Bucs are a center away form having an ELITE O Line
Look at Mauch's footwork. He has a small step walk backwards and that helps keep balanced even if a guy in pushing him back. His feet don't get far of the ground. That's a part of why he recovers so quickly. He also can work his way to the second level very well. You are spot on about him not committing penalties and playing a clean game. That's all discipline and playing within himself.
Looking at the video. Stinnie is doing a great job too. He should have been starting all year. Feiler is not very good and I knew it when we signed him.
Since Stinnie came in the run game has slowly been improving. And the game seems to be slowing down for Mauch to where he can play his game without having to think to much.
He came from NDSU, I got lucky to watch him play for a year. We sorely missed him on O line this season. During his entire stint at NDSU, where he was a WALK ON, he only allowed 2 sacks and only got one holding penalty. Absolute beast, the entire community loved seeing him get drafted and be able to take a spot he 100% deserves.
Green Bay's defense on Sunday was a joy to behold---for Bucs fans. Not so much for Packers fans. There were gaping holes on the D side of the ball for Green Bay all afternoon. I'm not the only one to remark about it. It has everybody wondering about Green Bay's plans for a new coordinator next season.

Mauch is a stud but we still need to grab a natural guard in the upcoming draft
Even if we get bumped in the wildcard we will be in range for Duke OT Graham Barton. He's projected to switch to Left Guard in the NFL and exactly what we need

Cody had one of the highest ratings of any O-lineman in decades, with scouts saying he had HOF upside and could play every position on the line. Obviously, a lot of teams didn't listen to the experts, or he would have been a top 10 pick.
I miss him at Oline at the college where he used to play. So many penalties on our oline this year whereas we had virtually none while we had Mauch. Miss him but happy to see him get national appreciation, he deserves it. Great player, even better person and attitude.

Mauch is definitely not a steal, hes a rookie who has struggled most of the season. We need him to take a step up next season or find a guard in FA.
I agree with the struggling part but lately he's been way more consistent allowing rachaad white to rush for 84+ yards over the past 4 games because bucs run through godeke and mauch
True but the light bulb has turned on finally. With another offseason to refine technique and gain strength. Yeah he's gonna be a rock at RG.
