His defense made Mahomes and the Chiefs look ordinary in the SB.
That is enough to keep him as head coach.
One thing Bowles has cannot be measured and that is intangibles. He is a good leader of men and the locker room always seems ready to leave it all on the field for him. Also, despite the standings on the chart you showed, we still rolled the Eagles (ranked #1) all the way out of the playoffs.
As a Jets fan, I was not sad when the Jets moved on from Bowles. Interestingly enough, I think the Jets' current coach, Rob Saleh, is very similar to Bowles. That is, both are very good at coaching defenses, but only mediocre (at best) as head coaches with questionable game management skills. I wouldn't be too surprised to see both Bowles and Saleh get canned next year.

In my opinion Bowles needs to hire a DC and just focus on being HC. We learned with Raheem Morris that one guy being DC and HC doesn't work.
When we hired Morris as head coach he was like...32 years old and had never even been a coordinator. Morris and Mark Dominik was the Glazers trying to be cheap and they quickly learned their lessons

Time to set the record straight on Coach Bowles for all the critics. First he's a product of Elizabeth, New Jersey, so not only is he smart, he's tough! Second, he played for and coached under Bruce Arians ( at Temple) Joe Gibbs and Bill Parcells, you don't play and coach under legends if you are incompetent. Coach Bowles also has a championship pedigree considering he has rings from Super Bowl XXII (player), Super Bowl XXXI (executive), and Super Bowl LV (assistant). I wish I was as inept as Coach Bowles and don't forget all of you critics, football is easy and anyone can win consistently in an environment with the best coaches and athletes on the planet. Piece of cake!

IMO, Bowles received some Coach of the Year votes simply because we were expected to win only 3 or 4 games. Yes, we had a weak schedule, but the experts knew that when making their predictions.
You made no mention of something I feel is very important... Bowles' players and coaches respect and respond well to him. I.e. - Baker is feeling appreciated, knows he can just be himself, and is playing and leading EXTREMELY well, etc.
Having been a Browns fan for over 60 years, I've witnessed that it takes a first time HC at least 3 seasons to start getting a good grip on the super complicated job of being a HC. Kudos to ownership for giving Bowles time to grow into being a good HC. It took Browns ownership FOREVER to figure that out. (How many HCs, OCs, and systems did Baker have during his prison time there?)

Todd Bowles is a great coach! He gave me the only winning season in the last like forever years as a JETS fan! 10 games won..You got more than that with him as your HC! He's learning and growing and winning! The JETS replaced him with Adam Gase. I don't wish that on you..lol..but you might speak that into existance...
2:34 that is very alarming for Carolina. Pause it the time stamp and look. There's a player WIDE open directly in front of Young and Young can't see him. Dang, he really is too short.
He a better DC than coach, he needs a great OC to balance him out.
He loves to bring the heat on defense
I like him. I have a feeling the Bucs will move on from him in a year or so and get in an offensive HC to bring it all together.

First time viewer & major Bucs fan. Bowles deserves some criticism, but this video is full of awful takes. You did a 10 minute video and didnt mention our abysmal O-line once! Baker was acked 40 times last year and we had a bottom 5 run game. Bowles doesnt do the drafting. You didn't mention Jason Licht once either. If you have an inconsistent O-line and run game youre going to be conservative going for it on 4th down, that easily explains the chart you posted.
Last point, you showed CD3 looking confused. He was traded away this off-season, wonder why?
I'd rather a coach who needs to improve in game management than scheme and player/personnel...
Todd Bowles is actually pretty garbage. He’s a losing coach and to top it off, the defensive players don’t even trust his play calling in crucial moments.
