Gotta give so much credit to the stunt crew, choreographers and especially the actual cast who did so much of their own stunts in that school fight. It paid off so much, such an outstanding set piece.
YES! The whole thing is quite elaborate. If anything it made me learn about the "Texas Switch", that happens multiple times through the sequence. Sure, it's not the most "beautiful" shot or whatever, but they really knew what they were doing with this one. Absolutely nailed it.
And a pretty darn epic musical score as well. :)
I think I am more addicted to TBR reactions of Cobra Kai, than I was of the show when originally released.
These two episodes really showcase William Zabka’s acting range so well.
He has done a lot of largely B movies, but this role was perfect for him
There are a lot of amazing fights throughout the show, but the school brawl really is my favorite.

After watching your reaction to Ep. 7 & 8, I literally could not wait for your reaction to Ep. 9 & 10, and you didn't disappoint. Your every reaction brought me back to my emotions when I originally watched the episodes. The fight sequence in the school is one of the most amazing scenes I've ever seen -- the way they transitioned from one pairing to another within the same fight scene -- incredible direction and choreography. The look on your faces when Miguel went over the rail -- that was EVERYONE who saw it. Spot on observations and reactions.

Ugh, I LOVE how much you guys have gotten into Cobra Kai!
Unlike other reaction channels, your reactions are not overly sensational. You both are really genuine and it just makes your reactions (and what you're reacting to) so much more impactful. I was 100% engaged throughout and I honestly can't decide what my favourite reaction (in this video) was. Definitely deserves a repeat watch.
Episode 9 was such a heartwarming episode, but there was the kids' drama brewing under the adult's noses, then episode 10 was the heartbreaking episode, where everything just exploded. And ep. 10 definitely felt like an "explosion"--everything has been destroyed; relationships, Cobra Kai, Miguel and even Robby is in the wind etc. It's still hurts to watch Johnny lose everything. He literally has no one.
I'm excited for your Season 3 reaction! You guys are awesome and have made me think about maybe starting my own reaction channel one day.

The double date at the restaurant in episode 9 is one of my favorite scenes in the whole Cobra Kai show.

I feel like I'm the only person on the planet that never wanted Daniel and Johnny to become friends. I can't let go of the 80s. Johnny's always the villain, including in Back To School, National Lampoon's European Vacation, and Just One of the Guys.

The S2 finale could be top 3 episodes of the series as a whole. There are still some moments yet to come that are up there so I wont spoil anything.
I feel like these two episodes more than most are what made me a Cobra Kai fan. I was really enjoying the show up until now, but these episodes demonstrated to me that the writers of the show were willing to go into places that even I had not thought imagined when I came on board just for the Karate Kid nostalgia. Now I was more interested and invested in the world they have created and not just the the nostalgia.
That high school fight is easily my favorite part of the show. The filming and choreography, and these are all young actors doing their own stunt work. Its incredibly impressive.
The school fight was dope as hell, especially how the cameraman did everything in one shot, so much emotion and pain through the school fight

The season 2 Finale is one of the best episodes of the series, it really is perfection with everyone’s acting, the fight choreography, the emotion, it hits all notes perfectly
I think technically UA-cam had the final edit ready for season 3 but ran into problems and was forced to sell the series. Season 4 is for sure 100% produced by Netflix.

The ending of episode 10 literally left me speechless, it was super devastating. I've loved the throwbacks to Teenage johnny with Miguel, like the skeleton costume for the Halloween Party,which for some reason I felt Miguel looked really good and confident in it. Then Johnny's Cobra Kai jacket. The fight choreography is really good, It was something I noticed right away, in some shows like Arrow, and even some later star wars movies they have this habit of having big fights where people in the background are just kind of moving around throwing punches randomly or maybe going half speed because it's in the background, in this show everything is deliberate and not a lot of generic random background fights.
This is my favorite finale of the show. The other ones are awesome too and I love them all. The next two seasons are awesome as well. They keep finding ways to not let the show go stale.
I am more addicted the TBR reactions than I was of the actual show when released. 😆

@@mariopenavic8573 To be honest none of the Karate Kid sequels were very good,, though they had great characters. This is in part because writer Robert Mark Kamen was not allowed to see his vision through.He wanted KK3 to delve further into Mr Miyagi's background. He also was pushed into always having the conclusion a big fight scene. For 2 and 3 he would have done differently.
@@jgsrhythm100 True, getting your creative choices tweaked or turned down is always a bummer, but I would still say they are enjoyable films to watch on their own. For example, before I've watched it, I have heard and read so much negativity about The Next Karate Kid that it alone peaked my interest. However, when I did see it, I found it to be surprisingly heartwarming in many scenes, if a bit cheesy. I guess I could say that about KK3 as well.

Whenever he appeared in KK3, he would steal the scene with such a crazy performance (Although he ain't bad looking either, but he does try to appear quite approachable and nice in the beginning.). I think I read somewhere, maybe in a another comment or some article, that he is basically the Palpatine to Daniel's Luke Skywalker. I would call that an apt comparison.
Not sure if anyone brought it up to you guys, some other reactors brought this up and it made a lot of sense. Sam drinking in excess at the party must've been extra tough for Robby considering his mom's addiction, and it speaks to how he was caring for Sam and getting her food, trying to keep her safe like he probably has to do for his mother. It really sucks for Robby to be in this circumstance so soon after seeing his mom and her checking into rehab.
*FUN FACT* Robbie's mom (Diora Baird) has been on posters, and is one of the hottest women in Two and a Half Men history (Was actually on a poster in a TAHM episode). The fact that the CK staff tones down her looks really shows her acting chops.
You two are going to LOVE season three, especially eps. 4 and 5.
TBR & Sam.....SEASON 3?.... It just keeps getting better....a solid show and this is the proper way to "Reboot" a franchise by keeping the original fanbase happy with original characters and then gaining a newer fanbase by introducing the younger cast and likable characters to were it feels natural and not forced. Can't wait for next, Tuesday.
I was kind of glad I had to wait for Season 3, as that gave me and my friends time to ruminate over Season 2's finale and where the show was heading, which was interesting in its own way. We were right in some parts and wrong in others, but I think letting the audience stew is not such a bad thing.
So I wanted to watch the whole reaction before leaving another comment. So I was thinking about it like this. Everyone on the show has these moments where if they could just communicate better it would help with some of their issues and avoid some of the drama.
Sam - moved on from Miguel to Robbie without really making it clear why she didn't want to be with him anymore. Then when she kissed Miguel at the party she didn't tell robbie and she didn't make an attempt to clear the air with tory.
Miguel used his relationship with Johnny as a way to antagonize robbie during the fight....example " you like that move? I learned it from your daddy"
Tory started dating Miguel knowing that she had already had a run in with Sam, and at the time they were starting their I initial friendship/relationship she knew that Miguel still had feelings for Sam because he made the PowerPoint for her. Saying he was sorry
Robbie let his anger get the best of him with Miguel and it seems like he was now losing everyone, Sam because during the fight tory spilled the beans that she kissed Miguel, he lost Daniel for the 2nd time because he was once again keeping secrets from him like in first season when he didn't tell him that Johnny was his dad, which made Daniel not want to continue training with him and why he started the all valley unaffiliated.
Johnny tried to do the right thing but, given his previous history with Daniel he probably should have called him sooner.
Daniel- his focus was completely off...he shouldn't have been trying so hard to shut down cobra Kai because by doing that he let everything else slip by and his hot headed nature took over several times and by that point he strained his relationships with Amanda, Anoush and Sam and even Robbie I mean imagine I every time you had an argument with someone they told you they didn't want anything to do with you.

Season 3 and 4 are so emotional and epic! The best seasons of the show.
You're in for a real treat with Season 3. Lots of old friends and enemies await. You will laugh, and you will cry. And you will ❤️ every minute of it.
What are you talking about?? Tory literally started the whole fight. She physically broke into the school's p.a. office, called Sam out and proceeded to face off with her, armed with a spike bracelet she'd previously used as a weapon. She also started a physical confrontation at her own job the weekend before. In addition she knew how Miguel felt about Sam when she met him, which is probably half the reason she inserted herself into the middle of their fight and made a pass at him in the first place. Yes, she has a lot to be annoyed about, but after the past couple of days you could say that about basically all of the central Cobra Kai and Miyagi Do kid characters. And really, the reason they couldn't look at each other in the elevator, is that the culprits here are the two men who passed most of this rivalry bullshit on to their offspring and students. Don't get me wrong, I love Johnny and Daniel, but their rivalry is what is at the heart of all of this. And Kreese's presence hasn't been helpful. And let's not overlook the words Daniel put in Robby's ears right before school. That moment on the balcony was about a lot more than just the heat of a moment or a girl that got between them. At that point they're also fighting over a father. Whoo. That was a whole speech. Anyway, just some thoughts.
I was waiting for this one... this so far is my favorite reaction and commentary for Cobra Kai in your channel. I really like season 2 episode 9 so much with Johnny and Daniel happened to be having dinner at the same restaurant with Carmen and Amanda ... there was a real hint of a bromance starting and I was loving how the four adults were just having a fun night out . I feel like TBR and Sam are so right about how similar Johnny and Danial are but they have very different ways about handling just about anything .
Sam is right about the kids and how their fighting escalated everything and it went over into the first day back at school ; in episode 10 with the whole school scene Sam's says "He is literally beating up children" referring to Stingray.... who was there applying for a security guard position of all things . As much as Tory had a legit reason to be mad and want to confront Sam about Migual... Tory really did take the worst possible route to handling that situation . There really was a way to talk things over or agree to a one on one... without having that level of violence . Sam had even asked Tory to stop fighting with her but Tory made her decision to keep going . Seeing Miguel show Robbie mercy really showed me how Johnny had such an impact on Miguel.... the Miguel scene of him falling is so hard to watch I also noticed Sam's reaction.... that was hard to see .
Now I am excited to see how you both are going to handle season 3... might be my favorite season . Thank you both so much. 💯% 🥋🔥😎
The Season 2 finale is where everybody ended up worse when it was done and Kreese is fully in charge of Cobra Kai again with students who are on his side. Thing is, Season 3 is even better in character development with some great episodes. Cobra Kai is my favorite TV show right now. I can't wait for more reactions to Cobra Kai. TBR and Samantha are one of my favorite reactors on UA-cam. Can't wait for the Rocky Balboa reaction tomorrow night.

You two are very lucky. I was one of several people who watched seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix back in August 2020, and we had to wait four months to watch season 3. However, there were even more people who saw season 2 back in April 2019. They had to wait almost two years for the continuation.
I was one of those and yes, it was excruciating :)) I have seen this show from when the first episode aired on youtube back in 2018 because i was a great fan of the Karate Kid saga ever since childhood and when I saw they were doing this show, I was excited beyond belief.
Saw this Season on UA-cam Plus those Days. And the Cliffhanger was soooooo sooooo outrages. Had to wait so long for Season 3.
I like how even Hawk was surprised when that guy beat up the teacher. Even a pissed off Hawk has standards 🤣

Robby's a true Miyagi-Do he barely knows Demetri and he stands in front of Hawk and says with such menace "DON'T TOUCH HIM!!!"
And yet didn’t stop fighting when his opponent clearly showed mercy to him , something that he’s been learning since S1 . " True Miyagi-Do " yeah right 😂😂
That ridiculous school brawl just made me love the show. So completely absurd and dramatic, and over the top.

42:45 Season 3 was the first on Netflix, but it was completely done before they signed with Netflix. Netflix delayed it to do some cleaning up on it, but in terms of production budget, all of it was filmed while under the UA-cam deal. They had the whole season ready to go when UA-cam decided they were done with scripted shows. It made the wait even worse for those of us that watched the first two when they ran on UA-cam because we knew it was ready to go, but Netflix wouldn't announce when it was coming. It was about two years we waited. One bonus of them adding the first two seasons earlier for me was my wife sat down with me when I decided to rewatch, and even not being a Karate Kid fan at all, she got hooked.

The finale is especially hard to describe, because it was both equally so terrifying and sad while also amazing in production and execution. I am already on season 3 and I cannot wait for your reactions! It's a blast!
Great reaction, as usual. And as I've pointed out on one of your vids before, the biggest thing creating drama in this series is lack of communication or miscommunication. In most cases, when the characters start talking to each other and come clean about their feelings and what's actually going on, it helps the situation. The exception to this communication rule would be when a character just starts talking shit. Of course, I'd still chalk that up as a form of "miscommunication"... even if done intentionally.

It was over a year between it getting dropped from youtube to netflix picking it up and it was brutal having to wait. They dropped season 1 and 2 on netflix at the same time then few months later they added season 3.
Episode 10 quickly went from being the coolest with the choreography of the school brawl to the saddest with what happened to Miguel, then Johnny, etc. Where do they go from here? I know, but you'll find out. Great reaction!
I remember watching this for the first time it really reminded me of the sensei guy and rock lee situation after the gaara fight...

Seriously tho, this show ages like fine wine. It keeps getting better and better. Season 1 was great, 2 was a wild ride, 3 is flat-out awesome, and 4 is phenomenal!

This bought me back to when I watched it, it was the most and still the most memorable part of it all (gave me a weird warm feeling idk) and having to wait for the next season was longgg, I was listening to the music/soundtrack everyday afterward while also thinking what’s next?.

Miguel definitely showed a lot of maturity showing mercy to Robbie and idk I'm probably in the minority but I also think its very easy to show mercy after you've already gotten the best of somebody in a fight that you technically started. Like if a dude kicked my ass I wouldn't be quick to just accept an apology while he's holding me down & just kissed my girlfriend lol just saying I don't blame Robbie for reacting the way he did I'd probably do the same as a hot headed teenager. It was just the most unfortunate circumstance that they were fighting on a flight of stairs. He blacked out at the worst possible moment.
I agree with you. I love all the Characters but feel they were all at fault in their own ways. Miguel saying sorry meant nothing to Robby in that moment. Just 'cause Miguel thought it was over didnt mean it was over in Robbys mind. I doubt he even heard the 'Sorry'. I'd get up fighting back as well. It was a sad unfortunate situation leading to the fall, which very easily could have been Robby falling just shortly before when Miguel kicked him near the rail.
I get so into reading comments and find it crazy how defensive people can be about a character. I love them all and see the good and bad in them all. But people get so blinded. Lol
The 1 thing I've always wondered is why it took Miguel so long to get to the fight, he was sitting next to hawk in class, but hawk got there a lot faster. Amazing reactions BTW

I actually considered not watching Cobra Kai after this season as I thought they jumped the shark a bit with that school fight episode but by the time season 3 rolled around I binged it in no time 😂
I'm glad you guys got to the halfway point in Cobra Kai of the first 4 seasons because these two episodes were the difference on how the next two seasons would define this series and more over how alot of people got hooked to this series. It's gonna definitely ramp up without spoiling anything but at the same time lives will change and Episode 10 was one of the life changing episodes. The next two seasons will blow you guys away so get ready for them. So glad to watch your reactions to the Karate Kid movies and flowing into Cobra Kai...well done! 34:17 - You guys are lucky to be able to go right to Season 3. In real time, there was an almost 2-year delay (2019-2021) in between Season 2 and Season 3 of Cobra Kai until Netflix finally picked up the show after You Tube decided to do away with its streaming service (You Tube Red originally aired Seasons 1 and 2). Thus, technically, Miguel was in a 2 year coma. :) imagine Samantha's stress and trauma having to wait that long to finally get see the repercussions of the Season 2 all out brawl finale. :) 42:28- I can't believe TBR was aware of what I just wrote! No other reactors are even CLOSE to as knowledgeable and insightful as you two. Phenomenal!

Episode 10 is my favorite episode from this season. The school fight scene at the end was so intense. I always give major props to the stunt coordinators for this show. Especially with big fight scenes like that.

I envy you two, I had to wait nearly a year to see the next season. I know this was a rough season, but season 3 is just badass, and my favorite one so far.

Cobra Kai is such a brilliant extention of the original films.
It was fine in 1984 to simply make a movie about a bullied kid learning to defend himself then kicking his tormentors asses (obviously there's more to it than that, but...).
Kid2 warns against letting pride cloud compassion and love. Kid3 looks at the corrosive cost of hubris and rage.
So (just skipping NextKid for now) from the jump Cobra Kais focus on the benefits of communication and compromise doesn't just provide a fantastic dramatic narrative, but a compelling moral one. Seeing everyones point of view (something one can do in an ongoing tv show) allows us to understand and even sympathize with practically everyone. That raises the stakes so much higher.
Season 2 finally OOF! Now the real show begins!! Glad you 2 our really get caught up with us fans who have finished all 4 seasons already

When season 3 came out my wife and I rewatched 1 and 2. On Sunday we finished 3 and was mad that we had to wait for 4.

I originally put this show on when it first came out on UA-cam thinking it’ll be a joke. Boy, was I wrong. I ended up binging the entire first season in one day. 😂
It’s good you guys don’t have to wait almost 2 years for season 3,it felt like forever. It was over a year before we were given any idea of when and if it would even happen
