I replayed this a bunch and I still can't tell what he even did wrong. Game just decided "fuck you" lol.
Maybe an accidental double click caused it to fire the launcher as soon as he clicked to use it

The weapon was already selected, and the grenade can freely target map within range
Whet gets me is his mouse was surely over the grenade button when he selected the target! It even started to display the grenade name!
double click glitch. is a bug.
It's just a normal bug, clicking the button sometimes also counts as clicking the ground. Happens with movement as well

bug? literally could not tell what happened somehow he fired the nade onto his own team? yet wasn't his cursor on the enemy and he was high up so could not have been blocked no? lol
If you move and queue an action before a new available action pops up this sort of thing can happen. Clearly this was not the case though. I've played for many years and have never seen this before.

Another reason why I will never touch X-com or any games like it ever again. When the game is functioning as intended the computer always has the advantage. When there's a bug it only punishes you.
The worst example of that is game intended. The Lost having a code that means they're 70% likely to target you rather than Aliens - for no in lore reason whatsoever

@@milkshakellie It can happen if you double click the button. I've had it happen to me on several occasions because my mouse used to have an issue that it sometimes "double clicked" when I tried to just single click. Shit was pretty annoying let me tell you haha
