At 10:19 you ask the question what is more important in determining the size of a rectangle and in general it's length is the longer side and it's width is its shorter side. knowing this you can draw a few more conclusions than before but still not much.

Sharkee the secret to success is making your own definition of success. If your definition of success is easily achievable, being successfull is easy.
If I live another day I am successfully alive. If I am hungry and eat something I am successfully nurturing my body.

That's odd... i am a big fan of this channel, and i try to keep up with the new videos that come out. But i was unaware that this video had released until now ( a month later) and i also see that there is a small view count :(. Sharkee your content is great and i don't see any reason why this video is being undervalued, and even though me as a single being can't make this video get as much views as it can get, remember that (and im 100% sure) that there are many people who really appreciate your videos for its quality. Im too young to be able to donate you on patreon but if i wasen't i would surely donate plenty.

Not always. UA-cam was not the first video streaming site. Metacafe was. Nobody even remembers metaface anymore... Also, Microsoft (not the first GUI OS) and Facebook (what about friendster and myspace) weren't first. So no. You're wrong. Not saying Sharkee is wrong. I'm talking about the specific point made by the commentor Dave Null and Fester Blats.

One different problem with success lies in defining it. This video takes a look at success for the individual from a lens external to that individual. But this is not necessarily success. Are the criteria for individual success set by the individual in question, by the observers of that individual, or by the universe itself?
The concept of « success » as most people use it seems to deal with a) the ability to achieve one’s own goal/goals and b) the ability to recognize that fact. To illustrate:
    a) Are you successful if you’re a billionaire who wants to be a professional ballerina, but simply cannot learn to do ballet despite coaches and medical procedures? Sure, you’re a billionaire, which is the « goal » of many, but it isn’t yours. You have failed at your ballerina goal. In that respect, you unsuccessful. This also connected to the question of how to combine multiple successes. Let’s say you are successful at being a billionaire, but not at being a ballerina. So are you successful in general? What is your metric to combine the two? Do you perform a utility calculus?
    b) Are you successful if neither you nor anyone else knows you are successful? Doesn’t seem likely. Example: you’re about to win a secret, exclusive underground watermelon eating competition which you’ve spent months preparing for. The criterion for winning is to have the most watermelon in your stomach out of all participants when the buzzer sounds. So, as it happens, you end up in the lead and no one can catch up, but with 3 seconds to go, due to a chemical in the air, everyone there including you starts to believe permanently that you’re eating dead babies. Nonetheless, the buzzer sounds, and objectively, you have the most watermelon in your stomach. But no one ever knows this. Are you successful in winning the watermelon competition?
So, let’s say individual success is achieving your goals and having someone(or/and you) recognize that. Then « successful » could simply mean having read an article, just like it could mean discovering a cure for cancer.

Sharkee, you are successful. You've got some videos with lots of views.
Unfortunately, for your channel to become more popular you would have to change what makes it so great in the first place.
You would need to produce content more frequently instead of once a month. But if you did that your videos wouldn't be as thoughtful and in-depth as they are now.

I don't wanna sound mean, considering u put so much effort into this video. The point of this video, as the title suggests, is to explain if success is defined by luck? Ok, so I see where you're headed when u use the coin flip anology. But then u go and start on things which contradicts the point, and on top of that u keep getting sidetracked by ideas u can't seem to stop going on about. I can't believed i watched over 10 mins of naught. Please, let the wise ones do the videos, you should be on forums debating instead. You speak like you're talking to economists/analysts/investors/distributors and such. However, ur content is more targeted at growing adults who have trouble firguring out their own life. To simply put, stop bullshiting and instead get to the point. 🙂
