Whats up guys in todays video we are cutting up a perfectly good hood in order to build something I have wanted for quite some time.

Just drive without an Engine Cover???? Then the Vents won’t hit and that would ACTUALLY cool the Engine better
Cool. I say go crazy and cut more vents. Wrap the cut edges with rubber liner.

That looks pretty awesome. I just did those louvers on my Civic trying to figure out what to do with it next. I also made some vendors I put metal on both sides and mesh at the bottom. Trying to decide how to finish it up.

Looks good..but why does everyone always just push down the slits? Make template pieces or squares and tack them up to the edges of the vent hole. Draw or figure out the curve you want, then slowly bend and tack the center piece of metal along the way, wallah! Nice curved vent

Ruben Ortiz the engine cover is covering the coil packs and main harness pretty good. my worry is just water on the belts. will do an update video in a few weeks

Looks good you should paint those exposed pieces of metal that can rust now they have been cut.
dorrystalkerkilla luckily this hood is stainless but next video I will be finishing the hood off with paint

Outlawed productions started 10 inches from the bottom. vent sizes are 4 inches plus 4 inches apart. and 7 inches wide

While the VIS hood is great, (I have it on my ‘12 sentra SER) the owner is a huge jackass. He has terrible reviews for the way he talks to customers and such. Just be aware if you go that route.
