mind.
I think lower power/lighter or long distance eMTBs definitely have a future. I like the standard and high modes most on my Yamaha and those modes are capped at 70 nM (100% and 190%). Too low is also possible too though, I find the 50% support of eco mode to be pointless
Only integrated lights that make sense are the front ones for dawn/dusk riding and as a support for night riding. Idk anyone riding on the road with an Mtb.
Completely agree with Steve definitely no water bottle on any of bikes ....hahaha does Bernard only ride in the dry may e a tarmac mountain biker 🤣😂...lol
I have not used a Water Bottle since my first race on a Mt Bike back in the late 80's! They fly out of the cage during a race and you've got zero water....Cameklback is the greatest idea fir that purpose!!!
I own a 2024 Patron 900 Tuned, and it looks stunning and the bike weighs 23.6 kilos. The new one looks ugly and we gave them LGBTQ colors. And it now weighs a lot more. Which clowns are responsible for this ugly bike? I would call it the Scott "Obesitas 900 Fatboy' series. The other new Scott E-bikes look very good, it is hard to understand why they chose this path. It is nice to have the opportunity to get the battery out more easily. But the plastic look makes it look like an AliExpress e-bike. The new Bosch motor has less power (340% vs 400%) compared to the Race motor of the 2024 900 Tuned bike.
What do you think of Scott's integrated shock design?
@@embn I think the design is great, no matter how "repair-friendly" it is. If I didn't had an E-Ransom, the Patron would be in the garage ✌️

Great Scott!
Really happy to see Neil back!

Happy to see the Don back!!Good on you guys>
I prefer carrying my small pack with internal water bladder.
Easy access with the tube over the shoulder clips
I like that you have different opinion .
Welcome back Neil. You have now verified my turning to ebikes after having a total knee replacement...with the other knee pending replacement too. LOL
Great to see the Don back. I always knew about his secret love for emtb’s 😂

Neil is trying very hard to seem enthusiastic about working on EMBN. We will see how long that lasts.
Great to see Neil back 🙏🙏🙏Cheers Mate from Western Australia ✌️

Great Job Scott!! By far the ugliest thing alive

Great content. I like the new format
Camelback all day . Duel purpose hydration and back protection.
Great to see you both Back. Maybe we need a new Chanel KMBN (knee mountain bike network) E=mtb²

Holy Hell the Don. Hell yeah. 🎉🎉🎉
The monarch crest is epic 30 miles of trail and descending

Is that ABS what I see on one of the shots of Scott?
Any news on shimano?
Looks like Kelly’s
Completely agree with Steve definitely no water bottle on any of bikes ....hahaha does Bernard only ride in the dry may e a tarmac mountain biker 🤣😂...lol
Pointless integration instead of features riders actually want.

That lmx64 as per their website "Halfway between an electric mountain bike and a motorcycle" has no place on an emtb channel.
That Scott looks epic much better than the old version
I would buy new glasses and take another look.
