  • Looking for a reverse osmosis water system? I recently bought a tankless water filter system for the home. In this video, I install and test the Waterdrop D6 Reverse Osmosis tankless water filtration system. Be sure to watch until the end to see the results of the water purity tests on tap water, concentrate water, and even bottled water using a TDS meter. You’re going to be surprised by the TDS meter readings!

    What kind of water filtration system do you have?

    Looks pretty cool. I would definitely order one if I had an outlet under my sink.

      Run an extension cable. I got tired of hauling bottled water. Worth it!

    Water conductivity increases with temperature as the ions move around faster and more freely.

    Dude, did you clean or removed water from meter when moving from glass to glass??? 🤔🤔🤔

    What about the cross connection problem? Can the drain back up into your drinking water?

    You should run the same test before replacing the filter PLZ.

    "Bottled water" covers a HUGE range of products, usually in the category of "drinking water"....which typically make claims of being "purified" but retaining "beneficial" minerals. I would not expect them to have a particularly low TDS reading. This is a bogus comparison. The numbers you tested between your RO water and tap water showed 18/151 = approx 88% exclusion ratio...which is not very good for any RO system. The one I have and several others I am familiar with, including the vanding machines available at various stores, run 95-98% exclusion ratios. All of the under-sink units have better flow-rates than this system. None of them require a power source. Glad you're impressed and satisfied. I would not be.

    what is the power needed for? vs a RO system that works based on water pressure?

    • @ITechedUp
      @ITechedUp  3 роки тому +1

      That's a great question! Honestly I'm not too sure but if I had to guess it's because this is a tankless unit. Hence no water is stored in it and there's no pressure without power. Something like that. I would be interested to know for sure if anyone else has an idea.

      Power is pretty much for the pump, traditional system uses tank with pressurized bladder to increase water pressure at the tap.

    how much water is wasted per gallon of water

    • @ITechedUp
      @ITechedUp  3 роки тому +1

      1.5 gallons wasted per one gallon of concentrated water. This is a good ratio compared with other systems.

      @@ITechedUp I believe its the other way around (pure water to waste water ratio). In other words, 1.5 gallons of pure water to 1 gallon of waste water, which is fantastic! Thanks for making the video and showing the results!
