You've got that right. Kolkata offers everything -- literally everything -- at really cheap rates. You'd be surprised to hear this, but the farther you stray from proper Kolkata, the cheaper it is. At my place, you get chowmein for Rs. 25/- (and that's the same portion you got) ^^

@@Scullian07 It's a half and hour train ride from the heart of the city - Howrah. Keep an eye on the stations, you need to get down at "Mankundu". As I said earlier, it is a suburban area so you could expect a dearth of shopping malls and/or American food chains. On the contrary, whatever you get there - be it street food or groceries - are locally sourced - no fancy packaging, no preservatives - just the goodness of nature :) The town is located right on the banks of the Ganges river, so you get to enjoy a nice view and a mild breeze as an added bonus, while you're at it.
One thing you need to keep in mind, well not just here but anywhere in India, is that you shouldn't trust anyone blindly on the streets. Impoverished people might try to loot you - they only see you as a living walking gold mine. If you do need advice, go talk to a shopkeepers - they are the closest thing you have to a friend here. (Other than me, of course).
Other than that, there'll be lots to enjoy - local life, scenery, food - all the things most foreign vloggers miss cuz they just scuttle around central Kolkata. Hope you enjoy the city, if you do come. Cheers mate~

And in case of hair cut too, that made me to go crazy.. Seriously? Why do they charge so much for a hair cut? They didn't sign a contract to cut a person, it's just a merry hair cut😑

°arsalan-mutton biryani and mutton tezala
°kings grill-mixed chow mein and chilli prawn .

You had missed kolkata famous mustard sauce in this chowmin you will surely love that combination 😋😋😋
Extremely full with chicken chowmin and chicken manchurian.wow delicious and refreshing lemon soda that was really good.
