I loved how Rouge One showed one of the dark sides to the Rebellion. The attack on Scarif cost the Rebels good pilots, ground forces, and ships they, at the time, could not replace. The only reason Luke was allowed to go anywhere near a X-wing was because the Rebellion was short on bodies to put into said X-wings... and Biggs Darklighter vouched for him. Admiral Raddus' ship, \Profundity\, was a heavily modified (meaning *Expensive*) MC75 Star Cruiser. The loss of that ship alone cost the Rebellion a pretty pen- ahem, *Credit*, not to mention the loss of an experienced *Admiral*. Be that as it may, the cost was overall WORTH the loss of manpower and equipment as the Rebellion succeeded in getting the plans for the Death Star... but the losses would set back the Rebels strike capabilities that would take years to replace.
Indeed. While it was a strategic victory, it was also a pyrrhic victory, since it stopped the ability of the Rebels to mount a similar or a bigger attack. @@MrCoolguy425 Andor absolutely knocked it out of the park. An easy 10/10 and it makes it all the more confusing that nothing has really even come close to it in terms of quality.
I always thought of the X-wing as what a military fighter in space should be. Versatile, multi-role and aerodynamic. I've heard complaints about how you don't need aerodynamics in space for a spacecraft, and for a civilian vessel, those people are absolutely right. But for a military vessel, combining both is idea. You only need to train one individual. True the training will be longer but the sheer quality of that individual would be unmatched.
And then he run into a turbo laser turret that can fire ~6 000 000 000 shots/second and you realized he had no chance what so ever and it was all wasted.

In my view the only small craft used correctly in any of the movies would be the snowspeeder, in terms of how they would operate and purpose. However how we saw them used were poorly executed. All of the rebel pilots actually flew 'into' fire when they should have gone up, to the side at an angle, and then tow cabled the AT-AT's.....or, better yet, focused and worked on the Y-wings and Millennium Falcon and used the Y-wings for bombing runs to wear down if not destroy the AT-AT's, snowspeeders coming in to either tow cable or take out the smaller walkers, while the Falcon was used as a gunship/troop transport. As for the X-wings there, send them out to look for landing craft. Not possible to hold Hoth, but they would have made the Imperials hurt far worse.
LOL people don't think about things before they say them sometimes. Obviously aerodynamics are very important for spacecraft, for many reasons. Definitely explores death, war, no Jedi/Sith influence. Literally just combat between New Republic forces and the Imperial Remnant.
Злой Волшебник I found what I wanted from this series evolved as I got older. When I was younger I wanted a action packed fantasy where the good guys triumphed over the villains but as I got older I started wanting a gritty tale where the lines between good and evil where blurred and the universe was shades of grey not just black and white. Rogue One has come closet film wise to that while out of the expanded universe books that I've read the closet would have to be Star Wars Battlefront Twilight Company.
Okay first off X-Wings are awesome and awesome starfighters don't get me wrong but can we also appreciate the awesomeness of Y-Wings and have a Y-Wing tribute

"Yes Sir. Give me a squadron of X-Wings!"
Star Wars and Sabaton in one video? Now my day is made!
I can’t believe that this much amazing is packed into one short video.
Well that was epic as all hell. Suddenly love x-wings even more now.
Glad rogue one Including the most important thing for XWing pilots strong mustache game
An amazing tribute to an amazing Starfighter and weapons system.
Rogue One - the only good project since Disney bought Lucasfilm.
Actually. Not. Only. Rogue. One.
Solo. is. also. good. movie.
The. Force. Awakens. also. nice. Movie. who. respect. original. trilogy.
Darth More Mandalorian and Clone Wars Season 7?
@@vernusred4757 It doesn't respect the original trilogy. It was a copy of the new hope, period.
@@vernusred4757 not solo or force awaken
Rouge One, Clone Wars season 7 and The Mandolorion = The only good DISNEY Star Wars projects.
Idk why but I think I'm addicted to this tribute
Starwars 1-6 and rouge one are definitely in my honest opinion the Best!!!!
Who else heard this song, but instead of watching the video you pretended to be in an X-Wing with this playing in the cockpit?
I played Star Wars battlefront as an X-wing while listening to this and I literally slayed everyone.
Ps they weren't bots
I fired up the old X-wing flight sims to this stuff
That's some Iron Eagle level of thinking there. How badass would that be?
It happen to me too lolz
I was playing battlefront and playing this song
Happy Star Wars Day to everyone!
😃😃😃
thank you sir
Yeeeeeeeee ha 😄😄😄
Thank you, Mcquarrie for designing this ship.
Damn nice video ;J We love to see X-Wings digfights and all but really... Every singel footsoldier is a hero in the rebelion... Because they fight for everyone !
Best Star Wars tribute!
Thanks man!
during the song
When I see this Holovid, I want to climb into my X-Wing and give the Empire a hard time ^^
Rogue One is a LEGEND of movie. Only the gods can measure the scale of awesomeness!
The only good part is the last 5 minutes
The clips are awesome, the background song is awesome, splendid job! Keep up the good work
Star Wars Galaxies Jump to light speed was the best X-Wing simulator by far. We did missions like this in big squadrons.
I miss my advanced x-wing frpm that game, every component was reversed engineered and tuned to perfection. It took me months but I had every stat on every component at the maximum possible value.
I've got an old Star Wars game that's basically a flight sim, and I always choose to pilot an X-Wing when I play random skirmish missions.
Nice job, man. X-wing deserved good tribute video long time ago.
Love some good X-Wing action!
Best one yet since the Star Wars/Danger Zone compilation.
This is the way Star Wars should be:dark and horrific.Death is real.
amen
Yeah, that is something that I have never liked about Star Wars, it should have been more about the reality of War than Fantasy.
If you're interested in that I would recommend the X-Wing series of books. Think Top-Gun meets Star Wars with X-Wings and Tie Fighters. It covers, imo, what you're looking for.
Two Words: Republic Commando
Is amazing how iconic a Star Wars spaceship can be. We have a T70 X-wing in the Smithsonian Museum.
Can it fly ? I want to test that in space. XD
R.I.P. Blue leader
F for respect
They need to release a new Star Wars combat flight sim, like the old X wing series.
Squadrons m8.
Okay first off X-Wings are awesome and awesome starfighters don't get me wrong but can we also appreciate the awesomeness of Y-Wings and have a Y-Wing tribute
I was thinking the same thing. Y-wings are my personal favorite
@@sirboomsalot4902 Cool
Just gives me the chills it’s so good
Sabaton
only years later i have learned of sabaton after seeing this, it was always ingrained in my head
I've seen a couple of Star Wars/Sabaton music videos, and no wonder those two work so well together. I'm even impressed with this music video about the X-Wing fighter and "Into the Fire". A good combo.
Sabaton, Star Wars, and war works well together. No denying that, right?
The majority of this videos footage proves why Rogue One was better than The Last Jedi. Actually Space Combat!! Oh and Damn Good video love the selection of song. Sabaton is AWESOME!!!!!
All star wars movies should have a Sabaton soundtrack. Maybe hit up Disney for a contract!
Rodney Payne amen to that they work so well together
Be cool if Sabaton releases an Album with songs about the Battles fought in the Star Wars movies.
It`s much better to get rid of disney)
I think that john williams is just the best, star wars doesnt need nobody else than john williams for a good soundtrack
No. Disney is not worthy for Sabaton.
This video is pretty much the perfect length for Danger Zone
These x-wings are my most favorite Rebel weapon in the whole star wars saga
But it still looks cool
@@franzivan4567 I agree
Amazingly awesome x-wing video!!!! I got x-wing games and a power fx x-wing too!!!! I've been flying that baby for 20 years!!!!!
"10 minutes before Luke, Han, Leia and the Falcon.."
Totally bad ass editing matches the beat. Kick ass vid
J’ai eu des frissons tellement c puissant🌟🔥🔥🌟❤️
Am I the only one who always gets the chills when spotting or hearing an X-Wing?
No^^
Nope. When my family went to see Force Awakens and we got to the scene where Han was captured the theatre went silent trying to figure out what had the stormtroopers getting nervous. Thes we saw the -Wings charging over the water and the theater went WILD!
@@danielhaire6677 These fighters are just awesome ^^
Disney could create a series based on X-wings novel, about Wedge Antilles rogue squadron and wraith squadron. Ehhh dreams.
Meh, they would just screw it up.
They won't, because they already exists. Why bother writing new novels when you can just continue to sell the old ones with this "legends" crap?
@@Psychos0568
you are right, I am seriously considering purchaing new copies, at this point my Rogue Squadron, Wedges Gamble and Krytos Trap (purchased in 96/97 and read through a dozen or more times)are held together with tape, they may not suvive another read through.
However a TV series or film series loosely based on those novels should be simple to do well
I would prefer disney not profane the best star wars books ever written.
@John Dillinger Oh good, Let kathy completely destroy star wars. Wait, I thought they declared all those books non canon.
For the thermal oscillator attack, Poe folds his X-Wing's S-Foils, flies full speed through the hole made by the sabotage team's thermal detonators, and dumps his full load of proton torpedoes into the oscillator assembly before pulling out.
Rogue One is the best star wars movie of the 21 century.
nice video i got goosebumps when i watching this for first time :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
i counted 6 x wing being lost in the music tribute, that means six pilots and six droids met their ends.
And in valhalla they rest

I LOVEX-WING
Amazingly awesome!!!! I got x-wing games and a power fx x-wing too!!!!!!!!!!? I still can't wait to go to the one thing that will make all of us really excited !!!! The star wars galaxy's edge!!!!!!!
Why is everyone hating on Star wars The last Jedi it gave me a new X-Wing designed to work with
because it sucked.
The Force Awakens gave that new x-wing design first.
The Force Awakens was definitely the better of the 3 Sequel Trilogy, but, it was completely blown apart by the awesomeness that is Rogue One! The Battle of Scarif is one of the greatest moments in all of Star Wars, and the scene where the Hammerhead Corvette pushes the disabled Star Destroyer into another one was absolutely brilliant! Rogue One is by far the best Star Wars movie, and that even includes the mighty The Empire Strikes Back! My favorite!
Job well done.
Thanks.
Very good work, i love Sabaton and Star Wars is also one of my favorite especially Rogue One
X-wings are cool
The best!
I personally prefer the Y-wings, but how can you not like the X-wings?
The edit goes so fucking hard
I love how they went full send with the WW2/Vietnam in space concepts in Rogue One, such as 1:43 with the movement and entertainment on the comms
Cant wait for Antilles!!! Go wedge!!!
Awesome! Love X-Wing
Rogue One is easily on par with the original Trilogy. It also restored Vader to his real self with that dark and savage ending and undid the damage done by the last prequel, much in the same way that X-Men: Days of Future Past undid the crappy 3rd film in that series. Rogue One is the last great Star Wars movie.
X-wings might be the best starfighter ever
The Incom T-41 space superiority fighter, ladies and gentlemen: The wings of liberty!

@@sirboomsalot4902 they are

Rip X-Wing Pilot :
the t-65 will always have a special place in my heart
Hate rogue 1 if ya want, but I loved it reminded me y I loved xwings
The scenes fit really well
Rogue one should’ve been a movie about a squadron of X wing pilots waging war against he empire. Shoot, Wedge should’ve had his own movie!
I’m so excited about that the new Star Wars movies hyper jump in to cinemas at the end of the year and also there’s hope in all of us that ignite the spark and bring an end the pandemic of COVID-19 and also live long and prosper 🖖🖖 a quote from Star Trek
nice song i love sabaton
Star wars and rock music. 2 of my favorite things.
the t-75 x Wing its like the spitfire mk 24
not a clasic but more advanced than the rest
Every time I would see an X wing, this song starts playing in my mind lol
good job :-)
The x-wing is the craft that truly like!!!!!! It is #1 in my book!!!!!!!!!!
We need this with higher quality
This is EPIC !
